Thanks for this video. I’m aware as a rookie designer that this is crucial to the designing of a course. Though a ways to go as a designer, I want to be one of the greats & this video will surely help. I really like that you illustrated different green complexes and the approach shots into the greens. Thanks so much & Really appreciate the video.
Outstanding video. Very interesting and helpful. I will definitely try to incorporate these fundamental points in mind when constructing my new greens.
I have played some courses in the UK that I would call extreme greens and make no real sense 😁I think those guy's could do with looking at your videos. There is certainly a lot to learn when creating golf courses in real life. Game design and real life design can be complete opposites at times. Most new or rookie designers never ever look at anything except laying a course down and just doing what looks good to them. For me I like designing courses purely for game play and aesthetics, I put ideas down, which in the real world would not work, but for me that's what designing is about imo. Great video with the theory behind green designs, drainage, topography etc is top notch. BTW the audio transitions are a bit distorted. I love this type of content, tips and hints and some actual theory and solid facts to back it up.
Try Kahana Bay! I just published it after months of work, built from scratch. 75 plays and 5 stars currently! You’ll love it enough to make a video hopefully!! Thanks, love the content to man, keep it up!
Thank for going over the greens design concept. As a beginner designer, greens are a struggle for me. Really makes sense how you went over the drainage and flow with the landscape. Great video!
These videos are very well done. I like that you explain the “why” and then you show “how”. Great tutorial series.
Thank you! Great to hear that feedback!
