@egbcrushers Yep. One of the doors on each double set has the built-in bridge plate for wheelchair access. That door also does not have a trap for low platforms. The reasoning behind the double was to speed boarding as well.
Anyone know why Septa has two doors on the B end of the silverliner 5. Wouldn't the space for the second door be better used for seating or bathrooms. If nothing else,it looks dumb! Nice horns though
+steven nicholas Most Of Them Are Diesel Electric Locomotives (Excluding BB 204). But Diesel Hydraulics Are From Europe (Excluding CC 300). Electric Locomotive Currently Are Only 1 Remaining From Dutch Era And From Europe. Electric Units Mostly From Japan (Excluding KRLI, KfW i9000, Holec AC, ABB-Hyundai, Holec & ARS Soekarno Hatta). Local Industries (PT INKA) Only Few Unit Diesel Mover, Electric Mover & All Of Passenger & Freight Cars Around Indonesia.
First off, those Vs are the ugliest things to roll on rails, but their horns aren't too bad. But the Wabco horns on the Budds will always be the best for sentimental reasons.
Ive lived in Lansdale my whole life and yet its hard to believe that this is what it looked like only 13 years ago
Nothing beats the Silverliner II & the WABCO AA-II Horn I want one for My SUV
Love the horns on the V's!
@egbcrushers

Love all these fouled horns, some are Wabco AA2's and others Leslie RS2M's.
We were supposed to get the silverliner 5 in 2005 but it didn't happen
Most of the trains I rode were Silverliner IVs. Haven't riden on V yet.
That sounds like a Broad Street Subway horn quote about silverliner 3 and silverliner 2
It's the same horn (Wabco AA-2)
We lost car 144 on August 29, 2018 in an electrical fire at Glenside.
And 143, which was paired to 144
@@eamonmahoney9466 143 was saved and another unit in the 290 series was renumbered to 144 and paired to 143
@@railfan_mike.t6334 that’s what I’ve heard

At 2:10 the train has a chocked horn, but damn those S-V's have great horns!
@boberttrain831 I think I heard somewhere that they're K3Ls or something.
Lansdale Station at Lansdale, PA.
The horn at 1:59 sounds sort of like a dying trumpet... 3:39 is... Interesting. XD

@DeltaPhi79 Yep
SL2 & SL3 sound like BSL horns
E. Marquise Sanders Yes and I can hear them from my house about 2 miles away from Lansdale Station .. Wish I could've gotten one for my Car! Lol
+Mario Romano Just Like Me, My House About 2 Miles Away From Bekasi Station And Hear During 3AM - 6AM
They're the same - WABCO AA-2
Silverliner 2 as CC 201 and Silverliner 3 as CC 203
Yafie A Raihan Productions they have the same horn. The WABCO AA2. So do the NJ Transit Arrow 3s.
Nice horns on the Silverliner Vs. Though the older-cast K3LAs sound better.
