WOW! This show has rocked my world. I've been trying to get my friends to watch it but they just won't (LOSERS). I tried to cram a lot in this video, but I know there is a lot I wasn't able to get to. My apologies, or as they say in German " Es tut mir leid!"
I wish someone elaborated how exactly Claudia figured out everything about the origin world. She doesn't go into details in that scene, it's not explained on dark netflix io website. Was it completely theoretical, like Einstein predicting black holes? Or did she try and go to the 3rd world? Did she do some experiments?
Or dont love them enough so you dont give them a bloody damn name, but love them enough to keep an endless loop of pain and tragedy so they can have a life???
We're fooled to believe that Adam and Eva are the bosses and do the whole things for time travel. In the end, we're realized that the real boss is Claudia who lead them just to save Regina.
so Claudia is Good & Jonas aka Adam is evil lol but season 1 show these two characters opposite personality and I never thought that Claudia is actually doing for goodness
@Demon Panda It was just a joke. Woller actor had an injury before starting the series that's why he has the bandage but as viewers thought that was some kind of special detail the producers keep it
When they appeared on the road in the origin world for second I thought that they cause the accident that kills Marek and his wife, that would be really depressing
Lol same here! When i saw them suddenly popped out in the middle of the street when Tanhaus's sons car was approaching and losing control, i was like, ah fuck so theyre the cause again!... Car suddenly stopped and they lived.. false alarm
I also love how they all tied this down into realm of quantum physics somehow, with stuff like quantum entanglement, the God particle and the whole thing basically being one giant quantum eraser experiment xD (th-cam.com/video/8ORLN_KwAgs/w-d-xo.html)
I know I'm late, but the fact that Tannhaus' plan to invent a time machine and save his family actually succeeded (in the most twisted and mind-bending way) at the end of the story, is just beautiful.
Great analysis. But just so you know; Tanhaus' real granddaughter who disappeared in the accident is not the same Charlotte we all know who is both Elisabeth's mother and daughter
@@Cat-oj5oj its not the same Charlotte, because the Charlotte we know is the daughter of Noah and Elizabeth. And they both are the result of the family tree that is the result of the two worlds that are created WHEN THE SON, THE DAUGHTER IN LAW AND THE GRANDDAUGHTER OF TANHAUS DIE (so he creates the worlds when trying to go back in time to prevent their deaths). This Charlotte is Tanhaus's granddaughter and when they die, he gets the Charlotte we know and probably names her after her "original" granddaughter :)
@@mariapaulamacedo4858 Okay first of all Charlotte was named Charlotte by Noah(Hanno)and Elisabeth beforehand..Also if you haven't missed the beginning of the third episode you will know that there is a man in a chariot whose wife's name is Charlotte and he is discussing death with his blind son who happens to the owner of Tanhhaus factory in 1888..The blind, old Tanhhaus..
@@shreysingh9327 Yes. Charlotte Tanhauss (the product of Marek and Sonja) is named after her grand grand grandmother Charlotte Tanhauss, the wife of Gustav Tanhauss. While, Charlotte Doppler is the product of Elizabeth and Hanno, which is totally different individual. The name itself, however, can be correlated and influenced by each other. Since, at same time H.G. Tanhauss loses his family, baby Charlotte Doppler arrives in his door.
Also Jonas found the Katherine's locket in s2e6 near the lake when he was sitting with Martha...it was dropped when Katherine dies and her mother was disposing Katherine's body
You got a number of things wrong due to the fact that you didn’t catch that a number of characters disappear from existence along with Jonas and Martha: - Charlotte cannot exist nor can Elisabeth as they are the result of a time paradox. As season three’s dialogue (H.G. Tannhaus with Charlotte) mentions, Charlotte was named after the grand child _he_ _lost_ - this is a different Charlotte - It’s not that Katarina didn’t hook up with Ullrich in the origin world, it’s that Ullrich doesn’t exist! He’s the son of Tronte who is the son of Agnes Nielsen who was the daughter of Silja and Bartosz, which was only possible through time travel. So Agnes ceases to exist as well. Others that cease to exist: Martha, Magnus and Mikkel/Michael (children of Ullrich), Tronte (son of Agnes) and Mads (son of Tronte), Hanno/Noah (son of a time traveling Bartosz and Silja), Silja who is the product of a time traveling Hannah, Franziska whomis also a daughter of no longer existing Charlotte The dinner party group is a large part of the key cast that remains in the origin world...
There are elements of mysticism in the show. I think we are supposed to be left wondering if characters like Jonas and Charlotte are going to somehow be reborn (even if it's from different parents).
that killing Hitler theory was always interesting to me, because imagine if you traveled back in time to kill Hitler (or maybe baby Hitler) it could have huge effect on the world today. not only you might not even be born due to people traveling, escaping, dying, behaving because of war etc., but the war boosted the technology, science and medicine in huge way (unfortunately also thanks to nazi scientists and experiments, also most probably given the political and sociological situation at that time the war would probably happen anyway but probably in different maybe more destructive way, maybe leading to the destruction of everyone eventually. Ending point, dont kill Hitler if you happen to travel back in time, because you could fuck up the whole world.
@@x340x It's a paradox, the whole reason you go back in time to kill Hitler in the past is because of the events he causes in his future/your past therefore if you kill Hitler he wouldn't create the events that caused you to go back in time to kill him for.
I think Bartosz doesn't exist (either Regina didn't meet Alexander or she did not get married) so he can't travel back in time. Therefore, It means he will never meet Silja and no Noah or Agnes will exist. No Agnes means no Tronte. No Tronte means no Ulrick No Ulrick means no martha, magnus or Mikkel. No Mikkel means Hannah never met him and found that one eye inspector and got married to him. Katherina is single. Hannah got married. Regina seems to be single. Since Charlotte doesn't exist so no Charlotte or Francizka or Elizabeth in Peter's life.
I mean silja would never even exist in the first place because she's the product of time traveling hannah & egon, and maybe the reason why is regina alone is because she would have never met boris/alexander if ulrich wasn't there to bully her.
@@uchikattana We can't be sure of it. Because of Bartosz to born its important that Alexander becomes a part of Regina's life. I think its left on us to interpret.
@@karmantuli.7454 He probably means what i am also thinking, that a perfect ending would be Jonas & Martha actually causing the accident, thus we would have the perfect triqueta, perfect looping between 3 worlds, beginning is the end and the end is the beginning. This way it doesn't make sense and destroys the established foundations of the show before the end. So my opinion is,we got another "LOST" ending, maybe even worse, haven't decided yet
@@BlackSheepScreaming Thank you, that shits been eating me since 4 days, the perfect ending would be them causing the accident thus completing (& starting) the loop, and if the writers really wanted to break the loop they should have properly introduced that certain out of the loop thread which is gonna break the cycle, instead we got claudia popping out of nowhere in the last minute saying she have cracked the knot of infinity and this is all happening for the first time. Especially considering how claudia been lying through the entire series and how characters trying to change there past instead end up stucking in the loop. P.S. For me the end is when J&M caused the accident.
Was anyone else worried that Jonas and Martha were going to accidentally cause the car to go off the bridge in the original reality? This would have solidified the knot instead of breaking it, which sounds super depressing.
@@pabroj i mean it would have made sense, and it turned out those events had all happened before and there was no ending the loop, but honestly i liked the idea that the families end up happier in the origin word and jonas could potentially have a normal life
@@Venturegram Jonas + Martha -> Unknown Unknown + Agnes -> Tronte Tronte + Yana -> Ulrich Which means, Ulrich's Grandfather is the son of Jonas and Martha. Hope this helps!
Yes this was pretty much the only one I could wrap my head around. I knew his grandfather, tronte, was the son of Agnes.. who was the daughter of bartosh so yes she never existed in the origin world. So no Ulrich.. ugh so mind bending!
My explanation on how Claudia figured out the origin- Claudia is a pure genius! In each loop she killed her alternative world(Eve's world) young self and chose to play both sides to find out a way for Regina to live in both the worlds. She knew to find a way she needs NOT to interfere with the loop and need to everytime meet her destiny which is to get killed by Noah in Adam's world. So that she will keep living through the loops, each time observing more and more details from the both worlds , taking down notes all the while maintaining the order of events in many loops until in one loop she wondered that the reason why Adam fails everytime to destroy the knot is because he has got the origin wrong. After so many loops she was bound to think out of the box. She realised both the worlds are born out of each other and there isn't a single point/event in either of the world that could be recognised as the origin/initial event. Then what gave these both worlds existance must be an event which is a part of neither of these 2 worlds. May be another world!? She rejected dichotomous perspective.Triquetra emphasizes 3 entanglements. She took a chance by going to Scarface Adam and revealing this theory. Few common questions arise after this: 1)Why did Tannhaus not build a machine to bring his son back from dead in Adam and Eve's world? -Tannhaus in both the worlds has moved on from the death of his son BECAUSE he was given Charlotte from the post apolcalyptic world to cope up with his loss. 2)How did Claudia trace the exact origin event and person of interest? -if you remove all the byproducts(people born out of loop) of the loop in both the worlds, Tannhaus is the only one who suffered an actual loss of a child( in both worlds), who wasn't connected to the loop or accidents involving the loop.More importantly Tannhaus has got the resource- He is the only one capable of building an apparatus/machine on his own without external help. (Schrodinger's cat metaphor) Tannhaus has got the Motive- In a way Claudia was the only one who could've understood the loss of Tannhaus and resonated on what he is willing to do to prevent it. Because they both are doing everything they can to bring their children back from dead. All she had to do was to find out when(which year)and how Tannhaus lost his son and follow up the upcoming 33 years cycle event thus tracing the origin. And this is the loop in which she meets scarface Adam for the first time to reveal all this hoping it would be the last loop she had to die into. And as we all now know it indeed turned out to be the last loop.
Agreed to every point you said especially why Tannahaus doesn't try to make time machine in the other two world, just because of introduction of baby in his life so that he can move away from grief.
@@phsyco202 presumably. Alternatively another way to look at it might be that in each loop the circumstances changed ever so slightly during the single moment when time stands still in the apocalypse. Over an infinite number of loops these changes are built up to a point that allows Claudia to realise all the stuff about the original world. I think a good example of this is the feedback loop for the matter in the cave passage. From what I gathered, each loop the amount of radioactive matter in the passage built and built due to half life, therefore this is a circumstance that changes each loop
Pretty sure it was Bartosz in Season 2 Ep 6 that told it to Martha whilst they were in the water with Magnus. “When the water is clear, you can still see her dress down there.” Edit: Then Jonas finds the St Christopher pendant in the sand, that Katharina pulled off her mum when she was killed.
So the theory goes like this: Tanhaus, in the original world, is God and his son and daughter in law are the original Adam and Eve. They leave away from him and die, commiting the original sin, which as we know from the bible leads to death and to exile from the garden of Eden (Eden is the original world) This situation creates two "sinful" worlds in which Adam and Eve exist as sinners, as other people from the original ones. Adam (jonas) and Eve (Martha) have a son (unknown). This son bears a birthmark (or a scar) on his lips. This birthmark/scar is the "mark of Cain". The unknown is Cain. Also Jonas has Jesus like attributes, because he chooses to sacrifice himself, and everyone of the incest loop, so that the "original sin" can be cancelled just like jesus did in the books. Great show. Filled with occult "winks" and the analysis on the occult aspect and meaning of the show can go on forever.
@@a.0.0.8 Hannah wasn't the result of time travel, she exist in origin world like peter and bern doppler those who are the born through time travel or by manipulating time do not exist in real(origin) world Also its the creators who keep their audience in the dark even at the end Even Tannahaus granddaughter name was Charlotte which is not the same Charlotte who exist in Adam and Eva's world its just a coincidence which will keep us in Dark forever
Hey, I have no one to discuss this with. Can you answer my question, please? Isn't this world created at the end of the series a 4th world and the other 3 worlds continue experiencing loops? Isn't that how "time" travel actually works? From what I've understood -not only from this series but from time travel discussions in general- you can't really TIME travel, you just move through parallel universes, NOT through time. So isn't the universe at the end a 4th one, and the rest STILL exist going through the same loop all over again? Am I right? What do you think? Thank you.
TS I think you missed the fact that Ulrich isn't in the last scene because he doesn't exist. He is the son of Tronta and the grandson of Agnes and the unknown which makes Martha and Jonas his great grandparents. Thus, once they ceased to exist so did he.
@Expecto Patronum Yes and Agnes and The Unknown are the parents to Tronte so i think he means that ultimately, Martha and Jonas are his ancestors therefore, because they no longer exist, he doesn't exist either.
I don't know why but the fact that the entire crux of this complex story lies in a father who wants to bring back his family is just so beautiful to me. Normally I would hate endings that rely on a narrative thread that was just introduced however there is just something so beautiful and simple about this in a story that is complex and "Dark"
It's not very beautiful when you think about the fact that he's hoping for a big event to somehow change their dynamic when he neglected his son all his life
Well done. Katharina couldn't be with Ulrich in the Origin World because Ulrich is a descendant of time travelers and part of the knot. Therefore he doesn't exist in the Origin World.
@@Cat-oj5oj Ulrich's grandmother is Agnes. Agnes is the daughter of Bartosz and Silja. Agnes and Silja exist because of the loop and so does Ulrich. Since there is no loop in the origin world, none of them can exist
question - Why Erik oberdorf and mads Neilson were kidnapped and put in that machine, there was no link for that in finale. Also fun fact - the UNKNOWN (son of Martha and Jonas) has cleft palate ( cut above there lips) because it's a neural tube defect and may occur when a child is born with incest relation. Thank me later ;)
I think Erik oberdorf and Mad Neilson were the Lab rats for the Time machine prototype built-in the bunker and either they traveled through the cave or Helge kidnapped them using briefcase time machine. So both them are easy at disposable.
Erik & Yasin were simply collateral of causality they died because that's the way time remembers it going but Mads was because he's death started Ulrich descent down the rabbit whole for truth.
My theory is that, Eric is chosen so that the other teens (Jonas and friends) and kid (Mikkel) would come near cave to pick Eric's stash. It will be easy for Jonas to grab Mikkel into the cave and avoiding creating scene in the public. Yasin is chosen by Noah because Yasin was close to Elizabeth (Noah's wife). So, it was just Noah jealous/to avoid Elizabeth's future relationship with Yasin. There are reasons behind those two kids' kidnapping.
Mads Neilson is kidnapped and killed because it will trigger the events of Ulrich becoming police, investigating the body found in forest, suspecting helge and following into caves... therefore all the further events. So it was just to keep the cycle intact.
I don't think so Martha and Jonas are from different worlds so no its not an incest relation mikkel from Eves world never travels and I think Eve made that scar as the one she made to martha remember ?
It must have been a pretty bad accident. In Jonas timeline he had the eye patch. In Martha's timeline he was missing his left arm. I sometimes wonder if he was the cause of the bridge accident that killed Tannhauser's family.
When Martha said she remembers seeing Jonas as a kid in her closet, my initial thought was "oh shit, this has already happened then" Meaning, they already did the same thing, thought they succeeded, but the time loop goes on
@Gil Barkan There is a doubt, if they (Jonas + Martha) already did the same thing (the closet one) then why Claudia says to Adam that meeting there was their first time? And upon which Adam sends his younger self (Jonas) and young Martha to change the course and save Tannhause's Son and his family.
I thought the same thing. I wanted a dark ending so bad. I was DEAD sure that burned Jonas was secretly old Bartoz trying to find a way to have martha for himself and eliminate every version of Jonas.
Dark is the Mercedez S class of Sci-fi. It is the best time travel show ever. It is German precision at its finest. Even H G Wells will bow down to Odar and Friese.
@Paul I know 12 Monkeys, Travellers, BSG (Not exactly time travel but it had the larger theme of things repeating), Legends of Tomorrow, The Crossing, Dr Who (I've not watched this), Terra Nova, Some episodes of Star Trek, perhaps more
I think Martha will be born later after Jonas. It could happened. Because Jonas is coming and if Jonas comes Martha will come. This will be their second life
Technically Tannhaus' machine didn't malfunction. It just took eternal cycles of repetition to be broken which results in Tannhaus' family actually getting revived from the dead. As this origin Tannhaus will never know what happened in the two split parallel worlds he seemingly just succeeded in his goal
kavitha Cog she said she spent 33 years to find the loophole. Also mentioned, to Jonas that she seen a world without him. Or is that the last pages of the information about Triqueta ?
Putting the last paradox aside (the one that if Tannhaus' son didn't actually crash and die, the time machine wouldn't of been created, yet what saved Tannhaus' son is the creation of his time machine), Jonas and Martha did actually exist in the "original" word. Only for a brief minute or two, they existed. Even in the minds of Tannhaus' son and his wife, they existed.
It's not quite a paradox since their own worlds briefly don't have causality and they diverge away from the knot. In their two worlds, Tannhaus's family still dies and in the Origin version of themselves (jonas and martha), they exist briefly as you said as different entities from the ones from their own two worlds. They are now part of Tannhaus's Origin without a paradox. In their own worlds, every time someone makes a choice during the diversion, it splits them into more worlds, like how Jonas didn't die when Martha killed him because he did actually die in one world but not the other where he diverged.
I think the last scene with Hannah isn't implying their in another loop just simply saying in its own way nothing truly stops existing in some way if it once was brought to reality. A simple wink to the audience which why she smiled into the camera.
Hannah probably just liked the "Jonas" name, she named her child as Jonas in the loop without any time travel impact on the choice of name (so no one said to her younger self the Jonas name which lead her to choose it later or similar) so we can assume that Hannah like that name and it was her first name idea either way.
Bartosz is the one ! No bartosz no noah no noah no Charlotte therefore no her aunt agnes no agnes no tronte no tronte no ulrich no ulrich no mikkel and martha no mikkel no jonas no jonas and martha no unknown my mind hurts now 😭😂

3:11 no she won't. Charlotte was never Charlotte. 11:46 Ulrich never existed in the original world, because his grandmother Agnes (sister of Hanno/Noah) was never born.
For me, what stood out is the fact the HG Tannhaus' invention actually worked; no matter how much suffering it brought, in the end it fulfilled it's purpose of leaving his son and his son's family alive. The entire world we saw was just a tragic side-effect of a successful process created by one "small" man to solve one "small" issue. A tiny point, a singularity in time, created the entire Universe we saw between two worlds, four main families, dozens of philosophical questions and a shit-ton of confusing connections I that turned into lines in a big paper hanging on my room's wall as I tried to follow the plot. Between all of that, it also created a passion for us. Great show!
I think it's like the machine saved him from himself. He couldn't live with the fact that he neglected his son and now losing him is even more devastating. He didn't have to create the machine for his own selfish reasons, but he did without thinking about the consequences. His family could've remained dead without the worlds splitting. In the end, he doesn't change for the better. His own hubris prevented him from making the mistake but he would've made it anyway if his family were to die in another way because he learned nothing.
When Matha and Jonas' world falls apart. The infinite (Son of Martha and Jonas) ceases to be born, so Tronte (Son of the infinite and Agnes) does not exist, and his entire lineage like Ulrich, Magnos and Bartorz and so on. Only those who are not part of the node remain in the world of origin.
The family tree was never supposed to existed and was brilliantly written...Not sure if it was ever planned since day 1 but man...This was a hell 9f a ride

Mehnat barbad Jonas aur Martha ki schrondiger cat theory ki maane toh possible cheez hai, uska motivation kahi na kahi se aa hi jayega ya alternate reality main banayega.
I’ve been thinking about this “creation of two worlds” part (how they split) and I realised something. The only difference in alt-world(Martha’s world) is that Mikkel never travelled through the tunnel so Jonas doesn’t exist. Then I thought about the fact-what started everything in Jonas’ world. And it was this - Mikkel travelling theough the tunnel and consequently people trying to find him, travelling as well … and Jonas sending himself a letter that his father left and the map and telling himself about time travel. And then I remembered what Mikkel said. Jonas BROUGHT him through the tunnel. Which means Jonas is the one who started everything in his world by his free will to do this. (He caused the existence of himself so basically he created himself knowingly). And then followed by Martha also telling herself about time travel (her older self sent Jonas to get her from her world). And she already had that apple travelling machine. She provoked Jonas with the apple to follow her and tricked him into having a baby (see the parallel with the Biblical story) and then tried to keep the baby alive. Causing all this events to happen and the world to be created and keep existing. So older versions of Jonas and Martha were actually responsible for creation of the worlds (I mean as a consequence of Tannhouse opening the portal - he made it possible - so we can look at him as this sort of like God figure) and older versions of Jonas and Martha = Adam and Eve. So Adam and Eve were responsible for the creation of the worlds (by influencing their younger selves and ensuring their own existance) but God made it possible. There’s also the apple and baby and all that. I think Eve’s storyline is particularly interesting because we don’t get to know, how all the time travelling developed in her world and how everyone was created (like Ulrich, Agnes …). And in the end everything is stopped by the younger selves of Adam and Eve. And Claudia plays the role of “knowledge” or “consciousness” impersonalised. We could also say that she gives then the knowledge about their free will in the situation. She gave Adam and Eve knowledge about where their actions would lead them so their young selves would stop it. I just thought about how we can compare her to Jesus (if we are doing a comparison to the Bible). The young versions would stop it and clear the world of “sin”. And she also sacrifices herself in the process but survives. That’s my comparison to the Biblical version. I’m not Christian but I thought that might be interesting. Oh and another little part. As I said before if we compare Tanhaus to God (because he created the tunnel and subsequently enabled the worlds to create themselves) - on the tunnel it says “Let there be light” which is how in the Bible God creates the world.
Even though you're correct, I personally felt that if it were purely a biblical parallel it would be underwhelming. Instead I think we get a much richer philosophical deep dive
What i really like about this series, even though it totally mind bending story they gave us a proper ending. This one is close to perfect story telling 🖤
I think you need to watch the show again. The reason Katarina isn't with Ulrich is because he doesn't exist in the origin world. Since Ulrich was only born during to time travel.
@@GVishnuPrabhaAA Ulrich, is son of Tronte, who is son of Agnes and the kid(Son of Jonas and Martha). Since Jonas and Martha no longer exist, that is the reason the Nielson lineage doesnot exist
To be honest, I had a totally different ending in mind, when I was watching the finale. When Jonas and Alt. Martha travelled to the origin world to prevent Marek’s accident, they should’ve been the ones to cause it in the first place. That would establish the whole ‘paradox’ theory dark has been explaining for the previous 2 seasons, for example: Jonas convincing Michael not to suicide is the actual cause for his suicide, and Claudia killing her father in S02. That would keep the knot never-ending, and a truly messed up ending for the whole series😄
I thought when Jonas and Martha travelled to the original world that they were again being played by Adam and Eve. That is to say, Jonas and Martha would be responsible for the accident of HG Tanenhaus's son and ensuring the parallel worlds were created.
@i am the MVP Yea exactly there was a scene where Jonas couldn't kill himself because his older self exists . Same logic should apply here as well as the parallel world already exists
This is the ending I expected. The Canon ending is so meh. The clock guy appeared out of no where. Cliché deus ex machina type of thing. Such a meh ending
Think Story, I've watched DARK Season 3 twice and I've watched a number of TH-cam videos in which people have tried to explain/summarize/recap this magnificent show. Your explanation is one of the clearest I've seen. So A+ to you for clarity.

@@vansharora5859 It really didn't. 1. How was Claudia able to change anything in the first place. 2. Why does Adam even know that Martha is pregnant? 3. How can Martha and Jonas prevent the accident if they had never existed in the first place?
Immanuel Kant 1. Claudia found the origin of the knot, 2. Adam has been alive for 60+ years trying to understand what is causing the knot, 3. They didnt “never exist” they just dissapeared to avoid a paradox. The other worlds also dissapeared but its kind of like a new reality was created. The new reality in the origin world where time travel was never invented and so it doesnt exist in a knot anymore.
Noah doesn't trust Claudia. Noah killed Claudia. Noah is Claudia's great grandson. Noah is Silja's son. Silja is Jonas's sister. Noah is Jonas's nephew.
Those circles DO NOT represent different worlds. Now to make things clear: Season 1: Time travel Season 2: Time travel and introduction to different worlds. Season 3: Different worlds and different realities. If you listen to the conversation between alt Martha and Eva, you'll find that Eva mentions the outer edge and the inner edge. Two overlapping realities but yet it is the same line. Hence, the two realities, the one in which Jonas dies and the other in which he doesn't, are represented by the inner and outer edge of that thick black line. And, these realities keep going on and on in the loop. She also mentions quantum entanglement (you can google and learn more about it). Due to quantum entanglement, the happening of one reality(Jonas dying) ensures that the other reality works exactly in the opposite way(Jonas being safe and later becoming Adam). So it is the two realities in Jonas' world, one in which he is saved by alt Martha and the other in which he goes down in the basement, which exist in his world only. The basic explanation is: when you go back in time and try to tweak something through the loophole, a different reality is created. So both the two realities keep going on in the loop. If you still find it confusing, read it again, then revisit episode 7's beginning where Tannhaus explains everything and then read it again.
it's still a bummer that we never get to learn what really happened to Woller's eye or arm (in alt world). We never learned also who Boris Neiwald really is. Who Benni and Torben's mother is? What happened to the real Aleksander? How Helge fathered Peter?
Well we can implied that Aleksander never meet Regina because she never got bullied by Katherina who in this reality doesn't know Ulrich do to him never been born. So Aleksander never gets save Regina.

My take on the ending is that Jonas is the one who could understand the logic of third world(origin world) that's the reason Claudia went to him, also he was the one who let go of his past/desire(Martha) so he gets the end credit to him..... That's my take anyone agrees with me????
I agree, Martha kept on repeating the cycle over and over to (i believe) save their son thus creating an endless timeline. Jonas knew how much he was sacrificing even though he did become a villain version of himself as time went on. Claudia was literally above all of them, plus she definitely had some prior knowledge about the god particle (and all that science shit lol) and spent what like 33 years trying to find the loophole
If you would just listen to my opinion I would b pleased because this has been in my mind all time. See, I want to clarify something. Every person in a loop doesn’t have the consciousness to get out of it.It means that Claudia breaking the loop and looking for the origin world, cannot happen.Every time Claudia died in a loop she must have said the same thing( To save Regina) and every time Claudia sends Jonas and Martha to another world. This will have 50% chance of happening depending upon Claudia’s decision( to shoot another Claudia or not), and thus she is creating another reality where Jonas and Martha escaped to third world. May be they were the reason for Tanahaus’s children accident in the first place and their actions led to the formation of two worlds. Hence the cycle continues.
@Rajat Chauragade, I could agree with you but when Claudia met Adam it was the first time so young Jonas n Martha travelled to Origin world only once so no reality was created there, and yes while watching the last episode almost everyone thought that they are the one who caused the accident in which Tanahaus's family would due but it didn't happen thanks to the makers...
Last yrs i was telling everyone to watch such show but all Noobs were interested in watching 13 reasons why. Most of them even started it and left it at 2nd episode even after telling them to stick to 2 episode atleast you will have fun later on. Those losers now pretending to be Hard-core dark fans suddenly 😂
The Charlottes are different. H. G. explains to teenage Charlotte that his granddaughter was never found and that 2 “peculiar” women” brought her to him the same night of the car crash.
@@avidplanes that is the original Charlotte. The founder of Sic Mundus’ wife dies, he believes time travel is the way to bring her back from the dead. His son is blind, that kid grows up to be the old man who lets Jonas use his house to do time travel experiments. When Martha from the Alt world comes to give them cesium so their machine can work Blind Tannhaus goes to send a telegram telling the world time travel exists. The Unknown kills him and takes the watch.
Theres one thing that doesnt make sense. At the very end, when Martha and Jonas are travelling to the origin world, in the tunnel, baby Martha looks inside her closet, and sees Jonas in the tunnel. Once the pair is out of the tunnel, Martha reminds herself she saw Jonas in the tunnel. This suggest that the ending of the two worlds has happened before. There is no escape. This was only the end of one iteration of the loop.
my review (spoilers) dark has been one of my favourite shows since s1 but this season... it really f'cked my head. it was a m a z i n g. i don't even know what to say even tho i finished it literally 20 minutes ago. the beginning of this season wasn't really interesting to me at first bc it was basically just s1 in parallel universe, but then sh't got real. when they revealed the whole family tree, i was shocked. they're all related, but not really but actually yes. and the episode where katharina's own mother killed old her and beated young her at the same day and ulrich being left behind again.. that was hard to watch. but ep7 was best of all. we got to see everyones full backstory and their future. actually seeing jonas become adam? wow. and finally understanding the full story of noah made me tear up. i have to watch s1 and s2 again soon so i can see how it was connected sicne the beginning. my mind is still blowing rn so i have to stop right here. 33/10, loved it
I still think the episode Adam kills Martha in front of Jonas before the apocalypse screwed with my head the most. Season 3 had me up until the last moment. I really thought it would end with the loop continuing.

Great analysis. But just so you know; Tanhaus' real granddaughter who disappeared in the accident is not the same Charlotte we all know who is both Elisabeth's mother and daughter
That is totally fair and true. I should have explained better. Who knows what this Charlotte will grow up to be.
Can you explain this to me? Im very confused about this whole Charlotte situation! How is this not the same Charlotte?
@@Cat-oj5oj its not the same Charlotte, because the Charlotte we know is the daughter of Noah and Elizabeth. You got a number of things wrong due to the fact that you didn’t catch that a number of characters disappear from existence along with Jonas and Martha:
- Charlotte cannot exist nor can Elisabeth as they are the result of a time paradox. As season three’s dialogue (H.G. Tannhaus with Charlotte) mentions, Charlotte was named after the grand child _he_ _lost_ - this is a different Charlotte
- It’s not that Katarina didn’t hook up with Ullrich in the origin world, it’s that Ullrich doesn’t exist! He’s the son of Tronte who is the son of Agnes Nielsen who was the daughter of Silja and Bartosz, which was only possible through time travel. So Agnes ceases to exist as well.
Others that cease to exist: Martha, Magnus and Mikkel/Michael (children of Ullrich), Tronte (son of Agnes) and Mads (son of Tronte), Hanno/Noah (son of a time traveling Bartosz and Silja), Silja who is the product of a time traveling Hannah, Franziska whomis also a daughter of no longer existing Charlotte

Dark: some german teenagers travel back in time, and instead of killing Hitler, they sleep with their relatives...
that killing Hitler theory was always interesting to me, because imagine if you traveled back in time to kill Hitler (or maybe baby Hitler) it could have huge effect on the world today. not only you might not even be born due to people traveling, escaping, dying, behaving because of war etc., but the war boosted the technology, science and medicine in huge way (unfortunately also thanks to nazi scientists and experiments, also most probably given the political and sociological situation at that time the war would probably happen anyway but probably in different maybe more destructive way, maybe leading to the destruction of everyone eventually.
Ending point, dont kill Hitler if you happen to travel back in time, because you could fuck up the whole world.

I think Bartosz doesn't exist (either Regina didn't meet Alexander or she did not get married) so he can't travel back in time.
Therefore,
It means he will never meet Silja and no Noah or Agnes will exist.
No Agnes means no Tronte.
No Tronte means no Ulrick
No Ulrick means no martha, magnus or Mikkel.

@@rafikbenn1776 wait, Unknown is married to Agnes Nielsen? when did that happened? which Season/eps?
My explanation on how Claudia figured out the origin-
Claudia is a pure genius!
Few common questions arise after this:
1)Why did Tannhaus not build a machine to bring his son back from dead in Adam and Eve's world?
-Tannhaus in both the worlds has moved on from the death of his son BECAUSE he was given Charlotte from the post apolcalyptic world to cope up with his loss.
2)How did Claudia trace the exact origin event and person of interest?
-if you remove all the byproducts(people born out of loop) of the loop in both the worlds, Tannhaus is the only one who suffered an actual loss of a child( in both worlds), who wasn't connected to the loop or accidents involving the loop.More importantly
Tannhaus has got the resource-
He is the only one capable of building an apparatus/machine on his own without external help. (Schrodinger's cat metaphor)
Tannhaus has got the Motive-
In a way Claudia was the only one who could've understood the loss of Tannhaus and resonated on what he is willing to do to prevent it.
Agreed to every point you said especially why Tannahaus doesn't try to make time machine in the other two world, just because of introduction of baby in his life so that he can move away from grief.
underrated comment!
I have one more question, every time she decides to die, how does she pass on the information to her younger self? Through the book?
@@phsyco202
Quantam entanglement
Exist more than one reality
In one she died by Noah
In other she exist
@@phsyco202 presumably. Alternatively another way to look at it might be that in each loop the circumstances changed ever so slightly during the single moment when time stands still in the apocalypse. Over an infinite number of loops these changes are built up to a point that allows Claudia to realise all the stuff about the original world. I think a good example of this is the feedback loop for the matter in the cave passage. From what I gathered, each loop the amount of radioactive matter in the passage built and built due to half life, therefore this is a circumstance that changes each loop

So the theory goes like this: Tanhaus, in the original world, is God and his son and daughter in law are the original Adam and Eve. They leave away from him and die, commiting the original sin, which as we know from the bible leads to death and to exile from the garden of Eden (Eden is the original world)
This situation creates two "sinful" worlds in which Adam and Eve exist as sinners, as other people from the original ones.

Thank you.
oh, sorry, that line was supposed to be between parentheses.
TS I think you missed the fact that Ulrich isn't in the last scene because he doesn't exist. He is the son of Tronta and the grandson of Agnes and the unknown which makes Martha and Jonas his great grandparents. Thus, once they ceased to exist so did he.
Right
Was just about to post this
@Expecto Patronum Yes and Agnes and The Unknown are the parents to Tronte so i think he means that ultimately, Martha and Jonas are his ancestors therefore, because they no longer exist, he doesn't exist either.
@Expecto Patronum Ulrich is Jonas's grandfather. Jonas is Ulrich's great grandfather. _Infinite Incest Loop._
@Expecto Patronum wtf !! Bartosh dated his grand daughter lol

Catherine Taylor Ulrich's grandfather i.e tronte's dad is the unknown, son of Martha and Jonas
question -
Why Erik oberdorf and mads Neilson were kidnapped and put in that machine, there was no link for that in finale.
The real mystery in the series is. What happen to Wöhler’s eye 😂😂😂
They tease us so hard at the very end 😂 so mean of them

Wish we could see some scenes from the main world what went down
Anyone else having an existential crisis after finishing this show
Yep
Yep
I’m just wondering if I already died in the parallel universe
Of course, feel free to point out if my explanation makes no sense
There should not be any Ulrich in the origin world. Tronte to Ulrich are all descendants of Jonas-Martha progeny.
The entire Nielsen Family shouldn't exist there as they all come from Bartosz

I think the last scene with Hannah isn't implying their in another loop just simply saying in its own way nothing truly stops existing in some way if it once was brought to reality. A simple wink to the audience which why she smiled into the camera.
Right because its not going to be the same Jonas Mikkel isnt the father so no it's not going to start over again.
Hannah probably just liked the "Jonas" name, she named her child as Jonas in the loop without any time travel impact on the choice of name (so no one said to her younger self the Jonas name which lead her to choose it later or similar) so we can assume that Hannah like that name and it was her first name idea either way.

because it was passed down by HG to adopted Charlotte as it was originally for biological Charlotte. Adopted Charlotte passed it to Elizabeth, who passed it to adopted Charlotte and so on. I think at least. I thought the clock came up in 1888 or 1910 as well@@danielpereyra2290
Great show!
I think it perfectly portrays the butterfly effect too.

Lol.. Tannhaus be like: You know what, let me make a time machine to entertain my son.
Claudia: WTF dude.
yes - the true moral of the story is: dont let a German clock maker get lonely
That's exactly what I was thinking 😂
his son can die later by any method and he still can decide to creat it 😂😂😂
I’ve been thinking about this “creation of two worlds” part (how they split) and I realised something.

Even for a brief moment I thought about the same. But knot can be broken with external influence is introduced and same is intended in the series.
That would be depressing. I loved the bittersweet ending more😊
I thought when Jonas and Martha travelled to the original world that they were again being played by Adam and Eve. That is to say, Jonas and Martha would be responsible for the accident of HG Tanenhaus's son and ensuring the parallel worlds were created.
There's an alternate reality where that's exactly what happened, hahaha
@i am the MVP Yea exactly there was a scene where Jonas couldn't kill himself because his older self exists . Same logic should apply here as well as the parallel world already exists
@i am the MVP Why tranhaus didn't tried to bring his son back in Adam's world? Just bcoz he met young Charlotte ?
This is the ending I expected. The Canon ending is so meh. The clock guy appeared out of no where. Cliché deus ex machina type of thing. Such a meh ending

Those circles DO NOT represent different worlds.
Now to make things clear:
Season 1: Time travel
Season 2: Time travel and introduction to different worlds.
10:26 Did Anyone else felt that jonas and martha will themselves cause the accident😂
it's still a bummer that we never get to learn what really happened to Woller's eye or arm (in alt world).

The Charlottes are different. H. G. explains to teenage Charlotte that his granddaughter was never found and that 2 “peculiar” women” brought her to him the same night of the car crash.
What about The charlotte that was the 1822 guys wife that died and made him want to invent time travel why did he have the pocket watch
@@avidplanes that is the original Charlotte. The founder of Sic Mundus’ wife dies, he believes time travel is the way to bring her back from the dead.
