Because I'm a nerd, I did the calculation...Between the 3000 rupees in donations and the 598 rupee price tag, then using the results from my video, the MAGIC ARMOR would be worth: $48,545,830,602.50 TOTALLY WORTH IT!
I always got kind of annoyed at oot for just getting rid of the fairy ocarina. In the manga ganondorf mistakes it for the ocarina of time and leaves the actual behind for link to pick up so at least there's a reason for losing it.
I mean, in the OOT manga, it's revealed that Ganondorf took the Fairy Ocarina, mistaking it for the Ocarina of Time and shattered it in his rage of realizing the mistake. So...

Incidentally, the Giant’s Knife doe just as much damage when broken, though its range is minimal. Also, the broken one absolutely shreds Dark Link, apparently due to his AI not accounting for the blade’s different shape.

Tbf Twilight Princess is the most generous with its Rupees out of any other Zelda, and they're super easy to get. Especially if you defeat all the Poes that lets you meet a cat that gives you an infinite amount of Rupees.

It's just dawned on me! The Magic Armour from TP is a Sonic reference! It's gold, powered by currency, makes you invincible whilst it has power, turns blue without power and you're not as fast in its powered down state, as you are in its powered UP state!
I think that Sheik, and impa actually just stun link then run away. maybe he can't actually remember anything when he's stunned. and for him, it just looks like a flash of light then they're gone

Personally I consider the horse whistle (forgot what it's actually called in-game) that Ilia gives you after you rescue her in Twilight Princess a runner-up in this list. While being able to call your horse from pretty much anywhere is nice in of itself, you'd really only need her to travel across the vast overworld, the effect can be easily replicated with horseshoe-shaped grass all over said overworld, and by the time you get Ilia's whistle, you're far enough in the game where you can just have Midna warp you to wherever you need to go.
TickedOff Priest i'd say plenty match or beat it in pointlessness. you can buy a bomb bag before getting the blast mask (or the upgrade right after), making it pointless. half the masks serve no purpose beyond the quest they are tied to, you even have to pay 500 rupies for access to the all night mask, which gives you half the reward the giant's can aid in getting while not altering combat at all. even if it's for one fight and is optional, you can't really say its the most pointless mask, though i don't intend to change your mind.
zetsubou1v1 Says you. Because the shield protects you from the Blast Mask's attack, I did not need a single bomb during the entire course of the game. (Save for powder kegs and the bombchu for the the moon dungeon.

+James Lynn MatPat did theater in high school (and I think college too), and was definitely a "theater kid," so he knows a thing or two about playing a role. Which led to this working so well. They did great.
I wish the magic meter wasn't cut from Twilight Princess. It's even in a screenshot on the back cover. Even though the magic armor isn't that good, you have to admit it looks great. If there was a PC version of the game, I'd definitely use a mod to have the normal clothes look like that.
pdragon619 True, but even then, you'd have to go back and refill all the time. I don't particularly care for the damage protection, save for a couple scenarios, but the look of the armor is exquisite.
6:24 In regards to the Telescope, there is ONE very useful use for it. Those gulls that fly over Big Octos are sometimes incredibly hard to see (and not all of them are pointed out by the telescope guy) so using the telescope to find them is actually very important.

In the comic ( or manga ) of ocarina of time links ocarina is taken by Ganondorf as he thinks its the ocarina of time. Soon realizing its not he brakes it. Surprised at lack of Mention for the Circus Leaders Mask, which truely was 100% Useless until the VERY end of the game...where you trade it in for the Fierce Deity's Mask
+DreadzKaiser In the original MM you get an extra cutscene where Cremia hugs you, it IS however useless on the 3DS version where they for whatever reason removed it (don't ask me why, it's not like ahug is considered non child friendly right?). Both versions gives you 200 rupees tough you can easily farm that up in Ikana castle

You eventually run out of things to spend rupees on and this just helps you from having to leave behind all those excess rupees.

I think the wallets are made to stop inflation, i mean rupees are EVERYWHERE. So unless you want to pay 200 000 rupees for 10 arrows i think wallets are ok
+Arthur Nosenko The Gamepad can be configured to work on a windows pc over bluetooth with some funky work arounds. Then on PC you can configure it as a "xbox 360 controller" and use it in Dolphin Wii / Gamecube Emulator (In TP's case Gamecube because Wii forces Wii controller)... Whilst not the case in this specific cut of the video since this is footage from the Wii version - it IS technically possible to play TP Gamecube with the Wii U Gamepad. #ForScience

I get my Goron Knife from the carpenter when I give him the saw. lol. And I only pay 200 rupees to Malo after I do that quest for one of the Elder Goron... but its SO ANNOYING! Trying to give his son a barrel of spring water while avoiding the baddies is annoying!!!!! Its like would you rather grind for rupees or avoid getting hit once or do it all over again!
Enemies never get near you in that quest. If you stay on the edge of the map and keep running, they don't even get close to you. I can do it in just one try.
I love using deku nuts! I used them all through ocarina of time 3D (before I lost my copy). It's pretty useful for getting hits on more difficult enemies
The worst thing about Saria's Ocarina, is that if you call Saria with her song with the Ocarina of Time, she will actually ask you if you are using a different Ocarina as she realizes that it sounds different. Poor Saria :(
The deku nuts are actually pretty handy: 1. Poes-If you use them against Poes when they disappear, they’ll immediately reappear, saving you from having to wait a cycle to attack them again (especially helpful in the Forest Temple) 2. Barrinade-If you use the deku nuts after you’ve stunned Barrinade with the boomerang, you can get rid of all the jellyfish he has around him with one deku nut instead of having to run around with your sword. Definitely not practical in a majority of situations, but they aren’t horrible…sometimes you just need nuts 😎

+MisterDutch93 All they'd have to do is take out the constant rupee draining effect. "Lose rupees instead of health when you get hit" isn't really game-breaking, especially when you consider what you need to do to get it.
Speedrunners use deku nuts quite a bit, they are really useful. They make the barinade fight so much easier too, as you can kill the jellyfish with them after you stun barinade. Not to mention uses with setups like ganondoor (wrong warp from deku tree to ganon's castle to finish the game in under 18 minutes) and overall making stalfos fights easier. They are also useful for putting fun items on B like Farore's Wind (this breaks the game hardcore), the hammer, and even the longshot with a glitch called bottle adventure. They are actually a really great item if you know how to use it right.
Brodire2012 I don't speedrun the game all that often and I use deku nuts quite a bit. They make stalfos fights super easy and really shorten the barricade fight.
+Kirk0007 Most people don't consider CD-i games as true Zelda games, and I think that's what he meant was true Zelda games. Wand of Gamelon and Faces of Evil were not developed by Nintendo and aren't on the official timeline, so most people just ignore them.
Mlpfanboy PH and ST were bad because you had to constantly go back to a certain place, do the entire dungeon again and again while avoiding those creepy phantom knights. ST was worst bcos yes, the shitty flute and how I cant remember a single song from it and PH allowed you to explore the ocean but in ST, it was pretty fixed.
2:01 speed runners use Deku nuts all the time to stun enemies, they also make the Poe sisters become visible again, they kill bubbles in jabu, kill barinades jellyfish, and are just amazing
+Gmaniac01 I actually didn't mind the Magic Armor in WWHD. I used it more than I did in the original anyway, seeing how that one constantly drained your magic power while you used it, while the one in HD only costed rupees when you got hit. To me it just made it more useful. But that's just me.

Gmaniac01 Skyward Sword had some parts I found a bit difficult, but other than that, yes they're all easy. (Then again after beating it I went to the sheikah stone and watched the way you were supposed to fight the last boss and realized I was doing it the hard way).
Gotta disagree with #1, I've actually found that rupees are completely useless in most Zelda games, and TP is no exception. At least the armor gave the inevitable maxing-out of rupees in my wallet some sort of purpose (and I put it to good use during the first part of the final battle).

GeorgeMonet Rupees don't *have* a purpose the entire game, except for that one upgrade (and perhaps one or two others I'm forgetting). Having a portion of your game be completely useless is just poor game design. Hence, the armor. And of course the armor is useless if you don't have its "fuel," just like the bow is useless if you don't have arrows, or the bomb bag is useless if you don't have bombs. And no, use of the armor isn't "heavily restricted." Rupees are everywhere and otherwise useless, meaning they stockpile in your wallet, meaning you always have at least some rupees to power the armor with. If you ask me it's a clever acknowledgement of a negative trend in Zelda game design (a series I adore I should add) that makes the problem a little better without altogether solving it (like Skyward Sword did).
+Archon Southpaw rupees are simply money. if you are well stocked, money is not an issue, if you need stock you use it. the problem comes in where most consumables like bombs arrows etc. can be found the same way that rupees can be found. by cutting grass and looking in chest. restrict these items to the market and dungeons and you make the rupees that much more nessisary for there base purpose.
Fun Fact: Apparently in Twilight Princess, the game was supposed to be have a magic bar similar to Wind Waker. And the magic armor was supposed to use that instead of rupees. But for some reason, that was crossed off before the release. (In the Wii copy at the back of the box, you should see Game pics with a magic bar.
Here's a tip for the rats in windwaker. The pink ones are the only ones that can be pleased and the blue rats that throw bombs are supposed to be like the real bombchus from Majora's mask and cannot be pleased.

Personally I consider the horse whistle (forgot what it's actually called in-game) that Ilia gives you after you rescue her in Twilight Princess a runner-up in this list.
While being able to call your horse from pretty much anywhere is nice in of itself, you'd really only need her to travel across the vast overworld, the effect can be easily replicated with horseshoe-shaped grass all over said overworld, and by the time you get Ilia's whistle, you're far enough in the game where you can just have Midna warp you to wherever you need to go.

TickedOff Priest i'd say plenty match or beat it in pointlessness. you can buy a bomb bag before getting the blast mask (or the upgrade right after), making it pointless. half the masks serve no purpose beyond the quest they are tied to, you even have to pay 500 rupies for access to the all night mask, which gives you half the reward the giant's can aid in getting while not altering combat at all.
even if it's for one fight and is optional, you can't really say its the most pointless mask, though i don't intend to change your mind.

I wish the magic meter wasn't cut from Twilight Princess. It's even in a screenshot on the back cover. Even though the magic armor isn't that good, you have to admit it looks great. If there was a PC version of the game, I'd definitely use a mod to have the normal clothes look like that.

6:24 In regards to the Telescope, there is ONE very useful use for it. Those gulls that fly over Big Octos are sometimes incredibly hard to see (and not all of them are pointed out by the telescope guy) so using the telescope to find them is actually very important.

In the comic ( or manga ) of ocarina of time links ocarina is taken by Ganondorf as he thinks its the ocarina of time. Soon realizing its not he brakes it. As for link he has the real one and not happy ( for a moment at least ) that the one he was given by his friend is gone. But hey that's just a comment a TH-cam comic I'm awkward bye!

In the manga adaptation of Ocarina Of Time the fairy ocarina is used to get away from Ganondorf and he thinks it’s the OOT and link gets to the temple of time and gets the master sword just saying
I like the magic armor! If nothing else it gives rupees a purpose after you've already bought everything you need.
I would have preferred if it didn't drain rupees and just reduced damage taken by 50% so I could wear it all the time because it looks cool.
+Agatharu Kryptonus I honestly don't think the point of the armor was to save health. Enemies are very easy to defeat in Twilight Princess. I think it was to get rid of Rupees. You eventually run out of things to spend rupees on and this just helps you from having to leave behind all those excess rupees.

I liked to put on the magic armor before cutscenes, especially at the end with Ganondorf. That way Link looks really fashionable during them.

Then on PC you can configure it as a "xbox 360 controller" and use it in Dolphin Wii / Gamecube Emulator (In TP's case Gamecube because Wii forces Wii controller)... Whilst not the case in this specific cut of the video since this is footage from the Wii version - it IS technically possible to play TP Gamecube with the Wii U Gamepad.

I get my Goron Knife from the carpenter when I give him the saw. lol. And I only pay 200 rupees to Malo after I do that quest for one of the Elder Goron... but its SO ANNOYING! Trying to give his son a barrel of spring water while avoiding the baddies is annoying!!!!! Its like would you rather grind for rupees or avoid getting hit once or do it all over again!

Enemies never get near you in that quest. If you stay on the edge of the map and keep running, they don't even get close to you. I can do it in just one try.
I love using deku nuts! I used them all through ocarina of time 3D (before I lost my copy). It's pretty useful for getting hits on more difficult enemies

The deku nuts are actually pretty handy:
1. Poes-If you use them against Poes when they disappear, they’ll immediately reappear, saving you from having to wait a cycle to attack them again (especially helpful in the Forest Temple)
2. Barrinade-If you use the deku nuts after you’ve stunned Barrinade with the boomerang, you can get rid of all the jellyfish he has around him with one deku nut instead of having to run around with your sword.
Definitely not practical in a majority of situations, but they aren’t horrible…sometimes you just need nuts 😎

Speedrunners use deku nuts quite a bit, they are really useful. They make the barinade fight so much easier too, as you can kill the jellyfish with them after you stun barinade. Not to mention uses with setups like ganondoor (wrong warp from deku tree to ganon's castle to finish the game in under 18 minutes) and overall making stalfos fights easier. They are also useful for putting fun items on B like Farore's Wind (this breaks the game hardcore), the hammer, and even the longshot with a glitch called bottle adventure. They are actually a really great item if you know how to use it right.

PH and ST were bad because you had to constantly go back to a certain place, do the entire dungeon again and again while avoiding those creepy phantom knights. ST was worst bcos yes, the shitty flute and how I cant remember a single song from it and PH allowed you to explore the ocean but in ST, it was pretty fixed.

They also make the midboss fight in the Great Bay Temple much easier. Those nuts cuts the length of the fight by a half.

+Gmaniac01 I actually didn't mind the Magic Armor in WWHD. I used it more than I did in the original anyway, seeing how that one constantly drained your magic power while you used it, while the one in HD only costed rupees when you got hit. To me it just made it more useful. But that's just me.

Skyward Sword had some parts I found a bit difficult, but other than that, yes they're all easy. (Then again after beating it I went to the sheikah stone and watched the way you were supposed to fight the last boss and realized I was doing it the hard way).

Gotta disagree with #1, I've actually found that rupees are completely useless in most Zelda games, and TP is no exception. At least the armor gave the inevitable maxing-out of rupees in my wallet some sort of purpose (and I put it to good use during the first part of the final battle).

Rupees don't *have* a purpose the entire game, except for that one upgrade (and perhaps one or two others I'm forgetting). Having a portion of your game be completely useless is just poor game design. Hence, the armor. And of course the armor is useless if you don't have its "fuel," just like the bow is useless if you don't have arrows, or the bomb bag is useless if you don't have bombs.
And no, use of the armor isn't "heavily restricted." Rupees are everywhere and otherwise useless, meaning they stockpile in your wallet, meaning you always have at least some rupees to power the armor with. If you ask me it's a clever acknowledgement of a negative trend in Zelda game design (a series I adore I should add) that makes the problem a little better without altogether solving it (like Skyward Sword did).
+Archon Southpaw rupees are simply money. if you are well stocked, money is not an issue, if you need stock you use it. the problem comes in where most consumables like bombs arrows etc. can be found the same way that rupees can be found. by cutting grass and looking in chest. restrict these items to the market and dungeons and you make the rupees that much more nessisary for there base purpose.

Fun Fact: Apparently in Twilight Princess, the game was supposed to be have a magic bar similar to Wind Waker. And the magic armor was supposed to use that instead of rupees. But for some reason, that was crossed off before the release. (In the Wii copy at the back of the box, you should see Game pics with a magic bar.
