When Superman defeated Darkseid in Superman The Animated Series Supes tossed Darkseid to the feet of his slaves and said to them "Darkseid is finished, do with him as you will, you're free". But before the slaves took Darkseid away Darkseid had them stop so he could tell Superman the same thing I was quoting a month ago. What's the deal with the Spectre anyway? Isn't he supposed to be some kind of super badass? Any time it seems anyone ever talks about him it's like he's getting the crap kicked out of him. Is he like the Worf of DC? Any time they need to show how tough someone is they just roll out the Spectre so they can beat his ass?
It's pretty much exactly like that yeah. Spectre does get some cool moments though but he definitely has a lot of that going around.
The coolness of the Spectre mainly comes from his role as God's vengeance, he is considerably powerful, but the problem is that there are so many being more powerful than him as well

The Spectre is like Vegeta: he’s incredibly powerful, but the vast majority of the time he will lose to the “important” characters to show how strong they are (Frieza, Cell, Buu, Hit, Jiren, etc.).

D. He is stated to be above skyfathers like Odin or Zeus in power.
E. At first he was skyfather level because he is a part of the eternal race but after he got an amp from mistress death he is well above that

I've been waiting for a proper scaling of Yhwach.
The guy had enough power to erase the entire Bleachverse, which is comprised of over 10 universes/infinite dimensions, with his rietsu alone and then recreate the entire verse in his image after destroying it. And his "All-Mighty" hax makes him nigh-unbeatable even to a stronger foe.

Seriously, why are writers SO fixiated on retconing The Presence being the creator of the DC multiverse?!
First it was Scott Snyder with Perpetua, then it was Geoff Johns with Superman's arrival on Earth and now it's who ever is writing Justice League Dark with Hecate. Just give him a break!

I like that idea, The Presence is always the same power and will forever be the Collective Unconcious embodiment of the idea of God made by Humanity but I'm so glad that there's being more powerful and I love that idea on the Collective Unconcious far better than The Presence just being God because that's just boring to be honest.

Great video. Darkseid by far is my favourite DC character because he's so badass. What has always puzzled me is how power is Highfather if he's an opposite force to that of Darkseid? I know Jack Kirby based Highfather on Marvel's Odin but it always seems that neither DC or TH-camrs covering DC really discuss Highfather and his powers or limits. What are your thoughts on this?

Actually there was one comic issue where I believe it was Hal Jordan Spectre attempted to destroy Darkseid while he was on apocalypse and apocalypse just rebirth Darkseid after how Jordan was done I got to find that, cuz that was a pretty awesome scene that I'm remembering funny thing I always assumed that dark side working the fast-food one was similar to the Thanos comic which came later where Thanos was visiting one guy every day on his birthday just to make his life worse

God is outside the universe, but manifests itself within through aspects as the Voice, the Presence, etc. Finally, Mike Carey's God did not created the universe. In Mike Carey cosmogony, the creator is Michael, while the shaper is Lucifer. Both are God's aspects (Michael is the power and Lucifer is the will), as God stated to Lucifer through a aspect in Lucifer #75.
Concerning your second question, Michael only created the physical universe - the cosmos - but not the meta physical Sphere of the Gods (as well as the meta fictional Sphere of Limbo) which, in my knowledge, has no "origin in Grant Morrison cosmology.

That being said, despite Grant Morrison did not explained the origin of the Sphere of the Gods in the comics, I believe he gived us the explanation in his interview with Newsrama, "Grant Morrison on Final Crisis #1", in which he explained that Gods are the the personnifications of "eternal qualities", i.e love, war, etc. the we interpret as Gods under different shape according to our belief system. For example, love is Aphrodite, Erezulie, Freya. So it could be that the Sphere of the Gods is a creation of mankind where all our interpretations of « eternal qualities » are personified called Gods.

seems like I have a very different interpretation on "True Darkseid" because Batman and Grant Morrisson had stated themselves "Darkseid is a Platonic Archetypal being" and not somewhat a Physical being, as a Student that Studies Plato's Philosophy your interpretation of "True Darkseid" is nowhere near to what Bruce and Grant had stated (both comicbook character and the writter himself) but I blame no one, Grant never clarified that concept of "True Darkseid"
