If the Federation ships on the 'classic' side of the battle are post-VOY, the Borg Sphere *has* to operate on pure defence because all it takes is a transphasic torpedo to reduce it to scrap.

Even as heavily armored a Battle-Star is there should be no way for it to shrug off the Reaper beam weapon. Maybe it could take a hit or two... maybe, but without shields they should not survive for more then a few seconds. The Reaper beam is equivalent in power to a wave motion cannon, as seen in the game even the largest ships get destroyed in just a single hit from it and the Reapers have multiple of them mounted on their warships. Even with shields it would likely still be destroyed within ten seconds. There is no way the Galactica could win.
@@vrass775 The reaper beam is nothing more than melted iron being accelerated at high speeds. The Galactica was made with heavy plating in mind to withstand the rigors of space combat. She does not have shields, mind you, so the armor is ablative to boil as heat or kinekt impacts are made against it. So she could survive for some time.
@@luska5522 However that wasn't the Galatcia which is a Jupiter class. An old ass battlestar by battlestar standards. It was the Sleipnir. An Arvak class. As for the rest of the debate posted above. Firstly let's establish that the ship armour in BSG universe is aprently stronger than the armour used in other IP's since most others have shields. BSG has heavy ass armour but no shielding. A jupiter class could in theroy take quite a few hits in the same spot before the armour would start to buckle. An Arvak class has alot more armour. More guns. And the armour is more effective due to it's design. Multipul spaced armour sections as opposed to just great big plates of it. An Arvak could take on a reaper toe to toe and likely send the reaper packing. Hell a jupiter could likely give it a run for it's money. This is before we account for the waves of MK 4/5 vipers. Raptors and potentialy even Scimitar bombers. Since battlestars arn't just big gunboats. They're battleship carrier hybrids.
I'm the *last* person who'd complain about a nice space battle, but some background would be...nice. Captain: O.K. people, shields to maximum, all weapons on standby, get us to a safe distance, look up those ships in "Jane's", and *somebody* tell me where we are! Sensor Ops: No data on most of them, some come close to some speculative designs, reading 3 Romulan signatures, but 1 looks like something from before the 4 Years War, and the other 2 are using *anti-matter* reactors. I scan what looks like 4, no, 5 Klingons, 1 with *fusion* power, 3 with some sort of *quantum* reactor, the last 1 has so much old Cardassian tech grafted onto it that our sensors had trouble. I see 2 Federation ships, a Miranda and an old Dreadnought design, but with Terran Empire markings. Oh, the 3 quantum powered Klingons, they've just powered up their...*phasers*? Captain: And our day keeps getting better! Do not fire unless fired upon, with something close to the yield of our weapons. To quote a Certain Person, "The fool attacks the stranger, not knowing his intent. The wise man keeps his sword ready, but lowered." Get us to the outskirts of this system. Let's take a wait and see approach, for now... Has anybody started firing yet? Sensor Ops: Not yet, but looks like everybody's shields, or what looks like shields, are up and they're backing away from the others. Some are powering up weapons, though. 1st Officer: Interesting. This appears to be a new situation for every vessel here. Captain: At least it is for us. Comms? Communications: Aye, Captain? Captain: Send a tight beam hail to those phaser armed, quantum using Klingons. Attach a message at the end, say we will fight *to the death* if attacked, but cooperation with the most technologically advanced faction *could* lead to glory and honor, with survival as a distant third. And make it ambiguous *which* one of us is the more advanced. Comms: Aye-aye, Captain. 1st Officer: I am appreciative of your skill negotiating with Klingons. Captain: (Smiles a toothy smile.) More from life-long experience than any native talent... 1st Officer: (Under her breath.) "And skilled with the sword is Belisarius..."
Klingons originally use phasers but as they became a bigger empire they used disruptors because the took less energy to use and did a equal amount of damage as the phasers sometimes more.
Yes Andromeda was a great science fiction series, but then again it was another Gene Roddenberry's projects, not as famous as Star Trek, though, there was another Roddenberry, series made after he died and I think it aired before Andromeda and that is Earth Final Conflict but shows were discovered by Roddenberry's wife Majel Barrett, as notes ect, Roddenberry, did a lot of other shows too, including the ones before Star Trek, in the 1950s and early 1960s,

that was not an imperial ship, i don't even know what that was. the color scheme is more republic than empire, and the symbol is republic. If anything i think that is a republic star battleship or a class of it.
I'm thinking Andromeda Ascendant's 1900+ missiles per minute would mop up this mess pretty fast. Dillon asks "Andromeda, how long would it take to destroy this fleet?" Rommie replies "2.7 seconds"
Yeah in these cross overs, you never really get to see the Andromeda Used properly.....she is kind of overpowered to be fair, but it would have been nice to see her say take out the reaper :p
Each of those missiles can accelerate to 90% of c. That’s a LOT of kinetic energy. You don’t even need a warhead at that point. And this isn’t even including Rommie’s other weapons like anti-proton cannons and Nova bombs (granted, Nova bombs are strategic weapons, but still, no other ship here can blow up an entire star system, since they didn’t bother to include Stargate and Carter/McKay in the mix)
@@artembentsionov trek torpedoes would need to be capable of going close to that velocity as well given that they can catch up to and hit ships that can accelerate to 0.25c in seconds. And each torpedo is much more massive than the missiles used by the Andromeda so the kinetic energy of torpedoes would be nothing to sneeze at compared to the Andromeda's missile volleys. When you add the explosive component of torpedoes they become even more destructive; a fleet of 20 ships destroyed 30% of an Earth-sized planet's crust in a single volley, which requires significantly more energy than depopulating a planet's surface (and they expected to destroy its mantle as well in the next few hours, which if you look at a cross section of the Earth is thousands of times larger than the crust). And I don't really buy that Borg ships are more vulnerable to kinetic weapons than (as you mentioned in another reply) because they withstand torpedoes just fine.
@@keyboardt8276 but how many torpedoes are carried about a single ship? I think the Voyager only (officially) had something like 40. I’m sure a front-liner like the Sovereign class would have more, but that still doesn’t even come close to 1900+ per minute. And that’s, of course, ignoring all the cosmic-scale WMDs the Andromeda carries (or used to). Hell, Rommie’s sister ship blew up a planet by ejecting its drive core on it. A warp core breach can’t do that

@@luska5522 The Asgard plasma beam weapons could tear through some of the most advanced shields in the show (Which could probably dive into a sun and stay there indefinitely) And the hyperdrive could cross from one end of the milkyway to the other end of the pegasus galaxy in 3 weeks (roughly 2-3 days with a ZPM powering it) Also after they fully integrated the asgard shield tech with the oddysey, it survived for several minutes under constant strain from 5 ships shooting some of the most powerful beam weapons ever made (aside from the asgard beams)

What's scary is that the Attackstar was tractored by the Borg sphere. Could that imply an alliance? They are both cybernetic, both despise humans, so their goals are the same. CY(Cylon) Borg=CyBorg Alliance, bad to WORSE.
@@deathstrike No what's more likely is that Borg Sphere felt that odds of surviving the exchange was nill, So they grabbed a near by ship to assimilate its crew, knowledge and technology. But likely still they'll be assimilated later now that they're helpless and alliance of convenience is no longer needed.

Me: doesnt watch that much ST, no clue about Mass Effect, Andromeda, or Farscape, but knows about starwars and BSG, but doesnt search those topics on youtube. TH-cam recommendations: yes
2 nitpicks to this awesome video: 1) All Star Trek factions would work together against the Borg with little to no hesitation. Though the Romulans would try to get a cheap shot in against the others once the Borg were near defeat. 2) The Borg don't retreat. All drones and a single sphere are expendable.
Also, some ships have shields that shouldn't. I'm pretty sure I saw the Galactica and the cylon ship both having shields, also their kinetic weapons, and those of the Mass Effect ships are practically useless against the shields of the others. Not to mention the kinetic fields of the Mass Effect ships being useless against DEWs such as phasers, the amount of times I wanted the Kelvin Enterprise to just fire a few photon torpedoes and phasers at the reaper. But apart from that the video was fantastic.

Now can someone please explain to me why fan made star trek films and some TV series often have absolutely woeful CGI. The CGI in this puts them to absolute shame, because it was made with love. Well done.
+Johnny Delgado Depends on the series. Star Trek started using purely CGI ships in late TNG - the first ship to be purely CGI rather than a physical model was the Akira class.
ArmyOfAll Because star trek is more about the dialect. My problem is why are they using jj abram ships since there not even consider star trek canon or star trek for the real fans of star trek.
This is absolutely the biggest cluster fuck of a space battle ever, but I can not help but love it! In all seriousness though, in a battle of whose universe would actually reign supreme, that is a tie between Star Trek and Star Wars.
the only thing that Star Wars ships have over the Star Trek ones is the speed, thats why i loves that he made that Venator last to the end of the video :D
How do you know that Star Wars ships are faster than Star trek ships? The only technical fact I ever noted in the movies is that Han solo is proud of 1.5 light speed of his falcon which is claimed to be enough to get away from Star Destroyers. At least it was like this in the German synchro. Compared to that Warp in Star Trek can be more than a thousandfold of light speed. Star wars is giving nearly no technical information in general which makes it impossible to compare. Based on what have I seen in movies and TV, Star Trek ships seem to be stronger olthough I am a fan of both.
Star trek has the edge in tech shields and weapons being much more advanced, star wars has the total edge in speed. hyper drive travel is as much as 1000 times faster that the highest warp speed including quantum slip stream travel, quantum slipstream travel essentially (tunnels) through space allowing for a higher rate of speed but conventional laws of physics ad space still apply. Warp travel warps the (fabric) of space bringing point A and point B closer together, hyper space travel is in effect hopping into a (hyper dimension) of space where space/time laws as we know them are different and allow much higher speeds.
I can see the "bad guys" firing on any thing that moves that doesnt look like them, but the ones we normally see as good guys not so much. That said the animation and time it took to make this are awe inspiring. Good job.
Prime timeline federation especially I could see making a beeline for the portal generator and not firing until the take a few hits. Could be an interesting pov storyline of the bridge of one of them, especially if they are moved to start from the other side of the portal

Yep Andromeda is kind of always left out of stuff like this so nice to see her there, though I think she should have had a slightly bigger impact.(probably the most op ship there really). Also pretty sure Talyn would have been on the side of the federation, still great vid :)
if u could add any ships from another series, that wasn't present in this, what would u pick. personally i'd add ships from Stargate such as a few Daedalus class or Wraith hive ships
Not considering that Andromeda would annihilate them all in less than a minute, this is a great example of graphics' show and I (knowing how hard it is to make this kind of stuff work) really am happy I can enjoy something like this every now an' then. Thank you very much and keep up great work!
I too saw the episode on Andromeda where they deploy their nova bombs. But the key word is deploy. You have to be be able to deploy them before you can use them and if somebody gets the drop on you, well then you're gone.
This was very well made. I understand the need for balance between the ships, but if you were to make a more in-depth analysis; Farscape ships would have exploded immediately. Mass effect ships would have been melted by laser weaponry since their weapons philosophy is kinetic based using the 'mass effect" Battlestar ships don't have energy shields, the universe is meant to be more about "realistic" tactical combat, the "shielding" is point defense. All ships would have vaporised under any energy attack, the Mass Effect ships would have sheared a Battlestar in half with one round. Star Trek seems to be more about measures and counter-measures within their own universe and mostly radiation based weaponry and warp technologies. Their ships would have fared the longest. But, the winner would be the Star Wars ship, only because Star Wars is built up around a Galaxy sized empire that has ships the size of celestial bodies and shipyards circling planets. In such a universe the numbers are bloated. The ship has a higher energy output then normal sized stars and the Anti-gravity to hover in an atmosphere passively. That ship has a reactor bigger then most of the other ships in entirety. Each laser shot would probably have a higher energy output then the Star Trek ship's reactors combined.
Do not overlook the andromeda. The combination of 1 million planets across 3 galaxies worth of tech. known as one of the most powerful warships ever created, could outgun pretty much everything there. Well unless the LEXX turned up.........
Joe Gibson I don’t know if that was trying to disprove him but that’s a completely different time period and the first one was intentionally sabotaged God that was nerdy
Farscape ships would be totally under-powered for this...frell Moya wasn't even armed all it had was a shield ...mind if Crichton had activated his warp weapon ALL of them would be screwed(not sure if that was what is happening in the beginning???...if so ramming it wouldn't stop it)

Wouldn’t the Borg be like: “This is an all-you-can-assimilate buffet!”
If the Federation ships on the 'classic' side of the battle are post-VOY, the Borg Sphere *has* to operate on pure defence because all it takes is a transphasic torpedo to reduce it to scrap.

MWkillkenny84 didn’t it happen in the Voyager finale? The Queen assimilated Admiral Janeway and her shuttle with all the future tech in it
@@artembentsionov No, the Collective was unable to assimilate Admiral Janeway's timeline tech because Adm. Janeway had 'poisoned' herself with a technobabble anti-Collective Connection virus, and when the Queen started the assimilation of Adm. Janeway the backlash from the virus was so great that the Collective was too tied into not imploding upon itself, nevermind assimilating technology (and I can bet that Adm. Janeway rigged her shuttle to go ka-boom the instant the Borg managed to teleport her out).

@@jeremybk54 yeeeaaahhhh, that battlestar is dead in the first 3 minuites

Klingons originally use phasers but as they became a bigger empire they used disruptors because the took less energy to use and did a equal amount of damage as the phasers sometimes more.

Missiles? Meh.

1) All Star Trek factions would work together against the Borg with little to no hesitation.
Seeing the Kelvin Enterprise made me smile. Outside of the Enterprise E and Enterprise F, it is my favorite Enterprise design. It was a bit hard trying to see who was friendly with who but neat all the same. That being said, I'm betting Anakin was in command of that Republic Attack Crusier. Only he(or his Padawan) would be bold enough to look at the other ships and then his and think "Oh yeah, I got this. Admiral, RAMMING SPEED!!" Either that or they let Worf take command for this battle. Great work!
Here for battlestar galactica
It took on a Reaper point blank rage
So say we all
Tony Stark?
Admiral Adama O7
Man, no matter how many times I watch this it's still cool.
Thank you! :)
Fact: this is your best. Also I changed my name to Oceantic from DarkGLaDOS. If you can I know you can do better
I hope someday you make Empire vs Star Fleet.
I also hope he makes something like Borg vs Klingons or The United Fedration of Planets vs The Empire. Maybe, Star Trek vs Star Wars?
+mr6johnclark can we not we just resolver that
Now can someone please explain to me why fan made star trek films and some TV series often have absolutely woeful CGI.
The CGI in this puts them to absolute shame, because it was made with love.
Well done.
They used models in the tv series
+Johnny Delgado
Depends on the series. Star Trek started using purely CGI ships in late TNG - the first ship to be purely CGI rather than a physical model was the Akira class.
VestedUTuber the ship from Enterprise actually it isn't an Akira class, its an NX class. the fact is correct though
+Paolo Giovanoli
Irrelevant. Re-read the comment thread.
ArmyOfAll Because star trek is more about the dialect. My problem is why are they using jj abram ships since there not even consider star trek canon or star trek for the real fans of star trek.
Each fleet arrives*
What should we fire at?*
Everything*
FIRE!*
Then leave the battlefield peacefully
Thoroughly enjoyed that. Very imaginative and extremely well done.
Thanks! :)
Based on what have I seen in movies and TV, Star Trek ships seem to be stronger olthough I am a fan of both.
you can search on youtube speed comparisons, theres a lot of videos and charts calculations on the internet.
Lisa winn But transwarp is faster mu friend.
Meanwhile on the Bridge:
*Screen shaking Intensifies*
I can see the "bad guys" firing on any thing that moves that doesnt look like them, but the ones we normally see as good guys not so much. That said the animation and time it took to make this are awe inspiring. Good job.
Prime timeline federation especially I could see making a beeline for the portal generator and not firing until the take a few hits. Could be an interesting pov storyline of the bridge of one of them, especially if they are moved to start from the other side of the portal
can't stop re-watching. i'm still struggling with the particle systems. this is such an awesome piece of work!
amazing vedio im glad star wars and star trek team up with other franchizes it. in stead of fans fighting over witch franchise is better
Delta 327 yeah, i agree with you
Took me a while to figure out each team and who's on who's team and that it wasn't just one battle there were TWO battles on both sides of the portal. This is wild crazy and amazing and loved it great job guys
Was hoping for same stargate ships to show up but still an amazing video
A reaper shows up and everyone shits themselves
I miss these videos, very sad, I loved the first one, and was super excited when I had seen the second, I however must say, that I appreciate that they were made in the first place 😊,
I've never seen that Republic ship before but all I can say its badass
It was a strident class ship
I think
It's a old republic crusier from the clone wars era.
Don't worry I had to Google it right after watching the video, it's a Legacy Class Star Destroyer of the Galactic Republic
Ok that made no sense but it was the best quality hobbyist space battle I have ever seen. Better than most professionally made ones imo. The accuracy of weapon types for each ship was on point.
Wow thank you very much!!
Amazing video. Loved the enhanced slipstream effect for the Andromeda Ascendant. Would be interested to see another video using ships from other franchises such as: White Stars and Shadow Ships from Babylon 5, The Liberator & Federation Pursuit ships from Blake's 7, The Lexx...etc
Thanks! I'll definitely use some of these ships, may be more(like StarGate) in the future.
EnterprisezJ and ect. Just look where you say In future
dear god this is beautiful. *dies of nerdgasm*
Bring it on, multiverse
Bring Terran Empire
@@domiv766 ok imagine the Terran Flagship from discovery joining and even though it's outdated compared to the other ships from their times it would still give them a good fight since it has those weapons that are powered from the mycelial rift
Omg I honestly was not expecting much out of this at the start but by the end I got chills just seeing all of these ships (most of em I recognize) in an all out brawl ! Fantastic space battle !
Thank you very much!!
WOW! This is an EPIC Recommendation!
Beautifully animated, and the problems with the cross faction ship strengths doesnt really bother me. but what the fuck is actually going on in this vid?
Thank you! There is a script in the description.
+EnterprisezJ haha ok thanks, sorry I tend to forget to look there
+The Coolio btw you definitely need to make more of these. so awesome.
+EnterprisezJ btw you definitely need to make more of these. so awesome
Someone posted a political comment in galactic chat.
This is fantastically done. Love the attention to detail on everything. I do feel Andromeda could just Nova Bomb everything and jump to slipstream. Also, why were they fighting?
Yep Andromeda is kind of always left out of stuff like this so nice to see her there, though I think she should have had a slightly bigger impact.(probably the most op ship there really). Also pretty sure Talyn would have been on the side of the federation, still great vid :)
For a moment I thought that the saucer ship was a Dalek ship from Dr Who lol
Now there is one epic sci-fi extravaganza!!!
Hear, hear!
if u could add any ships from another series, that wasn't present in this, what would u pick. personally i'd add ships from Stargate such as a few Daedalus class or Wraith hive ships
Not considering that Andromeda would annihilate them all in less than a minute, this is a great example of graphics' show and I (knowing how hard it is to make this kind of stuff work) really am happy I can enjoy something like this every now an' then. Thank you very much and keep up great work!
Thank you veery much! :)
Exactly. At that distance from that star especially... Launch nova bomb and initiate slip stream... Peace out losers. LOL. Great video.
You do know that the andromeda will need a lots of time to defeat 1.borg sphere 2.scimitar 3.reaper 4.....idk maybe that space station?
I too saw the episode on Andromeda where they deploy their nova bombs. But the key word is deploy. You have to be be able to deploy them before you can use them and if somebody gets the drop on you, well then you're gone.
This was very well made. I understand the need for balance between the ships, but if you were to make a more in-depth analysis;
Farscape ships would have exploded immediately.
Mass effect ships would have been melted by laser weaponry since their weapons philosophy is kinetic based using the 'mass effect"
Battlestar ships don't have energy shields, the universe is meant to be more about "realistic" tactical combat, the "shielding" is point defense.
In star wars: ships are made, you know, for wars:)
Yeah. That's why the Death Stars keep getting blown apart by small one-man fighters or by an armed freighter.
Do not overlook the andromeda. The combination of 1 million planets across 3 galaxies worth of tech. known as one of the most powerful warships ever created, could outgun pretty much everything there. Well unless the LEXX turned up.........
Joe Gibson I don’t know if that was trying to disprove him but that’s a completely different time period and the first one was intentionally sabotaged
God that was nerdy
Farscape ships would be totally under-powered for this...frell Moya wasn't even armed all it had was a shield ...mind if Crichton had activated his warp weapon ALL of them would be screwed(not sure if that was what is happening in the beginning???...if so ramming it wouldn't stop it)
excellent my man.. amazing. put a smile on my face seeing so many ships from so many shows.
Thank you very very much!!
