How to Fix iTunes Error 4013 on iPhone 7/7 Plus

iTunes error 4013 is one of the most common problems for iPhone users. iPhone 7 error 4013 is usually caused by pseudo soldering or damage of CPU, and also might be related to power supply of baseband PMU or NAND Flash. Since CPU repair is quite difficult, we can check power supply of baseband PMU and NAND Flash first. If nothing goes wrong, try to replace a new baseband PMU. In this iPhone iTunes 4013 error case, the problem is fixed after baseband PMU replacement. If the problem remains unresolved, we can try to replace the NAND Flash. If still not, then check the CPU.

What is the normal measurement for the nand and cpu?
what should the voltages be for C5623, C5631, C1701, C1721, C1704?
now iphone can't be detected by Pc stuck in DFU mode. but when you insert usb and the iphone is off it turns on to dfu but can't be recognized in 3utools or itunes.
Baseband voltages don’t appear in recovery mode. If they’re present they’ll quickly flash during an attempted boot before it reboots (typical problem with error 4013 when not forced in recovery or DFU). They also appear very briefly when attempting a restore at the beginning of the process. If they’re missing at those moments then suspect a bad bb PMU granted none are shorted due to baseband ic pulling them down or a capacitor on the rails
It is more common to have unfixable problems that are internal to the Baseband CPU. Consider yourself lucky if just replacing the baseband PMU is all you need
John Baker yesterday alone I had two, one short internal to bbcpu and another with 3 different rf lines shorted and still 4013
Yep, if your real lucky none of those 3 shorts will trace back to the BBCPU. I've only seen one that I traced to an RF chip through a 0 ohm resistor. I replaced it and it came back alive. But most of the time i trace it to the BBCPU.

I don’t need XCVR1_RF to boot right? So I have not replaced it but still 4013 i flashed ios12 beta1 and get the could not activate of course shutdown lmao
can you see an IMEI in 3u tools? If not that is why you cant activate. I wouldn't be so sure you don't need that RF chip. Sounds like something was problematic and created all this mess. Lets hope it was BBPMU and not the BBCPU
How much Reading Value on a MULTEMER do u you consider as NORMAL and how much do you consider as ABNORMAL when measuring the voltage on the resistors such as (C1701,C1721)
I have an Iphone 7 boot looping and has error 4013 when restoring. I have NAND Voltages and C5622 PP_VDD_MAIN voltages but nothing on C5631 PP_1V225_SMPS2... I reballed BB PMU, no change, replaced with known good PMU and no change. I removed and reprogrammed NAND, no change, I removed and reballed BB CPU, no change, replaced Tristar and no change. I cannot find any shorts and not sure what to try next... any ideas?
Since you are still have the issue, I would start by removing and replacing with new or known good parts.
If the reprogrammer can read and write to the NAND, the NAND isn't the issue. But, if you have one you can swap in, give it a shot. Assemble and retest.
Next, I would swap in a new BB_PMU, or at least a 'known good' PMU from another board. Assemble and retest.
I just received a phone for LCD Assembly replacement, the phone booted in recovery mode so i tried to exit without success and when i tried to restore/update the 5s reboots and started bootlooping.
Then the "error 4013" happened , and you guys uploaded the video just in the right moment, wow!
I am not sure yet which component causes this problem, but we will see.
By the way, is the procedure for 5s or 6 the same?

Why would you replace baseband PMU if all measured voltages are good???
Because of the normal supply of voltage to the bb pmu, so there is a possibility that it is problem from the the bb pmu itself. Of cause, it may not but it is the first easier step to check out first.

Why didn't he first find the missing or wrong voltage, and then assume the PMU is bad, and only then change it.
He considers that cpu is hard to repair in that error that is why he is trying to make a first step by changing that ic before he goes to cpu repair
What we want to show in this video is not the repair case but the troubleshooting method. iPhone 7/7Plus error 4013 may be related to CPU, Baseband and NAND Flash, but we usually start from the simple and most likely part.

iPhone screen lock can be removed by iTunes restore, but you will lose the data.

L HK I bought it as spares repair and it booted into recovery mode . Managed to get it to boot when restoring iOS 12 beta 1 as it ignores baseband however as it has no imei from broken baseband I could not activate it
Check baseband voltages when powered up since iOS beta 12 skips bb verification. If missing replace bb PMU after determining no shorts
The problem is most likely related to Baseband PMU or Baseband CPU.

I just got this update error code 4013, updated process commenced through the latest macbook pro (those with the type-c connectors). I connected the original apple cable via this type c USB device (Satechi), which I suspect the cause of the problem as the device probably couldn't supply sufficient voltage to the iphone 7 for update. Problem solved after I plugged the iphone cable to the back of my monitor which is connected to my computer using type c connector.
I'm having this error with my iPhone XS Max. Apple told me that it's basically a hardware problem.

Easier, because you do not update to the latest iOS 12 beta update and you will not lose your information. First for the device in recovery mode. (Remember to update by pressing the shift key in windows and Mac with the command key and select the iOS 12 Beta)

вообще не показательно - прогревается все и проц и нанд и опера, в чем был обрыв хз через день-неделю такое назад принесут на 70%.
Можно снять и паяльником такую микросхему чтобы ничего лишнего не погреть
