I have sent a couple of emails in the last two weeks in reply to your weekly emails that I receive but so far I haven’t heard back from you which I assume could be one of two reasons: either my emails aren’t getting through or this isn’t the right channel to contact you. • @Cyborg4Life
      @Cyborg4Life  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wow that's exciting! My best advice is to do 3 things; 1. shoot a video on your phone about why you want to do this so much and have it ready to watch the first week after surgery. 2. take pictures of your current stature for later comparison as the difference will highlight the worth later. And 3. Embrace your current ability to walk around normally - go for your "last walk" as we often take things as simple as walking for granted.
      Then really just imagine how you might maneuver and what the pain could feel like and set up your living environment to accomodate for the big day.
      I wish you the absolute best!

      Oof sorry that everyone is bashing you for wanting this at your current height. It is possible and can be done reasonably safely! But, for 4 inches you are going to have to put down the big bucks to keep it safe. You need to do both Tibias and femurs. Many doctors will allow them to be done a coupe of weeks apart, but this is going to increase risks quite a bit. To maximize safety the tibias should be done after the femurs are fully healed maybe a year later. Also I think the best split is 6cm femurs, 4cm tibias. Definitely do it with a doc with an excellent reputation and experience as 4 inches is a lot!

    1) If the goal is to increase 2 inches, is it better to do 1inch in femur and 1 in tibia? Is it safer than increasing femur 2 inch and not increasing tibia at all. 2) Also, can that be done in one go with small time gap between two? I read in a 2017 research article that tibia to femur ratio should be. 80 and if you change the ratio then arthritis is expected at later life.

    • @Cyborg4Life
      @Cyborg4Life  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If just 2 inches, just do on one limb. Anytime you can reduce the amount of surgery the better. Arthritis is usually developed from constant wear and tear. If poor alignment or lack of flexibility then possibly yes, but I'm more likely to develop arthritic joints from heavy weight training than limb lengthening

  • @team3gaming749
    @team3gaming749 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Cyborg after you gained 2 inches are you still 100% of the athlete you were before? Do your muscles produce the same explosively and endurance they did before or has it lessened? Also how is your cardio? Can you still run for long periods of time or do your legs get tired faster?

    • @Cyborg4Life
      @Cyborg4Life  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No I'm not the same. I'm different. I had to adjust to my new normal after LL. Just like any other LLD or CLL patient would there is an adjustment and adaptation period where you have to get used to the way your body moves and strengthen your muscles and explosiveness throughout that new ROM.
      Could I do a 19ft long jump like I used to in my second year of high-school...possibly if I trained for it. All I know is endurance is simply due to training. My cardio is really good now actually. I jog about 1mile every morning - except this last week due to snow, but I can run for longer periods and I can explode up hills pretty fast.

    • @team3gaming749
      @team3gaming749 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @Cyborg4Life
      @Cyborg4Life  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@team3gaming749 I did get some hypertrophy from lengthening I just had to train smarter and harder to even out the symmetry. I could easily run faster if I wanted to so I could make it less than a 6min mile. I hate distance running so I just jog it in the morning for daily activity

    • @Cyborg4Life
      @Cyborg4Life  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@team3gaming749 I would say every bit more than the conservative amount makes this harder and even then it depends on the person, their muscle slack, work ethic etc. 2.5 inches via tibia would make it harder yes especially for athletes who push the intensity

They say "I still think you're crazy but alright have you done research" At this point, you've put the thought in their head, now you just have to keep reiterating it every few days for weeks possibly months on end they'll get sick of hearing about it and then they'll want you to get it done to just stop talking about it - hope it helps!

      @@averyjudgementalsoldier8303 I never said he can't get it. Obviously he can do as he pleases. I simply stated that he is tall... If you don't mind me asking, what's your desire height from 6ft?

      @@alexibarona5807 I want to be 6’6. My predicted height was 6’7, I was 6ft at 14... Have not grown. I’m 15 almost 16 and might be getting my growth plates checked in the fall. I’ve heard stories of people who stopped growing and a couple years later they had a huge growth spurt. Edit: I was not 6ft at 14. I was shorter, I have grown. I have bad memory. I am 6ft now.
