*These are the settings I used for my JG A5S 3D Printer with Black Esun PLA. These settings are not going to work with every printer, or every PLA. Printers have different length bodin tubes, and PLA’s have different melting points. These may not work exactly for you, but should give you a good base to start with if you have a similar size printer. Good luck!

Wow I love this comment exactly. I am the same way for sure.
@@TroyMcMillan Me too!! Now............3D printing is going to be another one....!
Now find a new wife
@@fuupdaass275 lol you should have seen her face when I bought a 5ft high powered rocket...
@@gregHePilots well yeah it gave her an idea of what to buy for herself lol.don't forget the batteries and have fun
You do realise that you, single handedly, are responsible for me spending lots of money on filaments 😐 However you are also responsible for me having lots of fun, learning lots and, producing some awsome planes 😁
What planes have you made?
And how much money does one plane cost you including motors and stuff
What a beautiful model of the Tucano. Crazy that it is 3D printed !
Very impressive. You make it look so achievable. I have been building planes for many years...so I know how skilled you are. Thanks.
It is so hypnotic and satisfying to see all those parts fit together extremely well. I am a scratch builder myself and I sure appreciate when two distinct parts fit well without having to do extra work to finish the fit. Great work.
Love from India. 👍🙏
Fantástico! Parabéns por este trabalho com o Tucano.
The best tutorial / 3D plane build of all time. Great looking model. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the comment Jason. It takes a lot of hours and camera angles so I am thankful you are impressed with the video. Cheers
amazing to see the full process, awesome dude!
Wow! That's cool, I wish I could have one.
well done, flies really smooth
thankyou so much, im a long time flyer but have never 3D printed before, I really appreciate the help
It's fantastic! You make me wanna try this someday.
Hi, great job! I looked with pleasure!
What a sweet-looking plane.
Cara você e o melhor construtor que eu já vi 👏👏👏👏
Amazing! Thanks for share!
Thank you
AMAZING!
THIS IS AMAZING!
I have been hoping someone would design one soon!
Thank you for sharing!
Thank you Riley, It is a fun plane.
This is so impressive. Your ability to resist ADD is pro level. I would have gotten off track immediately after the print!
Super rad.
Thank you it is motivating to get it out to fly.
Beautiful rc aircraft. Nice Job
That's so cool.
fantastic work and documentation
I just got a 3d printer a few weeks ago and this is a major reason I got it. Thanks for the great information and tips
What kind of printer did you get? I bought my printer just for printing an airplane. 3D printed airplanes are so nice that all I have been using my printer for over the past year has been printing airplane parts or full airplanes. Have fun with your build. Let me know if I can help with anything. This Tucano is awesome I would highly recommend this build. It flies really good.
@@TroyMcMillan I bought an Flsun qqs delta printer. I was warned about deltas and the issues they can have but I was so intrigued by the kinematics I bought one anyways. So far it has been excellent.
@@elyodeel Ya that looks like a nice printer auto bed leveling must be nice. Have fun with your build.
Wow! You make it look so easy. Awesome job!
I have built quite a few 3D printed airplanes. But it is pretty easy to assemble them. Thank you cheers
Excellent well done ..
More than like you deserve ..
Excellent!
Amazing Job ! I looove the Look!!! 👍🏼🇦🇹✌🏼
Excellent job.
Amazing work my friend. I love it. Thanks for postng and big salute from Slovenia, Pilot Robert
This is AMAZING
Thank you
Good job!
Great build video, also very nic3 looking plane!,, Thanks for sharing with us!
This is an amazing build. I think I will dedicate the print hours to get my hands on this model. GREAT Video with clear and accurate instructions,, WELL DONE!!!!!
Thank you, This plane is well worth the print hours.
AWESOME BUILD!
Thank you
This is awesome 👍
Cool build. I used to see this aircraft regularly as it flew out of RAF Linton on Ouse. Decommissioned in 2019.
Wow that is so cool I really like the paint design and I haven't seen any RC versions. To see a real one would be awesome. Thank you for watching. Cheers
Nicely done
Your plane does not fly like a bird but swims like a fish. It's amazing. It does not pitch, does not shake, does not vibrate and remains as stable as a real plane.
Great model build and I also have to compliment the editing at 25:08 with the battery tray.
Thank you, for post video!
Perfect perfect perfect
Well done for the instruction in building the plane and the details for assembly step by step. Well done
Thank you
nice done,congrats
Thanks !
Amazing work, congratulations.
Thank you
Very very very nice!!!!
Awesome👍
Great vid, thx for amazing content and detailed informations 🛩
Thank you
wow...great work sir
Thank you pewe
Very nice and I love the black and white spinner it reminds me of my grandads Scottish aviation Bulldog
Thank you for the comment. I love the spinner also. I did not go with the black and white safety strips on the propeller though. I thought it looked good without. Thank you for watching.
Was one video and plane ... I definitely plane on printing this one .
This plane is definitely one of my favorites also. It flies and looks awesome. Good luck with your build cheers
Belíssimo trabalho!! Parabéns pelo projeto. Grande abraço do Brasil!

nice project
Awesome build bro 🔥👍✌️
Thank you
Very cool!👌
Thank you
very gratifying, to see a replica of the super toucan airplane that I help to manufacture in Brazil being perfectly done .... congratulations
Thank you
@@TroyMcMillan This is a not so super Tucano made in Belfast, Northern Ireland! Did my third Tucano flight in ZF406 almost 20 years ago now - fantastic to see you making a model of it.
Mate, you deserve way more subscribers. You made this look way too easy. Would love to see you take on B2 bomber :D
Nice build. Things have changed a lot. We used balsa and gas engines. That was very costly.
also, i dunno anything about this hobby really, i just have a 3d printer (mines much to small to print this i would need to scale it down into a mini airplane and stick tiny motors and servos in it) but i just want to say this video is super helpful and very detailed and i appreciate the effort that went into it, it's made me want to look into this entire 3d printed rc plane thing more, thanks!
Great build...... great edit!
25:06 - Cool trick! 😆
Thank you
very good project
Very good.
This is it! Im getting a hold of a 3dee printer in a near future!
Those exhaust pipes ould be workin vents for the esc and motor if you made holes imo.
Supernice build! Tight! Thanks!
Thank you
Hey Troy! Another great video! The one thing I want to say when cutting carbon tubes/rods is 1. Tape the tube at the cut and cut through the tape to avoid splintering of the carbon and helps keep the dust down. 2. Use a spray bottle with water in it and wet the carbon where you are going to cut it, this will eliminate any and all dust. I don't want you to get lung damage from the carbon in the air! Have fun!
Thank you for the tip, I will be sure to do that for the next build.
Exactly! For the same reason, It's not a good idea to use carbon tubes or rods in a drill to clean out the wing tubes.
Badazz is all I can say. Just ordered me a 3D printer cant keep paying hundreds of dollars for one plane when I can have a whole airfield lol thanks for the info!!! Dec. 2021 a whole year later!
Great build! Would love to see a spitfire project sometime, maybe one of the photo reconnaissance versions like PL983
Great dude so cool i cant afford to do anything like that but if i could i would.
Very good
Another great build video for another great PlanePrint plane. I may use oleo landing gear just to give it a bit of flex on landing.
Thank you David,
Yes I was worried about the landing gear a bit also. The gear held up good for me. The wing design of the plane flies very good and on landing with no power it actually floats a lot so it is easy to have nice smooth landings. I don't think it needs oleo landing gear but it would be nice looking for sure. Have fun with your build.
Nice, cool project for my son and me
Ya this is an awesome build to work on. Have fun cheers
pretty fuckin cool you share all the details of this stuff-- I'm actually starting to consider printing a plane, where I wasn't interested before.
thank you! it is actually super easy to do, they look awesome and actually fly well too. Go for it!!
Interessant ,werde ich vieleicht nachbauen:-)
Very Very Nice
Thank you
Nice !
Thank you
It ’s very nice. I want that aircraft.
super make
How long have ppl been making RC models like this? What an incredible looking Tucson and it flies very decent.
Good job
Thank you
Que buen proyecto
Paint it with aluminum paint so the plastic doesn't break down from uv radiation, then put a nice coat of finish. Really cool
Hi Troy, you have again managed a great video! Thanks a lot for this ...
Thank you, This plane turned out so amazing. Thank you for an awesome design. This plane flies so good. I will be having fun with this plane for years.
U r amazing
This plane is sooo nice ! I would love to see a Dh98 Mosquito or a P38 lightning
Absolutely amazing to see a home made printed plane. I would have sanded the plane with 600 or 800 grit sand paper to make the plane more aerodynamic and a smoother surface. I have been flying planes since 1995. Things have come a long way!
A smoother surface is not necessarily more aerodynamic. Golf balls have dimples to make them fly farther and straighter. Assistance is trickier than you think, that's why people who work with it have degrees. LMFAO.
@@shelbyseelbach9568 A golf ball and an airplane require two completely different aerodynamics to fly. A golfball is a sphere. The dimples in a golf ball are designed to limit spin after being hit by a golf club. A ping pong ball for instance is also a sphere but there are no dimples because you want spin when you're playing ping pong. All airplanes have smooth surfaces to improve aerodynamics. There are no dimples in an airplane wing for that reason. The smoother the surface the better the airplane flies. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
@@misc5831 aerodynamics are aerodynamics.
@@misc5831 I suggest you look into the finish surface on an F-18 just for an example. This is a known characteristic of aerodynamivs and not simply something I am making up. Having a pilots license does not make you an aeronautical engineer, my friend.
Smoother is not always more aerodynamic. Planes that you fly have smooth skin based on desired performance parameters, cost, and complexity. Educate yourself, sir.
@@shelbyseelbach9568 Educate yourself on drag and what drag is.
Hallo super RC Tucano... du hast bald ein neuen Kunden ......super super
Very COOL Troy! Im a ROOKIE To 3D Printing, but have been somewhat successful in the 2 weeks I have owned my ENDER 3 PRO! You have showed me lotsa cool stuff, Hopefully one day I will try to 3D Print a Plane!! Peace- Capt. Nicky G.
Troy cool 3d airplane
seems like a perfect plane to test out the color fab carbon fiber to me
nice
Perfeito ,menos a hélice que no Tucano tem 5 pas !
this is quite cool tho
awesome build Troy! A few questions though - did you ever have any issues with the control horns being 3d printed and super glued to the aileron? This usually worries me the most - layer adhesion on thin parts. Also, how does it hold up in the summer since it's all black and thin-walled?
Love It and subscribe 🤩
QUE AVIÃO DEMAIS CARA!
Greetings from Brazil
Thank you
I guess Im randomly asking but does anybody know of a way to get back into an instagram account??
I was dumb lost my account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me!

@Dante Valentin I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now.
Takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Dante Valentin it worked and I finally got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thanks so much, you saved my account :D
Boa noite, excelente trabalho! Por favor você poderia me dizer onde consigo a planta desse tucano para imprimir. Realmente é muito bonito.
