As a fan of CYB I think its worth mentioning that your playstyle must change in game to beat it. Pitch into your weapon as much as possible and value your on-hit effects more.
Gravekeeping is definitely the best for me. Poison the well is easy to play around if they have a Sigil or another CYB around and isn't very proactive.
I did run Invert existence in Vynnset to play against CYB and to choke some decompose turns in response, but CYB is just one of those cards where you need it at the right time to leverage the right value, if you flunk a turn they just win the numbers game in terms of value, it caught a few people by surprise, but it does not present enough value. I don't think it's "Broken", I just feel like it's very unhealthy for the game as your deck has a "fixed value" for damage presentation, unless you run allies or illusionist stuff, it doesn't really add anything to the game, it did prop up a few under-performing heros such as teklo etc, but other heros just abuse it better. I'm almost inclined to put it in the same category as Drone of brutality in terms of play style in Enigma, just put the game to a state where they can't kill you any more and then just present accumulative uncapped value via the chi pitching to make shields.
Disagree with this one. CYB isn't really a meta breaker if you ask me. It's biggest problem is it lengthens games to time which is really bad for the swiss rounds. That's the best case to ban it, but in terms of power it's not really broken.
@@MRGilD0 I agree that what it does to the game is overall not healthy. It just doesn't seem like they would ban it based off of LSS's past decisions. I could be surprised on Monday though!
I think saying it’s easy to beat if you know it’s coming is a bad take tbh. Rob Catton knew it was coming in top 8 and still couldn’t get there, and I would argue he’s one of the best players in the world. I do agree with you that BO1 makes CYB way harder to prep for.
@ by easy to beat, I mean if u pack all the poison the wells and grave keeping’s and other graveyard management, knowing you’ll play it.. you’re fine. But not everyone has the room to side those into every deck. And if u play them and your opponent isn’t on cyb, they’re terrible value cards you brought for no reason. So while Rob may be one of the better players, he didn’t have any exclusive CYB targeting cards in his list.

Yeah, using your weapon a bunch is definitely key to not getting fatigued by CYB.
Cries in flail of agony :(
Jokes aside, I do use Talisman of cremation, which I think Vynn is probably the only hero who can actually abuse it XD
@@AzurielMist Vynnset and Zen can definitely get the value they need from Talisman!

Oasis Respite is also a good way to play around PTW.
Doesn't all cards have some kind of workaround/counter though?
@@alanboody7004 I'm not sure what you are asking, buddy.
Double strike also triggers talsimin
Double Strike is a good one!
10/10
Thanks, buddy!
Rob Catton mentioned Remembrance in the Pheano deck tech vid. Doesn't directly counter CYB but seems like a decent include
I could see Remembrance being a great add. One more combo from Rob would have more than likely won him his T8 match.

I agree, the issue the card causes isn't the power level but how it warps a BO1 format and forces people to play a guessing game when sideboarding.
Vynnset can play invert existence AND poison the well
I can beat CyB Enigma with an adult Terra....
You have my attention 👀
Ban cyb. Problem solved.
It probably won’t get banned on Monday.

I say just ban red CYB. That way the playstyle stays, and it doesn't feel so bad to play against
This is an idea I can get behind. Would make the matches so much more interesting.
It’s easy to beat CYB if you know it’s coming. That’s the entire problem though. You can’t ever be sure until it’s played.

@@jordanlego That's fair, I appreciate you explaining more, makes more sense 🙂
