      @@KingdomGloryLeather I only recently began working on leather again. Used to do this many years ago. Well, I almost gave up this weekend. Tried my hand at making floral cuts…it didn’t go well. I went to my local Tandy and they managed to talk me off of the ledge. It’s just I compare what I see online and where I’m at, well it’s enough to make me want to just dump all my stuff in the trash. But I’m gonna keep trying. Thanks for your videos. Your work gives me hope and inspiration.

    Very nice. I always line and hand stitch (4 hrs.) all my belts. I may give this single ply a try, looks good.

    Great work as always! Very inspiring. I have to admit I’ve taken quite a few ideas from your videos of some things I’ve made. Thanks for sharing. I love these videos, no talking, easy listening and the description along the way is great 👍🏻

    Does the stamping tool somewhat register into the previous impression keeping everying aligned evenly and qickly or does each impression have to be aligned by eye to the previous impression? Your speed and accuracy suggests some registration with the previous impression.

    I have a buckle that came with a belt, that is now too long. Any recommendations as to what kind of craftsmen I should ask around for who to ask to have belt(s) made for the buckle?

    • @KingdomGloryLeather
      @KingdomGloryLeather  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure, maybe search for local leather crafters in your area.

    That is a great looking belt. I love how it turned out!
    Allow me one question.
    The process of dyeing it and then using an antique paste without putting a resist on first? Doesn’t that cover up the dye you used before the antique?

    • @KingdomGloryLeather
      @KingdomGloryLeather  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use antique both ways. I like to not use resist because it darkens the leather and gives it a more old rustic look. But if I want to preserve a lighter leather color and only darken the tooling I will use a resist.

    • @germanywilli
      @germanywilli ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KingdomGloryLeather thank you for the quick answer and explanation. I will give that a try.
      Have you tried before just using the antique without dying it first?

    Does that Tokonole work better than water & saddle soap or gum trag? I have never used it & have been wondering. I am still old school after all these years but I am not closed minded by no means.

    • @KingdomGloryLeather
      @KingdomGloryLeather  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I find it does work better than gum trag. I never used saddle soap but it is definitely better than just water.

    Super nice. What brands of English points and round/arc punches do you use? They look really solid, and everything I'm able to find on Amazon tends to look quite cheap. Also, do you find one coat of finish is enough to prevent dye rub-off?

    • @KingdomGloryLeather
      @KingdomGloryLeather  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. All of my punches are cheap no name brands off Amazon or eBay. I put multiple finish coats on the belt I just did not film it. Thank you for watching.

    Why do u use tape on your leather projects

    • @KingdomGloryLeather
      @KingdomGloryLeather  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It keeps the leather from stretching while tooling.
