i’m so glad you didn’t feel pressured by us and that you decided to listen to this album on your own time. it makes you appreciate it so much more! please keep going at your own pace because even after a long time txt never disappoints. their music has been described as whimsical and that description has never really left my mind for them! also that ‘itchy’ feeling they are describing in rollercoaster can be seen as nerves, butterflies, or the anticipatory feeling when doing something that is scary but exciting at the same time like going on a date for the first time, kissing someone you like, or riding a rollercoaster and you are on the edge of the first dip of it. it’s like the buzzing under your skin from excitement
Most MOAs think that Poppin' Star is about a first kiss. When someone tries popping candy for the first time, they get surprised ( like how a first kiss is surprising). The lyrics start to make sense when you read it knowing that the song is about the feeling of a first kiss and the feelings that follow. I hope this helped!!

also there is candy that sizzles in your mouth, or pop, if you just use a different word. I feel like this song and roller coaster have the worst lyric translations because they don't make sense unless you consider the context. Like itchy in roller coaster is not literal

this album holds a special place in my heart bc it was my very first kpop comeback - i got into kpop with bts boy with love then txt was the second group i became a fan of and it was just in time for the runaway comeback. when i say i had this album on REPEAT for about 2 month?! i even woke up at 4 am for this comeback show. so i love getting to re-experience this album with other people, so thank you for the reaction
I believe "so itchy" was a bad translation to describe the tingle feeling you get at the top of the roller coaster if I'm not mistaken lol. I'm not sure if they've ever mentioned it
Yeah, same. I've always thought of it as that nervous feeling of anticipation before something happens, like the drop of a rollercoaster or the nervousness/"tingly" feeling someone can get when they just start liking someone.

i think poppin star is probably about kissing and how its an exciting new experience when you're young! but it's definitely very metaphorical so its up to interpretation! also fun fact, that song is Very popular with lgbtq moas in particular because of a couple of the lyrics lol 🏳️🌈

I just wanna share how TXT has a theme with each album release they have. These theme usually revolve around on relatable occurenced and coming of age situations usually experienced by people of their or anyone's generation. Thid album in particular centered around on the theme of the adventurous side that one would feel with friends like the rebelling and carefree nature the songs in this album have given. Im blabbering about too much, but this is one of my favorite releases from them. Hope you'd try listening to some of them. I love your vids and they’ve been keeping me so happy 😊

I think all txt members has unique vocal tone and each of them are specialised in something like
Soobin - the falsetto king and another powerful factor is his breathy tone which is soothing to ears
Yeonjun- his vocal tone is something you could recognise even on a big choir ,he can belt high note and spit fire rapping
Beomgyu - if you need a deep and soothing voice on a song Beomgyu is the best choice ,like his voice is deep but its really calming and soothing to ears
Taehyun- very clear and powerful voice which is exactly needed for choruses ,and about his vocal skills & abilities it does not need any further eplanation ,taehyun the vocal king
Hueningkai - a member who has lot of different sides to his vocals ,like he could go from deep to high pitch tone ,his skills are unexpected and always surprising ,has a powerful vocal tone but also has a little bit sweetness to it

Oh YES! I love this album so much.
Roller coaster is as other MOA have commented about 1. riding a roller coaster and the tingle you get in your stomach as you drop down 2. potentially the excited butterflies in your stomach you get from romance but also 3. I'm fairly certain this is about going to Magic Island. We've seen them literally leap off clips, jump across the ocean, and fall from the sky multiple times. I interpret poppin' star as a song about a challenger mentality. What I mean is like when you taste something really sour it's almost like electrifying. In the teasers for this album they boys exchange text messages and they talk about trying something more and more extreme. I think it's kind of an extension of what was talked about in New Rules. In the context of the story, the game, and magic -- they want to keep pushing the boundaries and getting a higher high and feeling bigger thrills. They want to see how far they can take their magical powers.

We actually have a performance and dance practice for Rollercoaster and Popping Star :) i would highly recommend the dance practices (even if you watch it in your own time), they are so satisfying.

actually the part 'so itchy' where u said u was confused by the meaning there, it is actually the korean title of the song which is ganjireowo (itchy). there is also a live performance for it! and the members parts are not the same like in the lyrics video there. for example, 1st chorus is soobin then taehyun, 2nd chorus is taehyun then beomgyu and the last chorus is back to soobin then taehyun. same goes for poppin' star
FYI. Hueningkai is 1 of the song writer for Roller Coaster. He actually afraid of height especially & he especially afraid get on roller coaster. He is the youngest songwriter registered for KOMCA at that time (I think now the youngest is 1 member from girl group but he still the youngest for male song writer). He was only 17 (international age) when this album came out.
By the way, the starting for Poppin Star is Hueningkai & follow by Beomgyu. You should watch the dance practice. It's the cutest choreo from them in my opinion.
Moas are so lucky that all of these songs have choreography to them now…feel free to watch them when you get around to it as we still don’t want you to be pressured but I recommend TXT’s Studio Choom for New Rules and the dance practice for Poppin Star and Rollercoaster!
