Fun fact: Bill Paxton was Arnold's first kill in 1984s Terminator. He was the punk rocker with the tire print on his face
The goats on the roof are gone. The moose out front shoulda told ya.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
The best line in this movie is "Battery Aziz"
"Have you ever killed anyone?"
"Yeah, but they were all bad."
Fun Fact: The USMC supplied three Harriers and their pilots for a fee of $100,736 ($2,410 per hour).
Art Imitates Life Fact: At one point in the movie, Gib tells a story about his second wife taking everything when she left him, even the ice cube trays from the freezer. This is a direct reference to Tom Arnold's divorce from Roseanne Barr that was happening at the same time. Barr was reported to have taken his ice cube trays when she left him as well. Arnold told the story to James Cameron on the set and Cameron incorporated it into the film.
That's Hot Fact: The set of bra and matching panties worn by Helen Tasker during the striptease scene were Jamie Lee Curtis's own. Curtis rehearsed the scene extensively with director James Cameron, and it was there that the fall she makes in the middle of the dance was conceived (it didn't happen spontaneously during the actual shooting, as is often claimed). Arnold Schwarzenegger was not told of this beforehand, and this is hinted at when Harry briefly sits up in alarm, realizes that he is breaking character, and then relaxes.
BTW, Tom Arnold hac just got divorced, when they were filming this. And his ex took all the ice trays from the freezer.
The ex he was referencing was Roseanne Barr 😆...
Old Tom Arnold standup bit: “Roseanne used to tease me for having a small p3nus. But even a 747 looks small landing in the grand canyon”.
My mother in law took it further. Not only did she take the ice trays, she took every lightbulb in the house
When Arnie was demanding page 10 of the transcript, he breaks a real window. He was supposed to break the front passenger window which was the fake sugar glass.
I'm sorry you drove 2 hours to Waffle House and didn't get into even one fight. I hope you have better luck next time.
Love this film can’t wait big blow kiss 😘
I always say when Harry rubs the flower on her face, if the danged terrorist had just waited another 10-20 minutes this would have been a very different movie!
This is one of my favorite Arnold movies, mainly because of Jamie Lee 🔥 but I also get a kick out of rewatching movies with you and Kevin. You're tales of frustrated adventures was too much. Hope you are feeling better now.
17:11 Roseanne took everything when she divorced Tom Arnold…the ice tray line is true. She took the ice trays.
Fun fact:The Harrier that Arnold flew is the same one they used in The Avengers when Hulk threw Thor into it.Also they really blew up Key West Hywy bridge, the new Key West Hywy was already built and the old one was planned to be demolished anyway.
This is my favorite Arnold movie of all time. The cast is loaded and they're all amazing in this. Quotable one liners that i still use to this day. I was probably 14 or 15 when i first saw this movie back in the day. Jamie Lee is so smulderingly hot in this movie. Christopher Guest is a very lucky man. Even if you're not and action fan you can still enjoy this movie. My mom loves this movie and shes not big into action either. Im glad you guys enjoyed it and i hope you a lovely day
The scene when Helen was pulled via helicopter from the limo, was considered so iconic that year, that at the Oscars that year, when Jamie Lee was coming on stage to present an award, they did a recreation of that scene and dropped her onto the stage with a prop helicopter. You can do a search here on YT and find a clip of it.
Great movie that deserved a sequel, love your reactions. Please keep it up, you guys are hilarious.
Loved Jamie Lee’s dance for Arnold; one of the top 5 striptease scenes ever. Up there with Kim Basinger (9 1/2 Weeks), and because I’m very much old school…Natalie Wood (Gypsy).
Hard To Believe It's Been 30 Years Since This Movie Came Out, Great Reaction Sweetheart
Jamie Lee actually did that helicopter stunt herself
They planned to make a sequel for this, but then 9/11 happened.. James Cameron said "Te_roris+s are no longer funny."
Jamie Lee Curtis celebrated her 35th birthday while filming this - 6 years after A Fish Called Wanda and 11 years after Trading Places.
"How would you like a nice greasy cheeseburger, served in a dirty ashtray.?!" 😂😂😂
18:40 I have an unreasonable love of the Honda CR-X. It's one of my absolute favorite cars ever. I would buy one TODAY if it halfway ran and I had the money.
We need a sequel, while Armold, Jamie and Eliza are still alive..
Robert Palmer video.
:-)
They tested the Uzi going down the stairs on Mythbusters. It would not have kept firing.
one of my favorite Jamie Lee Curtis movie for no particular reason
Jamie Lee actually did the helicopter stunt with Arnold therw wrist were wired together as she dangled from the helicopter
1:39...that's right don't let it get your goat....unless it's on a roof.....with a Fiddler........"TraDition!!!!"-Ernie Moore Jr.
Fun fact: the scene where Jamie is dancing and she falls was actually not part of the original script. Jamie actually fell as you see Arnold almost jump up in concern but the director liked it so much he told Arnold to not get up.
Ooohhh... when China Town in D.C. was still "China Town." ALWAYS stopped by China Town to eat before or after Caps or Wizards.
47:44
The intresting thing is how they filled it behind the scenes.
To get the shots of the plane hovering they got a model of the plane and hung it from a big crane. They used very clever trickey to hide said crane.
The crane where she is hanging off? That is the crane that is holding the plane up.
30:10 You are thinking of Robert _Palmer_ (Addicted to Love, Simply Irresistible)
@Tara a really well done action flick. Glad you liked it
Eliza Dushku and Tia Carrere were massive crushes for me growing up.
If i ever actually met one of them, i might blush so much that my face would melt.
Same here. Tia Carrere was one major Crushes for me, Mainly due Relic Hunter and this film.
26:00 I first knew him from the HBO series Big Love. I had seen Weird Science in the 80s but didn't know who he was then.
28:58 scene...not worth a bullet,,,concept RRR.-Ernie Moore Jr.
This was James Cameron’s superhero film. Secret identity and saving the world. :-)
You ain't so bad either. But Tia Carrere is the one-
1994. Google Calendar.
Nice. ;-)
Someone asked Cameron in the early 2000s about a sequel and he said 9/11 changed his mind abiut treating terrorism with a light, comedic tone but he had 7 years to make a sequel before that and never did.
Its shame. I always considered that things we fear, we must laugh and ridicule. Especially terrorism. Then fear doesn't rule our lives and decisions, while we could prepare properly counter threats.
30:10 Robert palmer not Robert plant
“Let’s get some!” Is a Marine Corps saying. Basically let’s get started stocking Heaven with fresh souls
Although i's not a sequel, Arnold's recent show FUBAR has a similar feel to it
Robert Palmer, not Robert Plant, but yep, that scene is worth coming back for again and again! 🤣
2$. You are an obscure movie cultist.
Kevin is for real..but I do love me some Better Off Dead!
The tango song is Por Una Cabeza.
One of my favorite Arnold Schwarzenegger James Cameron Movies Ever made! 👊😎✊ And Ofcouse Jamie lee Curtis is Awesomeness!! 👍😎👌🍁🍁 RIP Bill Paxton.
22:19 comment insight.-Ernie Moore Jr.
3:37 comment observant sagitarius vibes.-Ernie Moore Jr.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bill Paxton worked together in an earlier James Cameron film called The Terminator (really brief scene when the Terminator meets some punks at the Observatory)
This is Tom Arnold’s crowning Achievement. His funniest line however was in Austin Powers: You tell that turd who is boss
7:53 scene, not yet a Vampireslayer.-Ernie Moore Jr.
13:25 if only they were going for a motorcycle we couldda had ,, "get to thuh choppuh".-Ernie Moore Jr.
24:15 comment react 24:16.-Ernie Moore Jr.
Wonderful reaction.
They made a series of this called Fubar, it's great!
I was wondering if anyone else had ever seen If Looks Could Kill
I want to know why you drove 2 fucking hours to see goats on a roof. WHY??
I mean… why not!? Gem mining, goats on a roof, roadside ridiculous attractions when all you have time for is a quick day trip to get away for a bit
A great American remake of a French movie called La Totale.
Love you so much everything you have said was me my first time watching. And Dana is Faith from buffy the vampire slayer she great actress and fighter xx
That’s wild… *I* also do all the things because goats.
🤣
20:38 react 20:41.-Ernie Moore Jr.
nice remake. When James Bond was not on the screen, Arnold and Cameron arrived with a spy team.
That pelican is a well-trained operative.
There was a tv show that continued the story but it was cancelled after one season, and the comment about Jamie Lee Curtis being in a Robert Plant video was wrong, it was Robert Palmer with the girls, not Plant
Hey Hey there Tara. Believe it or not, sometimes I completely forget about this movie and the amazing Tia Carrera. Love her death scene in the limo. I love it when someone really stretches their legs and plays such a different character than what we are used to seeing them do. Love ❤❤ your reaction as always. Have a good weekend.
A side note on that Harrier, It was later used in Avengers and is now on display at the Volo Auto Museum in Volo, Illinois.
😊56:54 comment good onnnne.-Ernie Moore Jr.
Bill Paxton was great as the sleaze bag
Being I dont have waffle house up here outside of Chicago and growing up with it in Kentucky I will call the day a win!..now im craving some scattered and covered hasbrowns and a Texas Cheesteak melt!.. nothing like Waffle House at midnight!😂😂
9:18 scene Ben Hur.-Ernie Moore Jr.
Eliza Dushku made A LOT of us girls question our sexuality since the late 90s and onwards lol. Some got "delivert", while some of us stayed swimming in the pond 😄...
🤣🤣🤣 It was Bring It On that did it for me!! LOL
@@ItsTaraAnn It was Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Angel series for me, but Bring It On was happening in the midst of that. Spent my teens rocking leather jackets because of her in BtVS/A:TS though 😆...
Tom Arnold absolutely steals the show in this.
"Do it for your country", is a solid line.
There is a distillery in SC that has goats on the roof n all over the main store where u can feed em and buy liquor n things with their name on it,
I always found it weird that Tia Carrere's is an antique dealer, and the lead bad guy slaps her around for basically doing her job. He really had no reason for it at that point. And I believe she had a gun on her, so I was surprised she didn't shoot him in the you know where. Besides that, they weren't a couple she was a 'business partner' of the terrorist activity variety. Oh wait, they're bad guys... never mind.
Regarding the question of sequels to this movie: There is 13 episodes season CBS series from last year, which afaik has been canceled. Haven't seen it yet, so can't tell if it is any good. And anyone familiar with Firefly knows that a canceled series does not have to mean it was bad.
@8:16 CCD ? Couple Charged Device. Hey, something from film school stuck !
@8:48 Check out the extra killing it. He exits that door very believably.
The actor playing the horse wasn’t realistic. As red dead redemption 2 has taught me, real horses poop every three minutes. And they definitely jump off buildings - all the time.
@32:18 I think everyone knows that already.
She actually was 14.
Born 1980.
Film was 1994.
😶😶😶😶
still way too young!
She was born in December of 1980, and the film was released in July of 1994. She was not yet 14.
edit to add: I got this from imdb. I didn't just know these things.
"Maybe she's sleepy?" lol always gets me
What exactly is your issue with motorcycles? Way too young to be on a motorcycle??? What???
Pretty sure we were talking about her being too young to be with the much older boy on the motorcycle…🙄
Final 10 mins is the most i have seen her freak out
Then you clearly have t watched any of the videos of “horror “ movies we have
11:20 I had to stop the video to get nostalgic on that song. And I realized it’s basically “Sweet Dreams” by The Eurythmics…but a lesser version of it.
Let’s do a mashup!!
@@tarasneverseen “Sweet Dreams Are Sunglasses At Night”
That’s too wordy, but it’s a building block point. We’ll get there.
You know what’s even crazier? It even kinda tries to be “Here Comes the Rain Again”…also by The Eurythmics.
Now I want to see goats on a roof.
SO DO WEEEEEE
Janie losing her balance in the dance scene and Arnold's reaction was unscripted, but it worked so well they left it in.
One of my favorite one-liners (I think you cut it) was Janie saying "I married Rambo" especially funny because Arnold and Sylvester Stallone were "rival" action stars. I also love Janie's shoulder shrug after the Uzi she dropped took out so many terrorists all by accident.
that line made my cut!
31:59 That wasn't in the script Tara. Jamie Lee really did fall by accident there.
It’s awesome and makes me love her even more
You can't go wrong with Waffle House. Whenever we travel, we ditch the free breakfast at the motel and head for the nearest WH. Can't beat it . . .
It’s almost a once a week thing for is
I tried to buy food at the gas station. They wouldn't sell me any because they said it was too old. Twice. A pizza and a sandwich.
Well… boo
33:
For what a silly movie this is, it is amazingly well made. I'm certain Tara will enjoy it. I''m totally in if only for Jamie Lee Curtis, who in spite of being a nepo baby is still one of the nicest people in Hollyweird.
Just a small suggestion mis Tara do miss Jamie Lee's bed dance i bet that get100k likes just trying to promote favorite channels
HAHAHAHA!!! Don't threaten me with a good time!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣When I get back in shape from being stagnant for this past year (due to injuries from a car accident) don't think I won't!!!!
@@ItsTaraAnn Girl, you nasty!
You mean you haven't discovered Tara,s only fans site?
When she lost her grip on the bedpost, that was an accident but the director left it in.
Goats on the roof isn't that a distillery??
no..just a roadside attraction up in the mountains, with a Gem mining place attached..how sad they have left us!
Kevin... I REALLY hope you took advantage of this movie and had an entire evening set up around Jamie Lee Curtis' little number. "Oh... My... God..." They shot a lot of that movie in Chevy Chase not far from my apartment in Bethesda. Holy sh!t I've never seen so many lights. Not for "Dave." I was an extra in "Invasion." Not NEAR as many. Didn't see that much night illumination again until L.A.
I LOVED If Looks Could Kill as well. I was crushing hard on Richard Greico. Haven't watched it in ages. I would like to recommend Adventures of Babysitting and License to Drive if you've never seen them. Hilarious 80's movies with KILLER soundtracks. Cheers from Canada! :)
They are also favorites of mine!
@@ItsTaraAnn That's awesome :). Two more older ones that you may not have seen yet are Big Business (Bette Midler and Lily Tomlin) and The Out of Towners (Steve Martin and Goldie Hawn). Both crazy fun - hilarious movies that I think you'd love. Also have to put a request in for The Secret of My Success with the fabulous Michael J Fox.
WAIT WHAT STATE WERE YOU IN LOOKING FOR THESE GOATS ON THE ROOF??? We had a very famous restaurant up north here that had goats that ate the grass on the roof!!!
georgia
@@tarasneverseen Oh ok, I was like oh hell no, are they from here!!! I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and up north towards Door County there's a famous restaurant called Howard Johnson's (not the chain) that has goats on the roof and they are like an actual real pancake style house, the real white Northern European kind that IHOP took their whole schtick from!!! So yeah! 👍😊😎
Honestly, "This is a 'Bright Boy" alert," is right up there with "Get to dah choppah." Unfortunately, the consonant vowel combinations don't exist to use it for a T-Shirt.
Rubber baby buggie bumpers!
@@naraboy99 With quotes and just Arnolds face. The face from, "Yeah, but they were all bad."
0:03 Hi back.-Ernie Moore Jr.
Goats on a roof aren't anything special. You give them access they will climb as high as they can, and you'd be surprised at what can give them access to a roof. ~someone who has had the headache of "now how do I get my goats down off my roof"
I’m familiar with how farm life works. I grew up on one. I just wanted to see it
30:13 Robert Palmer, not Robert Plant. 😉
Robert Palmer: “Addicted to Live”
Robert Palmer video. Robert Plant was the lead singer of Led Zeppelin
