They really need to make a tool designed specifically for creating slopes and hills.

Agreed, it would make it better for new designers

I agree. The slope and smooth tools on Farming Simulator would be a perfect addition to the course designer for both beginners and pros

Biggest holdup for me enjoying course designer fully is problems with slopes. Great tips to help get past that frustration so I appreciate it

Its great to see how other people design ther courses, I like the techniques used and why. Sloping terrain can be difficult at times especially doing the gradual type. For me it tends to be a bit hit and miss as I like to use the default land that has been generated and work my way around it. I also use the graduated brushes which can give you some really good effects.

its very interesting to see how all the designers work. The is no guide for the designer so everyone has to learn their own way. Which is great for course creativity

This was fantastic. I'm doing my 1st course now and I'm happy thet i did my slopes in the same manner. It is quite tedious, but it jt will be worth it when I'm done.
I do have a question regardig the slope scale under the green settings. I made slopes for the greens, but they weren't fair or even realistic, so i did what you did and flattened them. But does the slope scale under green settings even do anythng? Sorry for the long winded question 😊

Hey first time watcher. I am a pretty experienced designer. I built approximately 15 to 20 courses in 2K21 some of which were on several channels on TH-cam. By no means do I consider my stuff great but it’s pretty decent. The reason I’m sending this is because in 2K23 in the designer it will not let me add more than one pin on my greens and I can’t figure out why!?? And it’s ticking me off, any idea what’s going on? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks keep up the good work!

Gotta click in the pin and it'll say add pin

i have had this exact issue on one of my courses. But only for 1 hole. My issue was the hole was placed to close to the edge of the map and it wasn't allowing more pins or tee boxes. Usually moving it away from the edge of the map will fix it. If thats not the issue it most likely another one of the 100's of bugs in this game. Also if you ported a course over from 2k21 they usually have issues like that.

i have great news for you, they posted an update to fix your exact issue. my 1 hole i had left with 1 pin i was able to fix so hopefully yours are good now too!

I so wished my computer had the firepower to use this program. It a lot of ways designing courses in 2K23 has got to be easier than Links' APCD.

yeah it is very intense sadly. My PC is only $800 and runs it very well but not everyone has the time and money to make a good PC. And ive never heard of that program but I'm definitely going to check it out.

How do i dig a damn trench!

I would recommend using one of the smaller flatten brushes. Bring it down about 3 feet and click and drag in a line. the drag may not be perfect but you can then sculpt the ground after the trench is dug.
