😮🙏 Thank You So Much Jacque Villeneuve for reaching out & comforted a guilt tormented Jochen Mass who through racing accident claimed the life of his late father Gille Villenueve ... We should apologize for the wrong we have done , be thankful for the opportunities given to better ourselves & to forgive others & to our own selves as we all lacked the good merits , wisdom & emotional maturity to understand & to do the right thing in our past ... May Gille Villeneuve be blessed to a Better World & Realm of Bliss ... & be reunited with His Loved Ones in a Better Place in due Time & Space ... Jochen Mass , we forgive you for the racing accident ... Please forgive yourself too as you've being tormented enough after all these decades of guilt & pay it forward to comfort others in their own personal & emotional battles ... Thank You So Much for sharing this illuminating & therapeutic tribute in dealing with emotional torments in our respective lives ... 🕯🌼🌿🌏✌💜🇨🇦🇩🇪
Your dates are way off. Gilles died May 8, but it was 1982 NOT 1979. Jochen Mass was one of my favorite F1 drivers of the period. He did go on to success in sportscar racing driving for the factory Porsche team in WSC.
This is just an awful click bait video. Suggesting that Jochen' whole life has been shaped and tormented by a straightforward racing accident is simply wrong. Granted it resulted in the death of a much loved, exciting and significant figure such as Gilles Villeneuve, but it was a racing incident. The script aspires to be great literature it seems. And then we have a very poor AI narrator. I do wish the channel well and it's potentially a good subject, but back to the drawing board.
Wrong dates and races. Figure of Mass completely overhyped (he never was more than an average F1 driver, although a much better one in Touring and Sportscars).
If one is going to make komedy click bate clips at least get some basic facts correct the accident this nonesense vid refers to was in 1982 not 1979 and in Belgium at Zolder not Dijon in France. The pinacle of Jochens F1 career were his Marboro McLaren years 1975 to 1977 not his March year in 1982. Jochen had long been a works Porsche regular by the time he retired from F1 in 1982 and remained so until 1987, for 1988 he was recruited by Sauber Mercedes and won Le Mans driving a Mercedes in 1989. Computers are great things but if you put garbage in you get garbage out please refrain from doing so infuture.
I watch many You Tube F1 videos - from the 60s, 70s and 80s usually - and there is much wonderful footage to be seen. But the dreadful fact-checking (or lack of!) on this video is gobsmacking, unforgiveable, an absolute insult to both Gilles and Jochen. During my visits to motor racing events from 1984 onwards I only saw Jochen driving in the WSC races and, in those, he was a very fine driver for the Rothmans Porsche factory team along with the likes of Derek Bell, Jacky Ickx and Stefan Bellof, the latter tragically taken much too soon in the 1985 Spa WSC race. Heart warming to see the words of Jacques to Jochen. Is this, as I suspect, AI narrated?
F1 Icons? More like F1 I don't have a clue what I am talking about. Time to put up and shut up. Don't beleive a word of it, check the genuine story for yourselves in recognised reference sources.
I met Jochen at Goodwood Festival Of Speed in 2005 and spoke to him for 15 minutes. He had hands like shovels! Big unit. This video is garbage- full of inaccuracies- incorrect dates etc. Mass was far more successful in ETCC racing than he was in F1, he was an average F1 driver. To get the date wrong of Gilles V's tragic accident by THREE YEARS is unforgiveable and reflects on the slapdash approach and lack of attention to detail.
“The Tifosi went wild as he won his maiden Grand Prix.” So, wait a minute, Ferrari fans (tifosi) get all worked up when a German driving a McLaren wins the Spanish GP? Well F1 was certainly very different in the 1970s. Or is it just that this video is a load of bollocks?
Also no mention of the fact the 1975 Spanish GP that according to the OP "made the Tifosi so happy" (to see Mass win in a McLaren) was in itself a tragic race with it being terminated at maybe half distance due to the tragic loss of spectators lives when Stommelen's Hill crashed theough and over badly installed barriers killing several spectators. Utter garbage clickbait video full of inaccuracy and utter drivel. A disgrace.
This video is crap. Not accurate at all and not credible or reliable. Should be taken down.
Incredible...the speaker says that the Villeneuve was in 1979 while it happened 3 years later...!
After F1, Jochen Mass and Hans Stuck continued to be formidable drivers in endurance racing.

Yes, crap video. Disgusting.
that was Zolder 1982
Why is Damon Hill in this video?
It was 82, not 79 and Mass was never tipped to be anything other than a Journeyman driver, a very Number 2 in F1

Fittingly an AI narrator for a careless, probably AI generated jumble of only vaguely factual or outright inaccurate "facts".
A bucketload of crap. The claim that this video is based on reliable sources is risible.

Remordimiento o algo así? No, estos alemanes sonas fríos que el acero.
This video are not true at all.
