Let me get this straight. Tatum, a player who isn't known for saying anything controversial...or really anything at all has graduated to "a colossal pain to deal with" for saying he felt humbled? Doug Gottlieb throws out these clickbait, hyperbolic statements because he is mediocre in everything he touches and he needs to take it out on whoever is in the news. He wasn't anything special as a basketball player, he can't breakthrough into the upper echelon with his broadcasting/radio career, and now he's about to go fail as a head coach. The real irony is that Doug has been described by so many of his peers as the real "pain to deal with".

What's wrong by saying humbling? Kerr lost 2023 World Cup due to rebounds and defense. Kerr insisted on playing a small ball line up. U.S team had enough offense even when 1 or 2 stars struggled such as Curry in all 3 games and Embiid against SSD. From the first 3 games, U.S had problems in defense rebound, guess who is the best rebounding player in the U.S thus far? Jason Tatum. Jason is also the best U.S. defender for switching 1 to 5 positions. Defense and Rebounds will decide if the U.S can take home the Gold, and they should as it has stars and the easy path to the Gold.

Im having this feeling that its ultimatley the size of the basketball and a few of the rules and styles of the olympics play that hurts guys like steph and tatum being first time players in the olympics.. what other excuse is there for steph going 3-13 from 3 and tatum not getting any minutes.. also i know its not a huge deal in the olympics but stats are still a very real thing with the media.. so, putting tatum in for garbage time would ultimately bring his career olympic per game numbers way down. Especially when he would probably be a starter and star in the next two Olympic games in 28' and 32'
