The man makes the complexity of an automatic transmission look like its a walk in the park.

@iptperformancetrans man you should do an update video about transmission maintenance, care friction modifiers aftermarket fluid vs oem.

I don't know crap about transmissions and I ended up watching this video. It scares me to think about how complicated my tundra trans is. How does anything actually stay together and work together. Thank you for your incredible knowledge of these things.

So I swapping my valve body and I was left with an extra spring. Turns out that piston takes two springs. Your other assembly video missed that information. I'm glad I found this information in current video 👌. Your videos are almost 100% perfect.

0:06, isn't the torque converter clutch a lock-up clutch that only engages above a certain speed to provide a 1:1 ratio between engine and gearbox (no slip), it's not responsible for transmitting power. Unless we have a case here where the 700HP is too much for the lock-up clutch, causing slipping.

Converter clutch slip and shudder is extremely common in these and of course higher horsepower doesn’t help

Great video, very informative...curious if they were running your valve body, or if it was a stock transmission? I don't recall you saying. Looking forward to the rebuild.

I’ll be needing this for my supercharged offroad tundra

I would have to go to Harvard University for 10 years to learn what I've learned from this one video

It’s my understanding that Harvard is a good place to learn about trannys lol

I feel like if you already are taking apart the transmission...may as well replace all the clutches. That's just me though.

@@Baebon6259 No way, I just take them apart a leave them like that..
It gets cluttered after decades of pulling stuff apart and not rebuilding them afterwards.
