Never clicked on a video so fast 😆 Thank you so much for taking the request and being willing to make a reaction for it! That's super cool. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. This, The Innocents (1961), The Woman in Black (1989), and Whistle and I'll Come to You (1968) are my favorite ghost stories of all time. I'm gonna check out your Fallout reactions since I haven't watched it yet. I enjoy the insight and thought you put into your videos.
That ball scene gives me goosebumps every time! I'm 47 now, first saw this when I was 15. STILL scares the hell out of me! And I'm a Goth! One of the best horror films of all time!
Cool reaction. This movie is hella scary the first time seeing it but it becomes a mystery thriller. You feel empathy for this boy and want redemption for him. This is one of Martin Scorsese favorite horror movies.
Great reaction to one of my favourite movies of all time. Looks like you're pretty new so I'm looking forward to seeing you react to more of my favourites. Here's a sub!
The cemetery they visited is on Capitol Hill in Seattle. Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee are both buried right near that very spot. I’ve been to that cemetery many times.
When this came out, I was impressed with the gigantic mansion it takes place in. I remember reading that it was an actual house in Seattle that was slated to be demolished, which suited the needs of the production. The Changeling with Angie has no relation to this flick but is based on a true story of a woman whose child disappears, is found much later and returned to her... but is not her child.
@Losttouchjs : Thanks for the correction. I've been spreading that nugget of cinematic misinformation for decades. Next you're going to tell me the house in _Malignant_ isn't real. (I checked. It is.)
I love this movie. Usually in horror it's women or children being haunted and dismissed. So it's always nice to see stories with men dealing with hauntings. Also, this is a very sad story.
i couldnt believe it when i came across this reaction.. for the most part no one seems to have heard of it. i did see at the theater... i remember specifically because i friend i went with was eating m&ms, and when the glass busted out at the beginning, she screamed and her m&m's didnt make it lol... they were flying thru the air. rewatching a few times i felt the slow parts are very slow, but the scary parts are very scary... i can still my son but whispering Joesph. ok, thats no true, but his dad would wait until bedtime, bang on the wall and say it... so mean ... thx so much for the great reaction, it was nice seeing it thru a new set of eyes so to speak
Thanks for commenting and sharing your experience with the movie! You're right, there were some really slow parts, moments of scenes dragging on too long with no dialogue. If that had been made today, the run time would be significantly reduced.
This was a theatrical release that did okay in the theaters - a minor success in the vein of Magic (1978) or The Uninvited (1944) - low budget atmosphere. The version you are watching might have been spliced for TV viewing. I’ve always enjoyed it, though I think it could have used one more script edit.
The term used for rooms like this were called 'disappointment rooms'. If someone rich had a child or relative that was disabled or had mental disorders or even have a grotesque appearance that could bring shame upon the family's name, they would be locked away in a secret room. Kept out of sight from all eyes and gossip that could harm the good name of a prominent family. Sad and shameful practice.
I believe this is Canadian made film that’s why you aren’t familiar with some of the actors here. However, if you’re looking for something with the same vibe-lesser known haunted house that is very scary, please check out the 1989 TV version of British horror film The Woman in Black. I think you can find it here on TH-cam. Either way, this is a great reaction video, thanks!
This film wasn't made for TV, it had a theatrical release. The cuts you saw are NOT in any version ive ever seen. I dont know where you streamed this from but they put those cuts in as Ive never seen them before and they arentm't on any DVD or bluray release version or when its shown on telly.
I was just thinking of what I have lined up to edit for new videos, and with my regular job, I'm not sure I'll have time to get it on the channel for October. But no worries, It's always October here. Most of what I upload is horror. It'll happen, just hang tight!
Not just that the ball came back, but that it was still wet!
George C. Scott and Trish Van Devere (Claire) were married in real life.
Damn, your nephew's got wicked skill. And great reaction, btw, so glad you liked it!
Hey thanks friend! I'm sure he'll love to hear that. And thanks for watching this one too!

A good scary movie doesn't have to have gore just good film, editing and sound. This is why I like this movie so much.

Wow, I was 10yo when this came out. Pretty good 👍

FYI: The house's exterior and interior were sets built for this movie!
This is such a good movie, with beautifull music. Thanks for watching it ❤

The Other (not The Others) is very scary from 1972. Burnt Offerings from 1976. And The Sentinel from 1977.

It's not the same Name, Angelina's Film is called CHANGELING, This Film is called THE CHANGELING! see the difference! lol.
I also suggested for Halloween season Bram Stocker's Dracula. Directed by Francis Ford Coppla.
@@sumoni aw man, unfortunately I've seen that and have loved that movie since I was a kid. Feel free to drop a list to me!
@@mikewatchesstuff Hmmm...Dracula Dead and Loving It? 😆
Well there you go! Haven't seen or heard of that one. Is this a comedy?
