Im gonna be honest, saying "no thank you" to a hug from a stranger and not liking paparazzis is not a crime.
Agree
Ya, I think Seinfeld is just old school in the fact that there is a certain politeness and dignity that each person should be afforded.
Yeah Jerry didn’t do anything uncalled for in my opinion.
Jerry’s comedy (and Larry David’s) is a little abrasive… but that is the entire reason he and Seinfeld was popular. Calling him unpleasant or mean is just off base
I don’t think the examples given (other than the interview with Larry David) were bad, but I’ve heard other negative stuff about him too. Some might be justified but it seems he’s generally not a great person.
Idk if he belonged on this list though.
Shaq doesn’t look down on people because “they’re lesser” he looks down on them cause he literally has no other choice

My husband got to hang out with Harry Styles for a couple of hours on his tour bus. Said he was the nicest guy ever. Paid for his Uber, messaged him the next day to make sure he got home okay, and even called his sister when she had her baby to tell her congrats. Truly one of the nicest people ever.
damn actually going out of his way to contact him and his sister just shows he actually sincerely cares about his fans and isnt faking it
Adam Sandler also loves sending Jennifer Aniston gifts on Mother’s Day because she’s unable to have children and he wants her to at least feel appreciated on Mother’s Day which I find so sweet.

Jerry not wanting to hug a person he doesn’t know is completely understandable. And being upset with the people shoving a camera in your face is also something understandable
Agreed, he definitely doesn't deserve to be on this list.
Maybe Jerry isn't as wholesome as someone like Post Malone, but all the clips of him in this video seem completely reasonable. The Larry King clip makes Jerry seem like a jerk, but if you watch the whole segment King was being a gigantic asshole to him the entire time.
Yeah there are clips out there that totally make him look like an ssshole and they didn't use any of them.
Him being a creep is more what they should have talked about
@@cinifiend Yeah, I thought Jerry Seinfeld responding that way to Larry was perfectly fine. He didn't even seem mad, to be honest. He was just correcting Larry for saying his show was canceled. And he did it with good humor.

I used to be really involved in pre-show backstage photography w/ a few select artists and Post Malone was probably the nicest dude I ever came across in my short amount of time doing that. Heh, obviously no one in your family was an English major. Unfortunate that they procreated.
I believe that Sandler being a nice guy is the main reason why so many respectable celebrities agree to work on his movies. Not talking about his closest friends like Rob Schneider, David Spade, John Torturro or even Jennifer Aniston, but Al Pacino, Johnny Depp, Christopher Walken, Harvey Keitel and many more. These are not people who normally sign up for stupid comedy with low chamce of success.

I've been lucky enough to meet Post Malone and Keanu Reeves, and both of them are some of the most amazing people I have ever met. I ran into Post on the street in November last year before he did his concert in Sydney, we talked for about 10 minutes about music, video games and other shared interests, he even showed me a sample of a new song he was working on and asked for my opinion on it. Honestly such a fantastic humble dude. With Keanu I met him back in 2014 when me and my family took a trip around America, I was only 8 at the time and I didn't know who he was, He walked into a café that we were having lunch at and said hello in a friendly down to earth way to everyone including my parents and me. I don't remember much of the Keanu one but you can tell that he's an amazing guy.
I saw post Malone in concert at the end of 2022 in Abu Dhabi and in between every song he wouldn’t stop saying thank you to the audience. Me and my mum were genuinely astonished at how humble he was

I hate to play this card, but a lot of people seem to only realize that Jerry’s reaction is reasonable if the genders were reversed. I appeal to The Shaq more out of most of my favorite stars of any kind, because even though his title character Kazaam is fictional, he got to pour some of his real self into his character, this really helps to show that a even a spirit-like deity like a Genie could have multiple layers that makes himself as human as any mortal, and I have also heard a little bit on live t.v. once about how charitable he was, but of course I was a teenager at the time so, I never stick around for live tv for very long. Yea, I am glad that he is one of my two favorite NBA Legends.

Jerry going in on Larry King for not knowing how Seinfeld ended is actually pretty hilarious. I almost feel like the whole interaction was a bit.
@@timberland4852 WHAT
Interesting to include Seinfeld. He declined hugging someone he didn't know (he is allowed to set his boundaries) he riffed on Larry King which was totally warranted and expected for a comic to respond that way, and was upset over a famous person acting like an ass and being upgraded.....notice it was never against the fans or public? I met him after he did 4 shows at the paramount in seattle, it was like 1am and a group had gathered to see about getting an autograph when he left. He walked out, dropped his bags, greeted everyone and just walked into the crowd (pissing off his security) and signed and talked for a good 30 minutes, made sure everyone got an autograph, said thanks everyone and took off. Dude is a class act.
There's plenty of stories about him being mean to random people, too. These were just not well used examples.
I am super sad. Bill Nye has my childhood. My favorite song when I was little was the Bill Nye theme. I guess this is the best example of things aren't always how they seem.
Another example of a celebrity not abusing their status is David Beckham. He waited in line for an entire day just like anyone else to give his condolences to the Queen.
He grew up in a poor blue collar family and never forgot it

My uncle has a cottage up here in Ontario, a tree fell over on the road and him and his family were stuck on the road, my uncle went home got a chainsaw removed the tree and David posted he himself removed the tree no joke, look er up my uncle is the redhead with the saw lol
@TheRealBatCave hmm every post I saw said he was only helping to lift the tree. Nothing about him cutting the tree himself and definitely not him being alone. Did see the bloke with the chainsaw. Would be nice if they mentioned him at least.
Honestly Jerry refusing a hug is understandable, just because you're famous/an actor doesn't mean you want to hug anyone. If you're walking down the street and some strangers comes running to you asking for a hug I don't think you'll feel like a bad person for refusing
4:53 imagine saying that with that voice HAHA
Its sort of the reverse of people who think they can pay time and money into their way into relationships
Just because you spent time on someone does not mean they should reciprocate, as after all it the same as you should be coming out of the kindness of your heart.
Similarly, celebrities while fortunate only because of us, do not need to serve our every request. Obviously don't be an Ellen, but it is not necessary nor should it be expected for everyone to be Keanu Reeves (even though he is my favorite on this list)
Granted. But Tom Holland is the absolute opposite. A fan once walked up to him and asked for a hug. Tom didn’t even hesitate to say yes.
That aside he’s still an asshole.
@@LilyCult problem with that is the girl can turn around in 5 years time and say he grabbed her ass, he has no retort as he had his arms around them and it would ruin his rep and result in him most likely paying a huge sum of money, just look at keanu he wont touch a fan, his arm always hovers.

I saw Adam Sandler live this year in Portland, and his attitude was very humble and kind, acted and talked about him getting old. He also expressed how he was depressed in a joking manner early in the set, but as the show went on, the jokes and acts that he did really showed how depressed he really is BECAUSE he feels he is getting older. From joking about his grown children's friends to singing a 10 minute tribute to Chris Farley, i feel the whole performance seemed like a tribute to his entire life, like he was saying goodbye to the fans.. I just hope he is happy and remembers that he is loved by more people than he could imagine

I agree with everyone on the list except for jerry Seinfeld. I went with my friends to one of his comedy shows in Toronto (I think it was there, not sure) a while back, and after his routine was over, he greeted a ton of fans and was a really nice guy. On Seinfeld he is literally just playing himself, that's kind of his entire bit. He's not a bad guy, but he's not a super nice guy. I think there's a difference between being kind and understanding and being polite. He can be rude and snarky, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't go out of his way to help a friend or be there for someone in need. The dude does a ton of charity work with his wife. I think it's a stretch to say that he's a bad dude just because he's mean. Some people just aren't nice, they're dry and sarcastic, but that doesn't discredit the good things he does do. It gives you a reason not to like the person of course, but doesn't make that person objectively bad like some of the other examples here.
It's hard to judge a person "in general" because there will always be an exception to their pattern of behavior. For instance, a good friend of mine had the opportunity to go to the Cannes Film Festival years ago. He was at one of the event's bars talking with other documentary filmmakers about how if he could just find the money he would be able to finish his first film. Somebody must have overheard because that night he got a knock at his door. It was Harvey Weinstein's personal assistant with a check for $10,000 - no strings attached. Apparently Weinstein just liked the concept of my friend's film and wanted help get it made.
Your vids are nice. The commentaries and editing is amazing

Sean Connery. In Edinburgh. Jumped the queue in a Macdonald’s. The waitress didn’t recognize him and told him to go back to the end of the line. He obliged. Later she realized who he was. She was so embarrassed. But he just smiled and apologized for jumping the queue. Telling her she was right to scold him. What a man. 😊

The hug rejection was more of a reality check to Kesha which she lacks a lot considering she described it as the Saddest moment of her life. Imagine how privileged she is.
Yes and she's a stranger...it's not too much
Yeah ngl the section of Jerry didn’t make me think he was that bad. Only thing that annoyed me was him being egotistical on the interview. Not hugging a complete stranger is perfectly fine, like if u saw Kesha not hug someone she didn’t know, nobody would have an issue with it. And treating paparazzi like shit is fair imo, because paparazzi are the lowest form of life in our society
@@sldarwin5615the interview was a joke bit.
Seinfeld's still a prick, though.
He's way too uppity.
We need to stop being so harsh on people for imperfections. Some girls are huggers and it seems like she really adored the guy so to have him reject her like that must've been a real big blow. It does show her life had no hardships which I also think we need to stop seeing that as a negative. hope it continues to be the worst part of her life. I am not a fan of hers for the record that clip was the most I've seen or heard from her in my life outside the name.

What's really surprising is nobody is talking about how Shaq made fun of a disabled fan of his or how stevo went on a rant about how games are dangerous and anyone who plays them is a lazy ass waste of life. Stevo really got me with that one because he was so passionately angry about it, and Shaq just seemed like a pure dick.

The one story I know of Jerry Seinfeld was when he was doing a comedy show in my town. His opening act was a local magician who did a pretty killer job and mixed in some good jokes with the magic, really got the crowd going. When Jerry took the stage, his first five minutes was just ragging on magicians, saying they're creepy, terrible people, just mean stuff. Around half the audience got up and left during this tirade, and a decent chunk continued to leave during the show which he ended early.
Through friends, we heard he went backstage and asked the magician what happened. The magician explained he had told his family he was opening for Jerry Seinfeld and they were so excited they bought a bunch of tickets and brought their friends and families too. Jerry yelled at the magician for not telling him how many people his opening act knew were there instead of giving any sort of apology or just acknowledging that ripping on your opening act is just a shit way to conduct yourself, especially when they do a great job and help your show nearly sell out.
Huh, yeah that's a shitty thing to do. Seinfeld likes 'em *young* though, so of course he's a creep.
You like jazz
I didn’t think the examples stated in the video really made him seem that bad, but this does make him seem like a jerk.
Seinfeld is a 24 carat prick. He just reeks of it.
Yeah the first part of that story could be explained as just a slip up and terrible timing. It’s when you find out how people act without an audience is what makes that really dark.
I've seen Charlie Pride in concert but never met him bc it was at a huge rodeo in Albuquerque many, many years ago. The only celebrity I've met was Tiny Tim while working at at Arby's in KY back in the late 80s,early 90s.
