I feel like a lot of TXT's early music is like ideal "friendship montage" music. Like you're listening to it and you can imagine it being overlayed on a montage of you and your friends over the course of a summer.
the contrast between this minisode to minisode 2 is INSANE

girl don't let me start talking about wishlist, how it creates one of the most amazing atmosphere in kpop songs i've ever heard, the lyrics and vocal performances, the production, the rock elements like it's that song which gets a music video with a montage with the best moments of the tour... like, i can't it's just top notch

honestly 2020 was a hard yr for everyone, txt being just a year into their career lost their chances into meeting moas on tour because of covid, everyone just lost their summer due to lockdown. this album was just EVERYTHINGG and I loved your reaction to it caitlin !!
we lost the summer hit me so hard when it came out literally in the thick of the pandemic, the feels and just how good the song is... such an experience (ps I hope you can go back and watch the MV when you have time)

this whole album is my comfort album, i always listen to this album whenever i need a cry or when i don’t wanna feel lonely. i’m really grateful for txt and their beautiful lyrics that they wrote for each songs on this album :( they’re the only group that i’d do anything for, i’m so lucky i found them. and what makes this even sadder is that the members went through such a difficult time when this album was released (mid pandemic)because of how lonely they felt since they couldn’t see moas, they said they lost motivation in performing since everywhere they looked it was empty :(

I’m so proud of this album of theirs. No matter how much albums they make, Minisode 1 will always have a spot in my heart. It just has a different feels to it. It sounds sentimental, fresh, youthful, and whimsical. I love it! I’m glad you loved it too. My favorite from this album is Wishlist, which is also a surprise from me because I didn’t know I’ll like it this much when I first heard the album preview.
This album is still one of my favorites to go back to, also the MV's for way home and we lost the summer are fantastic

I just wanted to say something about the thing that some moas were saying they don't want people who don't know most of the txt songs except the very popular once to go to the concert and I understand why. We just want to give the boys the best crowd for their first world tour. Ofcourse some may not know all the songs and the fanchants (it's okay to not know the fanchants but atleast to sing along the songs) but the boys themselves said they will be happy to hear it, they even said it's okay to get it wrong. (Trust me there are many people with tickets but can't even name one member and only knows blue hour😬)
But you totally deserve to go, you took a lot of effort to listen to all of their songs before going to the concert. I really really appreciate it!

when/if you react to one of their Japanese songs "Force" i hope you watch it on the first take! it sounds just as good as the recorded version (maybe even better than it!!) their vocals in that song are INSANE
also, if you watch it on first take, you wont have the issue of lyric videos messing up which member is singing when!!! :D

Why I'm so late? omg. Just wanted to say, this EP is 100 percent bop! I can't imagine how much I listened to Wishlist, it was an instant favorite and still is. This chapter of TXT made me see the other part of myself, as the album speaking for it. As the members imparts their works and the message that resonates within me continuously making my heart beat the same time of my first listening of all the songs. Ghosting and Wishlist are like a twin for me, they are so precious to me. WLTS really said f COVID, Blue Hour is like fantasy, or funny if you will (insert Beomgyu mimicking Yeonjun's part).... Way Home is so perfect before the sunset, literally Blue Hour, I usually gaze up the sky when this song plays, and I see gradient of orange to blue.
if you know txt, you know we gonna get an r&b vibe song, way home is the perfect ending of this masterpiece
their musics are like Indie rock.especially Ghosting is near to Shoegazer.
I got so excited listening to this album again with you!!! It is such an experience listening to every song in order, this album is just so beautifully put together, as you said everything fits perfectly. It makes me feel very nostalgic because this album was my first comeback with them, it was truly magical, I will never forget the first time I listened to blue hour and then the rest of the songs, it was very healing and it still is. The more I listen to it the more I love it. I recommend you watch their mv for we lost the summer, it is really cool and it potrays perfectly the pandemic times. I hope they do sing wishlist at the concert, it is so cool that you are going!!!! I really hope they come to my country some day, I am from Argentina (pls big hit I am begginnn). We Lost the Summer is definitely deeply related to the pandemic. I love how the lyrics really capture the feeling of early COVID days by getting at how it hit at the end of winter and completely disrupted summer bc we couldn't really see the people we loved and then all the sudden it's winter again and it just feels like we've circled back and gone nowhere at all. This is also shown in the choreo as they make a lot of circular movements and end in the position they started in to represent this everpresent feeling. They also make lots of references to the "endless day of March 1st" since that's when the covid stuff really hit in Korea and just everything about feeling lovesick with no vaccine, hating their expressionless face behind their mask, and wanting to go back to the summertime we used to enjoy just hits very close to home. Not to mention We Lost the Summer is a very sad sequel to Our Summer on their debut album where they said "no matter what season, as long as we're together, feels like summer" and with the pandemic we cant even be together so what now

i'm a blue hour moa so minisode 1 has a v special place in my heart. we lost the summer and wishlist are def my favorite ones from this ep they're legit bangers.
I think this is my favorite album from them but they have so many great songs in their discography already... It is hard hahaha But Wishlist has been one of my top songs from them.
But anyway, this was an amazing album and I'm glad you had time to check it out and enjoy it :)

Thank you for listening to Sweat in advance. FYI, that song is written by all 5 of them when they were still trainee and they released same time as TDC Eternity album. MOA is really protective of this song because we make a promise to them.

- Wishlist is my fav song to sing while driving. Hands down. Huening Kai, Yeonjun & Taehyun participate in writing this song. Hueningkai does love writing song with this kind concert vibe.
- Way Home. Ok based on news article when this album came out, the song genre is called "Future R&B" so you are not far off when u say R&B vibe. They performed this song as closing song during this year Fanlive (Notes: Fanlive is annual event during TXT anniversary week where it's like fanmeeting + concert). 1 part of this song Soobin saw 1 moa cried and all of sudden he cried too. The lyric is really sad too..it tells a story ..u have been separate but u hope when u meet the other person still remember u

I've been binging Thursdays Child and Freeze so much lately and hadn't listened to this in while. I almost forgot how gorgeous it is. A whole album of sad bops. Yeah We Lost the Summer has a MV and it's much clearer in the MV that it's very much plague related. The MV features them on zoom calls with eachother, and occupying themselves in their bedrooms, things being closed, masks etc.

It was during Blue Hour promotions that I found TXT. It was late 2020 and it was a great freaking album for healing at that time. I always love that even though their lyrics are sad but in the end always hopefully.

We lost the summer is mainly about Covid! If you watch the mv it’s even more clear, right after summer time, nobody got to be with friends and txt lost the opportunity to meet moas 💚 that’s why I’m so happy they get to tour now, they deserve it!
