I finally escaped that place this past June. It was absolutely horrific down there. A friend of mine lost her arm from the tranq and is still down there. I nearly lost my leg from it. The detox was out of this world. I’m back in college and have my own apartment now. I’m able to be there for my family and friends now instead of taking from them. I never want to go back.

10 years ago I was one of them...a junkie on the streets looking for my next dope hit to not be sick. I luckily got out and got clean and watching this now just makes me want to go out and save everyone :(
❤,Good on you Lyndz, I'm watching this from the UK,in the comfort of my little flat,I was stuck in addiction, Heroin, and everything else, except meth, and fent, hope you don't mind me asking, but we're you taking fent,if so is the sickness any worse, physically than Heroin, also I bet you want to help, but unfortunately unfortunately hands are tied, when you got clean I'm guessing it was your choice, no 1 wants to be amongst that world, even when we are in it,look after yourself, and pray for them, there's levels to life, and that lifestyle us just ON TOP,take care of yourself and may the good force be with you😢❤
You should not be saving people, there should be institutions for that, that should have also been there for you, but there's no dollars to be made in that, huh?
was out there myself in 2019,but in the UK.I think this will be a common sight on the streets here eventually, there does seem to be some link between the agendas being put forward by powerful people & the culling of the poor, the weak & sick.As you said, this could happen to anyone & as we know,it always gets worse.Thank god for sobriety.
@chaosandisorder68 hi I'm from the UK, do you gave any idea why the government is allowing this to get so bad,yes it can get worse, doesn't look that way, from where I'm sitting mind, we have problems over here, but it really is on another level ON TOP,so sad I just don't understand, there's 5o,driving past just letting it happen happen, it's like an island for the damned it's sad,and bad,God bless, everyone was once a child clean and pure, now look,it's like a green light to basically commit suicide, AWFUL 😢❤
Well done, mate, for being clean for 6 years. I take my hat off to you for doing so. Keep Faith in God, and he will see you through your cleansing of drugs. Sending you my congratulations from the United Kingdom 🇬🇧.
@@stuff1784 rehab only lasts for a few weeks, at least here in the Netherlands. And getting rid of an addiction, especially an opioid addiction takes a lot longer. For the brain it takes at least 3 years to adjust to having to go without the neurotransmitter coming from heroine or in this case fentanyl. From what I understand about the healthcare service in America I think it's pretty tough to get into a rehab facility so I guess it's almost impossible for a homeless, broke and probably not having a healthcare insurance to get help. It's a circle which is very difficult to get out of. Maybe it's better to ask why so many people are getting addicted in the first place and go from there.
⚠️WARNING ⚠️ Long Post Ahead With Many Questions. If Anyone Would Be Willing To Provide Their Perspective & Their Own Knowledge OR Experience I'd Be So Appreciative. Every profession in these areas has to be exhausted and overwhelmed. Paramedics, doctors, funeral homes, coroners, medical examiners, police officers, people who are trying to run a business and make a living, residents who live/work in these areas, mental health professionals, counselors, rehabs, safe houses, homeless shelters, street crews/city street cleaners (it looks so unkept), city workers, repair people who service these areas, bus drivers, taxi cab drivers, UBER drivers, parking ramp owners and operators, those who monitor camera systems and retrieve achieved footage for insurance claims, the court system, jails, judges, court reporters, any job pertaining to the judicial system, pastors, preachers, teachers, security personnel, ANYONE who enters these zones is unsafe! Everyone, even those who are homeless on these streets. I am not saying all of this to be derogatory, cruel, vile, nasty, or mean. I am actually trying to understand this 😢 When did it became so damn awful? Timeline? The overall history, specific to the area? Primarily what age group are those "living" on these streets? The Baby Boomers (born 1946-1964)? Gen. X (born 1965-1980)? Millennial's ( born 1981-1996)? What went wrong during these era's to cause a significant rise to homelessness/mental illness and illegal drug use? Is it how these people were raised as babies/children? Were a majority abused and are trying to escape their past? Born with pre-dispositions to mental illness/drug addiction? Lack of a mother or father - maybe both? Do many have PTSD from fighting in war? Is it lack of resources, educational opportunities, not having financial means/resources to live in housing and maintain a job? Job insecurity? Is it disability and not knowing how or where to apply/receive benefits and to contine applying, even if denied? Lack of proper medical care with a health problem which then leds them down this path of self medicating to self destruction? Lack of love, care, support from an early age? Neglect? Closing of nearly any/all mental health institutions and/or mental hospitals? Refusal of help from anyone? Denial? Financial? In no way am I excusing what they are doing and what they are NOT doing... just trying to understand IF anyone has looked into the WHY of it all???? All of the who, what, where, when, why, how questions. 🤔 The possible solutions? I understand everyone's situation is unique to them however there may be some patterns to learn from and gain perspective. This is becoming much worse, not better. It's unsettling, unnerving, disturbing, severely unhealthy, and alarming. 🚨 VERY ALARMING. 🚨During this video I caught myself holding my breath several times due to what I presume is anxiety, a feeling of unease... but I want to at least try to understand the root causes of this growing epidemic. Thank you in advance to anyone who read my long post and for providing any reasonable explanations to my questions? I'm mostly wondering if there is a pattern to this? Is there a #1 cause?
This is the first time a video left me with goosebumps at the end. The amount of untreated mental illness out there is absolutely out of control at this point. If that city doesn’t get a handle on that part of town soon, it’s going to become even more of a Warzone. Unreal Philadelphia.
The USA is living a mental health crisis. Healthcare is not affordable or easily accessible. Once Reagan shut down the state funded mental hospitals, it was a wrap for the USA.
What's strange is they normalize it. I was visiting there and asked my Uber driver about Kensington and the zombies, etc. He said Kensington is normal and no different than anywhere else. He was born and raised there and didn't travel to see that most of the US is NOT like that.

It's almost as if there used to be hospitals to care for the mentally ill in the USA. And it's almost as if someone decided it would be a good idea to close those hospitals down. So just imagine if that had happened, where would those people go? Now a large number of those mentally ill get to call the streets home.
Those State Hospitals do ONE thing really well. They get sick people off of the streets and out of our site. There is a reason, or probably several reasons why they were shut down though. State is always trying to cut costs. So you put these poor people in the Looney bin, you pump them full of other, even more exotic drugs, and you hire the cheapest labor force known to man to babysit these people. Next thing you know the State is being sued for every type of abuse and torture you can imagine. Just check out the corruption in our State/private prisons. Female inmates turning up pregnant, pounds of heroin in circulation. I don't think our Governor would even entertain the idea of State Looney bins with our terrible history on the subject.

Has anyone noticed that before the war in Afghanistan we had a pill epidemic, we went to war in the middle east and suddenly heroin was cheap and everywhere. Once we ended the war and left Afghanistan ; heroin was swiftly and temporarily replaced by low grade Mexican tar. Until.... fentanyl miracolosly arrived and innondated the whole north America and Canada. Wonder why?
Not true. Heroin has been cheap and plentiful for decades and decades. Way before the Afghan war. Mexican tar is on the west coast. You don’t see that stuff at all on the East coast. Now it’s not heroin anymore anyway; it’s all fentanyl. You can’t even find heroin if you wanted to and if you did it’s not even strong enough because people are addicted to fentanyl which is 50-100 times stronger. People actually get disappointed when they get heroin if they have a fentanyl habit because it’s just like taking an aspirin.

People act in a strange way on drugs, but few things from someone living in the south, comparing the drug place in the US with the city I live (Sao Paulo, Brazil): 1 - addicts in Kensigton are relatively well dressed, good shoes, some with very Ok shirts (saw that guy wearing a new Nike shirt, that in Brazil is something for the middle class & high) ... 2 - there are some businesses in the streets where the addicts stay - here, this would be impossible, addicts would create so much confusion, place would become dangerous and no client would go there. 3 - some people walking with babies and relatively nice cars in the streets - I would not recomend these 2 things here - walking alone would be a problem, with a baby a problem 100x bigger ... and would never drive a good car close to our drug places, unless it is bullet proof (and there are a lot of bullet proof cars here in the city) .... MY CONCLUSION ABOUT KENSINGTON: COULD BE WORSE.

Can you imagine how exhausted the paramedics are? 😢
Can you imagine how exhausted addicted people are? 😢
@@amorphousalienblob Yes, but they won’t go to rehab so what can you do
@@stuff1784 rehab only lasts for a few weeks, at least here in the Netherlands.
Good shout brother, I'm in the UK, I'm just speechless to what is going on out there, good luck to you and all you love 😢❤
⚠️WARNING ⚠️
Long Post Ahead With Many Questions.

Two words.....Ronald Reagan!
@@Allhoney33 what does that even mean?
@@joshuaedwards3322 Ronald Reagan deinstitutionalized mental healthcare during his presidency. Effectively dumping mental illness people on the streets or in jails. If you're from that era, you saw the immediate change after Reagan did that.
Really sad because people were discharged on the streets with zero long-term mental healthcare, nor access to any long-term mental health care because mental health institutions were closed down. What Americans got were expensive, short-term outpatient care that was only affordable to the middle classed and rich. It got worse and worse and here we are!
Great content! Please more this is the best photoaged of Kensington!
So many Humans live in misery, if you're not one of them then count it as a blessing
This misery has always existed. We are more aware of it than previous generations because we can personally document it via cellphones.
You’re a brave man for venturing out like this, especially at night. Where are the police?
at Dunkin' Donuts or Krispy Kremes
The police don't care - they are just happy all of them are staying in the Kensington area, and not other parts of the city. They did the same thing in the city of Vancouver, Canada. All "these types" are banished to one part of the neighborhood - no police enforcement unless there is a crime involving violence.
That's the million dollar question... Because They are getting PAID ...🤔...ALL OF THE CORRUPTION.😡
The police are instructed not to mess with them, but in emergencies, or a large drug bust. There are articles online that will fill you in on it!!
Making sure rich people feel safe
Discreet and great shooting angle. I wish you luck and more subscribers! Greetings from Croatia :)
The part where the ice cream truck(?) is playing it's playful bell tune was so freaking *CLOWN WORLD!* Totally surreal, as if an added back-audio track - but it was real - and it was absolutely crazy. The guy who hit that other car was obviously in no condition to drive, so he parks his car, leaves the lights on, takes his stuff and walks away after saying "I can't get caught with this." Every one of these stories are sad and the lady having her stuff stolen by that dude. She tried to fight him off and he kept pickin' and kept wearin' her down.
Dude that ice cream truck scene was amazing
I follow a channel that goes and interviews these people down there and that creepy icecream song is in so many videos, it's always there. It's so creepy and haunting to hear that in the background, especially while you're listening to all these peoples stories
@@PrettyGhostX Do you know the name of the channel? I love watching the interviews. I watch a channel called soft white underbelly- he interviews on Skid Row
@@stephk.9618The name is AML Films, his name is Mal Lewis. He has had drug problems himself, now he's clean. He lived in an apartment in Kensington and started to interview people there. He lives somewhere else now because as you can imagine, it isn't the place that anyone wants to live.
But he's very caring and their's many people he has interviewed and many comes back and does follow ups.
Check it out
Yo no joke this video was done so well!! The dude running past ice cream truck music still playing was amazing
I don't think I ever seen such a organic feeling video with great timing
I feel that man's pain in the beginning. I dropped my cell phone and it broke so I had to buy a new one and then two months later that one broke and then I bought a new one and it's already got a crack in it
stop being clumsy
You’re the best coverage of the Fetty pandemic; your shots are amazing thank you for your work!
In my drinking/drugging days I always locked myself away for weeks at a time in my house with all the curtains drawn and both telephones and doorbell disconnected,I don`t understand why these people want to do it in public.
They don't want to. Well I'm sure some prefer being homeless but most don't have the choice nor luxury of locking themselves away in their home.
American Drug Narcomafia Gang Corporation
😡😡😡
Oh the maid was in the house that weekend
Do you not understand what homeless is? Yeah, they all just left their mansions and came down to Kensington to get high in public. You think they want to be out in public? Most of them the streets IS their home. Believe me, nobody wants to sleep on a sidewalk in February. They have no other choice. You were just lucky enough to have a roof over your head. I swear, the freaking privilege some people have is ridiculous.
Same I would never ever feel confortable doing drugs in the streets like this glad I’m sober
Wonder why?
Heroin was cheap and plentiful in Kensington since the 60's. Although it was also a Asian war that helped it get here.
You could start by considering biden's open border policy.
@@dongall6224 and what policy is that? What is the name of the bill passed by congress that Biden signed says that the border is open? Or could it be that Congress has refused to agree to any sort of bipartisan comprehensive immigration reform which leaves Biden’s hands tied. Biden even reenacted Ttump’s Title 42 bill to immediately throw any illegal immigrants out of the country but it expired and Congress refused to pass any new legislation. Congress has also voted against giving more money to expand border security at the border, but okay, now tell me how it’s Biden’s fault when Congress is the one who has to pass any bills before it gets to his desk. It’s incredible how ignorant people are to how laws are passed. You might want to review the Schoolhouse Rock song again.
What is fentanyl?
The ice cream truck is so creepy watching these videos
Yeah the ice is meth
It's like something out of a David Lynch movie.

That’s my neighborhood my grandmothers both of them their houses are 6 and 8 blocks from Kensington and Allegheny. Like a lot of my friends oxy’s started it off few times a week then the addicted mind sets in. Took me 15 years to put down dope. I got 3 years off that shit and I don’t wish it on my worst enemy. I work for a treatment center and see all walks of life Rich not so Rich it don’t matter
Kensington addict demographic absolutely changed over the year's.
Yeah, the good ole' chronic alcoholic seemed to have dried up and blew away. They looked bad, but at least they didn't have drug induced necrotising rotting wounds and flesh eating disease.
I can’t stand those idiots on dirt bikes, they caused so much accidents.
It seem like they own the streets..
@@Outdoor-Adventures exactly, they think they are so cool , they are a bunch of jerks, I can’t stand them.
They do own the streets. When they are around. 🏍
Old ladies or gentlemen driving who should not, teens without care, foreign non English drivers piss me off. Humans in general.😅
We have bleeding hearts here that keep them fed and clothed so the addicts can save their cash for The Priority: dope.
And the way democrats are leading our major cities down the toilet are doing their best to make your prophesy come true.
@@eyeoftheleopardleopard8829 why cannot they stop this addiction?
The priority seems to be foreign aid and illegal aliens, while this type of misery spreads across the nation
Well, weve had this problem for decades...glad you just recognized it

Absolutely insane this video needs more awareness 😮
This is one of hundreds of Kensington videos

This is reason why some country have death penalty for drug trafficking.
This really hit me hard, he looks just like my brother who was addicted to drugs. Most days I say screw them, if they do it then they deserve what comes to them, but today it makes so sad. I wish people would see life as a gift and not throw themselves away. We all have hard times, but it's not our destiny to be struggling and dealing with things like this forever until death:(
Life is a gift, but good jobs can be hard to come by and dirty corporate politics dominate. So what is a man to do? Gotta keep fighting..
Guessing your religious… Pressuring others to follow your beliefs and religious practices is why most atheists distance themselves away from religion. Your perspective on life’s meaning and purpose isn’t what everyone else is going to believe.
Omg stfu! No I’m not, just like you… I don’t like people pushing their religious and sexual agendas on me! I’m stating as a general person with empathy! Find some!!😒
This is insane!! 🙏🏾
Motorcycles just run the red light and the motorists have to take it 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I saw that too! 😃 🤣
It's bad enough to be homeless but even worse if your out of your mind.
Das mag vielleicht so sein, aber....wer den Verstand verliert, der nimmt das Elend nicht mehr wahr....was ist nun besser?
Ich weiß es nicht!
This was brilliantly filmed and edited...keep up your stellar work. ❤
So so depressing.
All I can do is recite a Buddhist prayer..
May everyone be happy
May everyone be free from misery
May no one be ever be separated from their happiness
May everyone have equanimity free from hatred and attachment
I pray to our creator. Not a man. God. Buddah was just a guy. No diss. Just fyi. Buddah is not the Creator.😊

Because the mainstream media is in denial!!
It's been on the news, terrible epidemic.
In my personal opinion. I have seen people stoned, or drunk. I have never seen people this damaged. They are probably beyond ever being a functioning, active, happy, self supporting citizen, ever AGAIN. They will never be able to hold a job. I should say, 90-95%.
No they are not. Many post this fact.😊
Dont total your car down in Kensington!! LOVED the analogy 👌 😮
thank you for helping that lady bro
Thank you Pres. Xi, for all the goodies!!

Its so sad to see normal people scared to just exist
Those guys on quads and motorbikes are dealers?
Probably, and also look for crowds of them busily gathered around with big smiles, probably a dealer there.
Imagine owning property here. I would be livid at how this is allowed to go on. Sickening.
This isn’t NEW. With social media, we just see it now. It’s sad it has gone on for so long. I remember these same basic things from the 80’s- over 40 years ago.
I am addicted for many years now. But I am glad I don't live in America because seeing the state of addicted people there is heartbreaking. Thanx that fentanyl is not on the streets here!
That fool said, "Sir you gotta gimme $20 or im gonna take everything from you."
Sht gave me NYC flashbacks. LOL!
And people call me crazy for wanting to live in the middle of know where away from any city yeah I'm the crazy one
They are, for the most part, absolutely separate from each other. Drugs are about selfishness, that's what addiction is. Enough people like this and the government will be free to do exactly as it likes.
