Rav Dror, you have not shaken your Christ following student yet! I am tenacious in my quest for truth. A lot to unpack here... wont try on a comment! Thankyou for considering us Christ folk. Feeling your gripes with the bible (my bible?) Bigtime. I am a greedy student: my prayer is that you find time to read us your wonderful library, give your thoughts on it, teach us hebrew, and continue to school us on Hashem! Blessings on you and yours, and your wonderful work. 💖💖 sinccerely, the perpetual student, rose purdy

Is it weird as a Christian to say you are my favorite Rabbi? I am feeling more and more I am a child of G*d and not worshipping any human. I can revear, adore, respect, follow without deifying a human. That part always contrasted with the Bible for me, and I was silenced as a child when I asked about it.

Hebrew is critical, and something that is easy for me to agree upon. I do not think that you should call this a problem, but rather a hindrance or a disconnect. In some ways, the translations have brought some beautiful things. One of these things brought about by the translation is Strong's Concordance. This is almost a thesaurus of translations which has helped me to understand the genetic origin of the rib of Adam. Tsela is used 41 times in the Bible, but is only translated to rib twice. This suggests that it has some additional meanings. My suggestion is that it compares sexual chromosome differences between a man and a woman, XY vs XX is simply one rib difference, one beam, one leaf, one side, one compartment. When looking at the translations for tsela, it is translated as side 19 times and compartment 11 times. Both of these would be much more difficult to rationalize in the Genesis story. Which side did Adam give Eve? The good side, oh no likely the Bad side, the front side or maybe the back side etc etc. With a perspective of genetics one of the definitions is beautiful, and that definition is the conglomeration of the top two translations comprising 30 out of 41 uses. Side-chambers or cells (of temple structure). To me, this points to a genetic origin to the Book of Genesis. The idea that the Bible is discussing high level medical terminology then also suggests that it is talking to a generation which has the ability to discern it. So just as great things come from darkness, the perceived detriment of multiple translations actually forces us to take unique perspectives with our interpretation of the Torah. Whether we each agree with the other's translations is less important than noticing that we are having similar conversations in similar mindsets during this time.

Misled is the word, which is one of those odd changes with the past tense. As for the incorrect nature of many of the translations, I can attest to this. It is a common practice for a studied Christian to dig into the Hebrew root of a particular word to help with personal interpretation. The problem (there that word goes again, but it's not so much a problem as it's something that gives a different perspective). One perspective difference comes from many Christians not understanding context. When it is discussed the feast that nobody knows the day nor the hour, or that comes like a thief in the night, many do not attribute this to Rosh Hashanah. The line about having enough oil in the lamps, or the Last Trump do not get linked to wedding ceremonies. So while we come in with a different perspective, even learning Hebrew is not a complete solution. The solution is community and education. I have been asking many Rabbis of any teachers of Breslov in the New England States, and there are none known. The only solution is closer to New York City, and communities are not at a very receptive point.

You are right about the importance of expressing your feelings. With that in the forefront of my mind, I am opening myself more in regards to your opinion. In the end, only true belief would be as immovable as Emuna. It is amazing to consider that this conversation is being had, due to the increasing number of prophetic times. This suggests that regardless of each of our separate opinions, that the truth of many answers is coming upon the horizon. If Hashem wills it, it seems that our generation is gaining increasing discernment.

Rav Dror, we have all been mislead to some degree or another, and while I agree that Christians should study a Hebrew Tanakh and study it from an accepted Jewish Translation, there is mention of one who makes himself an "Asham" for our Guilt in Isaiah 53: 10, and it is Yehoshua Cohen HaGadol and His Associates that is the Symbol of G-d's Branch to come in Zechariah. Yes, Jesus is mentioned no where, but there is Yehoshua of the Torah that is a Messiah figure, as well as Yehoshua Cohen HaGadol in Zechariah. In the Shemona Esray it is HaShem's Yeshuah (verb form I admit) that we pray for, so the name of Meshiach is in the Prophetic writings.
When I surrendered to the G-d of our Forefathers, He answered that very night, and His Ruach testified to His Word, and to an Anointed that made himself an Asham for my sin just like Isaiah 53 says--we all must be honest with ourselves, and this can seem insurmountable when it means being rejected by all that is familiar and comfortable. If you will look at what Yeshua actually taught, you will see that it was an elevated Torah based on Love for HaShem and our fellow man. The Brit Chadesha has been twisted and translated with that same bias as was done to the Christian Old Testament \ Tanakh, but I know that the original message is still there if it is carefully studied, and there are many early sources to verify the additions and changes that were made after Rome hijacked the Netzrim Sect. I don't even need the Brit Chadesha as the Gospel can be found completely in the Tanakh!
    Shalom V'Shuva Nifla.

All that you have stated just demonstrates that you have very little knowledge of Christianity. Rabbi, maybe you should do more research on Christian theologians, and just like you said you wouldn’t listen to your wife is parallel to you’re denial to listen to, and learn the depth of Christianity! Yeshua is the Messiah! I just pray you discover his kingship before His return. If you love the Torah; You would accept and comprehend that Yeshua is not some dangerous fantasy for Christians. Jesus even Said, “there is no one good but the Father (Elohim). I have plenty of resources for you to further your studies regarding the Christian faith if you need! Love you Rabbi.

    That's your opinion. Truth is:
The great connection between man and God:
God created man after His own image and likeness and gave them complete authority...
What does that look like? Being as Jesus! For Jesus is the exact image of the invisible God... the image we were created after....(Gen 1:26 vs Col 1:15).
So we are meant to walk in the same divine / supernatural power and love as Jesus!
You may want to read that again.
Unfortunately mankind fell. That is what we experience in ourselves and all around us. A world / life without God. What predicament!
Through this fall, the image and likeness of God in man got lost. That causes all confusion, greed, selfishness, strange philosophies, manipulation, chaos, death, afflictions, weaknesses, despair, disasters, etc. Man became alienated and hostile to God.
God is not at all threatened by that. He loves his creation so much that he laid down his glory to manifest himself in Jesus so man could finally see and understand God.
He only loves, heals everybody, raises the dead, casts out fallen spirits, controls nature, got beaten beyond description, died on a cross to pay off mankinds debt for the fall. The perfect sacrifice. To make it possible for Gods spirit to indwell man and for man to be changed into the image and likeness of God again. For free, because of love. Amazing! Rom 8:29, Ef 4:23-24, 2 Cor 3:18, Col 3:10, etc.
So we are not made for the fall of man, living in chaos, for ourselfs, in despair, depressed, suffering, etc. But to live like Jesus and for the people around us. Full of confidence, love, power, the divine life we see in Jesus. By Gods power and knowing Christ i have experienced teh healing of thousands of people an casted out countless demons. So good.
That is what He came to establish in each and every one of us.
How? By Jesus dying on a cross so we could be transferred into His kingdom / receiving His holy spirit / his divine nature. Holy spirit redeems us from the fall of man. He makes us whole again, makes us like Jesus, our original created value.
That is the love and truth of God. God has come full circle! Rarely understood, due to traditions, hardend hearts, etc.

Rav thank you for sharing your honest thoughts. I agree that the Hebrew version is much richer than any translation but I don't think that a translation discredits the New Testament. I read some Hebrew as I have studied it for several years and its a richer message but doesn't change the big picture. You are interpreting the same way that many Hebrews have interpreted most of the Tanak for thousands of years. Not new, but perhaps with richer meaning now. But The New Testament is a fulfillment and not an interpretation. Actually the people who wrote it spoke mostly Hebrew or Aramaic , and one of them, Paul was a student of the great Gamaliel. These were not ignorant people. If you want to be fair and honest with us who are Christian, please dont over simplify our beliefs. I would say I would not disagree with most of what you said but that does not describe the whole of the belief of Christianity which you are describing in this video. I appreciate the love offered though.

Good afternoon Rav. It's obvious that theological arguments are hard to discuss which is not all ways a bad thing since "light is born from any healthy discussion". But to categorically say that all the christians bibles (other than the pastoral, or simplified ones, slightly modified to turn the meaning more easy to understand) are wrongly translated, it is usually a lie, misinformation or lack of information - I'll assume you are not fully informed of course, since you are a good and sincere man (I am being honest). The New Testament was translated from the 2000 years aramaic, greek and hebrew's manuscripts which were - like the jewish ones - carbon dated, for example, and are on display at museums also (not only in the Vatican as you know). ALL these original texts - OT and NT - are available to everyone (including the ancient Torah and prophets) but the translations were all made by great scholars specialized in ancient and biblical hebrew, greek and aramaic. You can find these translations also everywhere. Isaiah 53 (a very controversial chapter), for example, despite being a challenge (like some other manuscripts), is correctly translated in any study bible and that is a fact - there are excelent articles, and even scholar books specifically about that chapter (as for the book of Job and others), which explain not only the grammar, the verbs, but the necessary historical surroundings and even possible variations on the meaning of some words - this does not prove, however, that Jesus was the messiah (a theological problem) but shows that it could and it was considered by some as so. I believe that you are also forgetting that at the time of Jesus, when some of those manuscripts were written, the quotations from the Torah that related him to being the messiah, etc. were from the original hebrew of that time, not from badly translated ones: the Old testament was not exactly sold everywhere and given to everyone... Gutenberg only invented the "affordable printing" many centuries after. This way, it would be hard to say that Jesus was the messiah of Isaiah 53 if the translation was complety wrong and referring, for instance, to the Israel nation. Even the Talmud associates, in one of the written opinions, this chapter to the messiah. So yes, jews and christians can disagree on wether Jesus was the messiah or not, and other major theological issues. But not on the translations validity if we take into account the serious ones, not flagged as pastoral, simplified, etc. There are excelent annoted translations of both the OT as the NT that anyone can purchase to understand that and go further on his/her knowledge. I just wanted that this point would be very clear to all once and for all. There's no hidden agenda by the christians or by the jews regarding the true word of God - at least I like to believe so. Everyone is trying to honour His word, commandements and teachings. Sorry for the long commentary. Kind regards.

My friend Dror, we agree that we are all children of God. Your disbelief in Jesus the Jewish Messiah is common Practice among the Orthodox Jews. I Give You A Hint If You Catch It Good Then You Will Realise That Jesus Has To Be The Messiah. Where Does It Say About A 3rd Temple In The Prophecies Nowhere. Now According To The Prophecy Of Isaiah 9 ,That This Child Born Is The Almighty God And That This Child Is One With The Father, And That This Child Born Will Be A Great Counseilor And That His Righteous Kingdom Will Be Forever And His Peace Will Have No End. All This Will Take Place In Naftali City Of The Gentiles. Thats Why Jesus Has To Be The Messiah. Emmanuel Is God In The Flesh And It Has To Be Jesus , Christian Belief Has To Be The True Belief. Again According To Prophecy Ezekiel 37 15-28 That King David Reincarnates And Will Establish His Eternal Kingdom In Holy Jerusalem. This 2 Prophecies Speak Of Jesus And King David Both Returning At The End Of Time And Both Establishing Their Eternal Kingdoms Together . 2 Eternal Kingdoms One And The Same Monarchy

Because a man advised his people that they were the chosen ones, they felt special, and this specialness distances them for the rest of the world. The orthodox jews love no one who is not like them, as every villager does with their own people. As a radar and sensor in this world, I have met FEW people, villages, groups, organizations, who love others as they love and take pride in their own selves. Religions is made by man for man, and not for women, are as dense as men are. When man makes a religion, and makes everything systemic, rigid, repetitive, he loses God entirely, as God is none of those things. Man has tried over and over again, and will never achieve the spirituality that God is, no matter how he tries, as he is born in the body of an ape, trapped in the perception of the dense ape, always only trying to teach in the most limited way, always perceiving all of life through the lens of an ape and refusing to understand this. Only Jesus, was not dense as the common ape. Only Jesus leads to God. The nature of God, would never tell men to sacrifice animals, to offer God blood. Know the nature of God, and what he would never say. The old testament does not belong in the Bible. Jesus did not write the Bible. The old testament worships stories about men, adulterers mainly. Jesus is not God in flesh, he simply did not have the ape perception that men have, with the lack of ape perception, only his teachings, keep men from hell. The typical man teaches an eye for an eye and punishes, the man who lacks this ape thought, as it is an ape thought, teaches men how to behave divinely. No other man can teach this. Jesus and his mother walk the earth, protecting, watching... no other prophet walks the earth and is as near. Do not follow prophets who summoned spirits in caves. Angels do not dwell in dark caves. These prophets, from caves, are under the control of a creator, who desires to be worshipped, who has your soul once you bow down. There are creators, and there is God. They are not the same. The creators will have you worship them, and have your soul, Jesus tried to tell them that. Do not bow to creators. They will own your soul. They will tell you to punish others. They will tell you that you are special and chosen. They know how BADLY you want to be special. They know you, because they made you. Man is a bad experiment, between two creatures, which God pities. That is the fall. Adam, should NOT exist as he comes into the world half ape, a vicious animal to serve the creators. God wants you to be FREE from these creators who messed you up in the first place. Jesus tells you how. The ape mentality has thousands of levels, from super aggressive and uncivil to highly spiritual and free, unable to think like an Ape. This is what Jesus was. The reason he can forgive, is because he knows what men ARE, he has the same pity upon mankind that God has. He asks for compassion, from you for one another, because he knows what you are... ape DNA.

Bro. Rav, I know it's hard to believe, but there is evidence that Christ actually descended & reached out to the Jews, but they didn't understand because they took their Bible too literally. Do you seriously believe that GOD has abandoned you for thousands of years? When you are waiting for the 1st coming of the Messiah, we are waiting for His 2nd coming. Many Christians got it wrong. GOD and the Messiah are two separate beings. 2 Thess 2: 16

  • @Miriam-7128
    @Miriam-7128 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Well that’s where you’re misled brother you think it is “God in flesh!” This is not correct. It is The Word of Elohim took human form. Now to confine The creator to the limitation of a man? Well He is not confined! You cannot give your voice a human form. -But He can! He Himself did not come in flesh, because the world would not & could not contain His splendor His Chavodt! All humans would have all died if He Himself came here in the flesh. It is His Voice His Word which came here!!! And were not the prophets able to hear The Word of The Creator, hence be able to prophecy?!
So His Word came and dwelled among us. The Torah came and to tough the very Jewish people. Now I’ve read what the Talmud says of Yahshua and I say to you the same you say to us..... from a young age you were indoctranaited to believe the lies written in Talmud about Yahshua. Also you said the saages were ALMOST like prophets... ALMOST!!!! Lol nevertheless not prophets it is written, ““Trust in Hashem with all thine lev, and lean not unto thine own binah (understanding). In all thy drakhim acknowledge Him, and He shall make yosher thy orkhot (paths).”
    ‭‭Mishle‬ ‭3:5-6‬ ‭OJB‬‬
So trusting sages (a man leaning unto their own understanding) is trusting mans understanding therefore not even allowing The Creator to teach you as He Wilts. as saages have now placed their own understanding and possibly corrupted/misinterpreted/misled those reading their own analysis of Torah. I say this with love, that you do not understand what we know to Yahshua, for you just explained to us you understand a misled knowledge of Yahshua. Yahshua is The Word of Elohim, the world would not have been able to withstand The Splendor of The Creator had He came. But Torah tells us His Word was constantly here on earth speaking to His people.
Definitely not hate you brother, honestly we love you house of Judah more than you will ever understand even if you don’t believe in Yahshua, yet.
Catholics are 100% wrong about making statues this an abomination it is idolatry! No one present day know how Yahshua looked like. But I think Jews think Catholics are Christians, right? Christians and Catholics are conflicting and almost polar opposite believes. When you were speaking you were highlighting catholic practices which are not Christian
As far as the Bible being translated incorrectly I 100% agree with you, which is why we are so desperately trying our hardest to learn Hebrew! You had the beautiful privilege the gift 🎁 of growing up learning Hebrew! We didn’t 😞Now as adults we are giving it 110% at learning (what our parents did not teach us) since we are searching for The Truth! The Creator has placed this fervent desire in us to search His Truth in The original language! And we know that The Truth of the correct Writtings is with The Jews! Hence Zeccheria 8:23

not about translation, the errors are minimal and barely change any idolic xtian views. it s the benjamin/yosef competition with yehuda...yakov/esav.... paul, theravenouswolf, is the one who claims jesus is messiah... jesus said himself after his resurection to his apostles, when they partied 40 days on mount zion, that he had to leave for the Comforter(the messiah spoken in isiah 53) to come,, which he did on the 50 th day, Savuot... jesus third party testimony claimed he couldnt be the messiah because the fruits were not ready.. however, when a torah scholar reads the nt, the main story is not jesus, but the moedim are at forefront and instilled for the gentiles. obvious the nt were written by rabbis, its all kaballah. but they know it not. caught in the fervor of the shed blood of the saints.
