Closet feature is NOT overhyped! I live out of my suitcase, and being able to access items without having to root around and rearrange my suitcase all the time has been fantastic.
I think he means that the closet you can literally buy separate from anyone else and put it in your suitcase and it will fill the same function. But your right, it’s a very useful feature that had me even look at the ads for this
The closet feature 100% drew me in since this suitcase was actually built *for* it (or vice versa), but at the price, i decided to look into it more and I'm glad I did. Seeing "lifetime warranty" on the website definitely made me more okay with the price. Finding out about it was clearly designed very thoughtfully and with a built-to-last construction, I'm completely sold. It just keeps getting better with the eco-friendly aspects. I can't wait to get one. :) Thanks for the vid.
Thank you for focusing on other features besides the hanging closet. I am an over packer so that closet system is a plus but like you said packing cubes or even a store bought hanging closet can also be used.
Glad you pointed out the battery pack not needing a button to push as I had just ordered one from Amazon that you had to push the button .l had to cancel the order and will do a little more research on the battery pack I want. Thanks for that.
What a cool bag! We have a new class b rv and want to take it with us on trips where we might be staying part of the trip at someone's home or a night or two in a hotel as well as the van. We could put the the hanging bag in the closet of our van and quickly take it out and into the suitcase to carry to a different sleeping spot. Thanks for reviewing it for us!
I actually like the look and the superior durability and lack of zipper features. And although the closet feature drew me in to this bag, after watching several videos, I realized I don't care for the closet component. The component itself takes ip precious space. I can just use compression cubes for organization and space efficiency.
I would have liked to have seen the bag opened and demonstrated. I agree that the case is well made, but I have trouble closing the case easily without a good bit of force. Is this a common complaint? Am I crushing and/or damaging the closet component?
I know im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the account password. I would appreciate any help you can give me
@Theodore Jayden Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and im trying it out now. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
An advantage of zippered bags is that they’re easier to compress as you bring the zipper around. With this, it all has be be compressed at one rime to get the latches to click. I weigh 240, and it wasn’t easy. I suggest you do a collaboration with the Hydraulic Press Channel to demonstrate how this can more easily be accomplished.
Curious as to if you've done the comparison with the smaller carry on closet (medium on the website) - that one is said to be able to be compatible with all international flights.
why not get a suitcase without a hanging closet, and go get a hanging closet from a store and load it in yourself. or pack normally, take the hanging closet not filled, and spend 5 minutes when you arrive organizing your stuff?
@@BrianFischer are you saying that Chester is out of business? I’ve tried emailing them to no avail. I looked into the Solgaard but, they’re now at the same price point as Away/Mono and no lifetime warranty to reflect that price. Also, they’ve updated some features to the detriment of the product. After doing a ton of research I’ve come to the conclusion that Amazon sells A LOT of knock offs and so, I can’t rely on getting an original product from them. I am looking into the July brand. Anyhoo, back to the drawing board. Thank you for your time.
Thank you for your honesty regarding the closet. I think it would be a good feature for some but a could live without teacher for others. To each their own thank you for the awesome review. You have a new follower here
I love this bag BECAUSE of the closet. When we travel in Europe, its usually a few days in this city, then a few in another, on and on. I hate unpacking my suitcase into the furniture in the hotel for a few days, but I also hate it when I have messed up the packing by pulling things out and trying to get them back in. And sometimes, there are none of the suitcase stands to fold my bag out so I can live out of it for a few days, or there is only one, so when travelling with my husband one of us does without. Sometimes we stay in hotels with really tiny rooms, that weirdly have no closets, maybe just an armoire. So the pull out closet thing makes life much easier for us.
I had rivets pop off of mine on the first car trip made with these. They would not sell me replacement rivets to repair their manufacturing errors. Now I feel silly for trusting them. 😒
Aug 2021. Bought the bag and they lost the comfort grip handle. Also the closet is no long 6 shelves and there is no four sided hard top shelf for toilet. Super disappointed.
Can you explain further why you would recommend the regular carry on for international flight vs. the "plus" size for domestic? Other than that - thanks for the review! Still deciding between this and the Away.
US flights usually allow for bigger carry-on sizes than flights you might encounter in other parts of the world, so the regular size is usable on a wider range of flights.
If you are a frequent flyer in Europe and on a budget then you need the 20" ( smaller one ) but if you intend to use it mainly in the US then you can get the 22".
The difference in size is negligible when you look at them side by side. You'll be fine with the bigger one unless you're using an airline that actually makes you measure

You must have overpacked. It is easy for me to close. 🤷🏾♂️
@@DubZer020 The problem is that you can't over pack. even a little. Zippered bags give you some leeway.
Been looking to upgrade my carry on. Thanks for this review! Looking forward to following your YT journey; keep up the videos!
How are the wheels?
Can you do a solgaard vs monos comparison next?
Curious as to if you've done the comparison with the smaller carry on closet (medium on the website) - that one is said to be able to be compatible with all international flights.
This one shown is the 20 inch. It's the medium size on the video which is the size I ordered.
I can't figure out how to open the suitcase. I can't find the reset button/slide anywhere on this suitcase
why not get a suitcase without a hanging closet, and go get a hanging closet from a store and load it in yourself. or pack normally, take the hanging closet not filled, and spend 5 minutes when you arrive organizing your stuff?
Brian, which carry on (of all available on the market) do YOU use? Please, do tell.
Lately - I have been using my Chester, but those are no longer available. My back up is the Solgaard.

Amazing review! Thank you
can you do a review on the monos suitcase?
How do you open it if you forgot your combo and don’t have the damn key? 😐😑
You don’t forget your combo that’s how
Solagaard says on their website that you can’t. Set the combo and put it in your phone. For some folks, this is a dealbreaker
@nawab256 allways use your last 4 digits of your phone number. Allways.
Anybody buy the open box suitcases? Any issues?
Great review
Can you please go over how to change the combination Step by step??? Thanx in advance 🙏🏾
Open it!!!! How is it a review if you don't open it

😒
Well done, great information. Thank you.
Great review I'm big on build construction !!
You could do their back packs reviews?
God review, but I'd carry a battery pack in a sling bag anyway.
No test or discussion of the wheels? Kinda crucial on all luggage, and a major weak-point of so many.

i own luggage. i can pack for two weeks without the closet.
I disagree. I love the closet idea. No more clothes all over the place when traveling.

US flights usually allow for bigger carry-on sizes than flights you might encounter in other parts of the world, so the regular size is usable on a wider range of flights.
They say 95% of airlines accept the "plus" size. My guess is the budget low cost airlines would be the ones that would limit the carry-on size
If you are a frequent flyer in Europe and on a budget then you need the 20" ( smaller one ) but if you intend to use it mainly in the US then you can get the 22".
@@johanneshygrell6574 That's because their country is gripped by high obesity rates

This guy is just a hater. Can’t trust his reviews. I use it and I love it.
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder
Review didn’t show anything that remotely look like a closet.
I agree the closet feature is overhyped and too gimmicky.
8 lbs for the bag itself lol.. No ty.. When most carry on limits are 17lbs
