Thanks for the info! I have new valve body coming for mine. Im assuming you were having some shifting issues as you replaced valve body. What issues were you having and did they get fixed?
I was having issues with going from 2nd-3rd gear whenever my trans was up to operating temp. From a stop.. 1st to 2nd was normal. 2nd to 3rd would just completely high rev and would pretty much be in neutral. It would find itself and go from there. All other gears would shift perfectly. Since I've had the revmax valve body 1st-3rd is absolutely beautiful firm shifts then 3rd going into 4th is somewhat hesitant almost like a flare sadly. And 5th going into 6th is definitely has a decent flare.. not really sure on where to go now with it. Hope yours turns out good man!
I’m have flares on 6-5 and 4-3 downshifts but only at lower RPMs and some throttle input. I’m deleted and tuned but have tried 3 different companies and all had different shifting issues. Ordered one from SPE so hopefully it fixes my issues otherwise it probably needs built trans and converter. Hopefully you get yours figured out. Good luck
Also to add.. i am tuned etc. and it didn't mess with my tuning. I took it easy for a couple weeks checking levels on fluid and making sure everything was good.
I did not reprogram mine. I gave them my serial # and I got a Ford valve body and I'm deleted. I was told to just drive it till normal operating trans temp then reinstalled to ECM and TCM tune and then drive it with light throttle and come to a stop like in traffic. I just drove around town. And then do that same think taking it up to freeway speeds. Then back in town while adding a little more throttle. Like some medium throttle in with the light throttle and coming to stops. The next day or if you can drive it for a day after this just be easy and do horse around at all. Just normal driving and it should straighten out. I'm happy with mine. No more slamming
There was a comment in the installation instructions that came with my valve body that says “remove the manual valve retaining tube before installing the control unit”. Does anybody know what that means? Because I don’t see it anywhere in any of the online videos that I’ve looked up.

@@devonsarkinen3165 please update when you install the SPE unit id like to know what more ppl say about their product before i buy one
@@devonsarkinen3165 Did you ever get your SPE valve body installed? I’m wondering how it is now.
I did install SPE valve body. Been driving for a couple weeks and shifting is great. No issues
What software did you use to program this
I had a buddy from ford come to my house and reprogram it. I’m not sure if you can use forscan to program it or not
@ ah I see, well thank you anyways brother
@@Ye_salty_dog Anytime!
If you're deleted and tuned, do you have to have it reprogrammed? I bought an OEM valve body from ford
I believe either way you'll have to have it reprogrammed.

Did you ever figure it out I’m reading the same thing and don’t see anything about it
Do you get it reprogrammed before or after it goes on the truck?
Afterwards
Did this fix your issue?
Yes it did.
