you prolly dont care at all but does any of you know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me.
@Beckett Zakai thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Great painting and review! I have never heard of Vitrix until now but their quality is excellent from what I have seen in this tutorial. Thanks for the recommendation. I will check them out.
I have the Victrix Vikings and Spartans and they are some of the best plastic multipart kits for historicals I've ever found. They usually take me around 6 hours per mini to paint, however.
Companies just now moving toward plastic? Warlord has been making plastic historicals since 2009 when they made the first plastic 28mm Romans. We all go under a rock for periods of time so no harm done, great review and paint job! Really wish these were more available in the US, they've got a set of plastic Roman generals and cavalry out now which look ace!
Great paint tutorial! The only quirky thing about plastics is attaching the arms or other gear. Other than that, I really like the details which companies are doing now a days. If you're looking for rank-n-file early Romans, looks at Old Glory 25s. My complete army is 95% OG25s. Most leaders are from Aventine along with some unique Carthaginian and Thracian character figures. You definitively get for what you pay for with Aventine. OG is not bad either, as I really like the detail for 30 figs in a bag. I also like your small historical tid-bits about the shield and armor wear. Great job as always. Take care.
That is true, the assembly can be a pain. I haven’t seen their romans but I have a fair amount of old glory sassanid cavalry and the detail is impressive for the price. Old glory definitely wins in the bang for your buck category.
Fabulous work sir. I have just bought the same Victrix figures and I'm looking forward to getting started on them. Could you add a list of the paints that you used to the video info?
Thanks! I used scale 75 artist acrylics, I based it with a mix of Naples yellow and buff. Then I simply added more white to the mix as I highlighted up.
Magnificent paint job, wonderful miniature, good history! Thanks for doing this. I am assembling a pretty good pile of Warlord miniatures...a tad dwarfish...had a bunch of Victrix stuff on order for a month but I guess they were on holiday...great miniatures, plastic, decent price but still waiting for my order :(> Very helpful. If I had seen this first I would have ordered more Victrix but then I wouldn't have ANY Romans to work on. Thanks for doing this. It was splendid. If you do the Victrix war elephant, I wouldn't mind :)>
They are pretty close, but they are proportioned a lot different. Gw humans are always bulky and more a heroic scale...these are realistically proportioned.
@@RedBeardBaron But height wise, would they match? I know the proportions are more realistic, but that doesn't bother me, it's mostly height I'm after.
hey buddy ya you nailed it .....ya plastic ...but its nice because you feel good you put it together and pow i sold 180 naps plastic of course the bayonets broke off on 60 ya .... so is there any parts that could break off easy... any way i have my naps i just got the whole battlefields of buildings of waterloo all of them so off i go;;;;o boy see you in a year''''''lol no not that long but after seeing this guy i want a roman army .....vixtrix has the most figures for the buck or in the box sets ....60 4000 that's good...right..
Thanks for the additional info on historical accuracy!

@Wesley Kelvin glad I could help =)
Great painting and review! I have never heard of Vitrix until now but their quality is excellent from what I have seen in this tutorial. Thanks for the recommendation. I will check them out.
Thanks John! Their whole range is impressive...I’ve been tempted to get into napoleonics several times because of them.

They do take forever, so much detail begging to be painted!
A great video I love your energy mate
Fantastic paint job. Thanks for sharing.

Wargames Factory were first though they went kaput. Agema also have a small line of plastic ancients.
Interesting step by step vid, inspiring and wonderful painting!
Thanks!
Great video, thank you. The pilae did not bend , they would become a ''nuiscance'' in the shield.
Great video and tutorial I've done a heaps of these and agree with you awesome detail
Can’t wait to get through a few more, the officer models are especially spectacular
Great painting, can you play any wargames with these guys though?

Hi... may I know the dimensions of the scutums? trying to see if I can pass it off for larger scale infantries
Very good vid, will certainly check them out 👍👍
Never have too many Romans!

Thanks for watching! I am currently working on a dark age Irish warrior with a Dane axe...so almost a Viking?

Thanks! I’ll add them to the description!
@@RedBeardBaron Awesome. Many thanks

1.25 cm by 2cm
You haven't put in the paints you've used :(
Nice colors. Great model for sure.. looks like you've done that a few times.. lol
Joys of painting historicals...always a few hundred minis calling your name!
How big are these guys compared to GW's Empire dudes?

Their pila are a bit delicate and would likely break if dropped. Another con of plastic...nowhere near as durable as metal.
damn, these are good. And cheap.
