You know what's funny ? The dude with the Lincoln has a perfectly good car shed there, but he chose to park it outside instead and watch it rot into the ground.
Arkansas climate is rough on anything that sits outside, I’m surprised the Lincoln wasn’t more overgrown. Loved the conclusion of the trip. You’re able to pack more content in one series than an entire season of a tv show.
Great episode! Thanks! You were correct about pine needles - When the wind gets up, the air will be full of pine straw at times - if you saw it happening you would be amazed that there's not more of them in there! The pump jack on the oil well you saw is about average size for this region.

All of your videos are great. This one, however, was filled with welcomed memories of Continental’s from the early ‘70s. Viewers saw why Continentals were luxury on four wheels. Add in the John Lennon 8-track and the memories came full circle. Thank you for sharing your mechanical expertise and sharing your trips across the US.
Finally caught up on all these El Camino videos and super psyched you stopped at Desperate Times in Carlisle. Love that place! Such a great series. Love your honesty about the sponsorship opportunity you had plus Jen's singing at the end!

Enjoy the channel, and I agree Gus & Jen add to the content, making it more of a family affair feel. I'm way over on the west coast here in Canada, where there just aren't as many old collectable cars in need of rebuilding, so it's great to see someone getting the wrenches out and explaining the fix-it process! Look forward to future videos!
Jen's voice is amazing!! I love hearing her sing, I love your channel and the way you explain what you're doing and what you're working on, not many people break things down so us common folk can understand and know what's happening.

Good that you passed on that Lincoln,I bought a 1978 Lincoln Mark 5 for $1300 in Nebraska three years ago running and driving, drove it home 80 miles no problems at all, still have it today
Chris , I had a car with a vinyl top that was really bad, all torn and shredded . After you have the roof repaired this might work for you...... What a body shop did on my car was to mask off everything except the roof and then paint it using Rocker Schutz, it is meant as a rocker panel protection BUT it also mimics the look and texture of a vinyl top and helps to hide flaws in the body work. And actually something else to consider on a older car might be bed liner , again you have the texture look at a lot lower price than a vinyl top... Just a suggestion and something to consider or look into. Both can be painted to color too.
That's still only a temporary fix considering the underside of the roof is very rusty causing the headliner to fail. Removing the roof and removing all the rust. Patching the holes and reinstalling is the only fix that may last 10 years or more. Very labor intensive and expensive.
@@Hanzyscure Well I thought that it would be Obvious that what is left of the old Vinyl top comes off and that the steel is repairer/replaced and that the bare metal is properly taken care of first. And then the other product is applied.
You’re welcome, I’ve been glued to your page! It’s all great stuff; dogs, music, road trips, wrenching! I was thinking about what you said about torquing to spec on brake stuff .. or was it front end stuff… either way though, I have an hrv and have actually never torqued any bolt to spec and so I’ve been perusing Craigslist and the like for one. Even considering just buying new as I’m almost up against the clock with doing my brakes. My question is, what size torque wrench would best cover most applications (fluids, brakes, wheels, suspension) ? My girl’s car is Chevy Equinox and I have 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 sockets. Cheers from Somerville Ma!

Finally caught up on all these El Camino videos and super psyched you stopped at Desperate Times in Carlisle. Love that place! Such a great series. Love your honesty about the sponsorship opportunity you had plus Jen's singing at the end!
This channel is awesome. I have always had an interest in working and tinkering on old vehicles but this channel has really brought that out of me more. I have recently taken ownership of an abandoned 73 Chevy c10. Planning on completely restoring it and getting it back on the road. Thank you NNKH for the quality content! Keep it up!
Love it!! What a great ending to an awesome road trip!! Thank you both so much for taking us along for the ride. Jen and Gus are rockstars and Chris thank you so much for taking the time to explain things the way you do! Appreciate all of the time and effort y'all put into these videos - we all appreciate it! Looking forward to more episodes!! Darren in TX
3600 miles, KEEPER all the way brother. That camper would look great on my 75 but I'm in Cali and can't afford shipping. Great job, thank you.
Hell yeah. Here we go for over another hour. Keep pounding it out, dude!!
Great series. Jen the frog in Memphis was a Green Tree Frog. I’m from the Bootheel of Missouri and we see ‘em a lot in the rice fields. Gus is precious btw!
Thanks for the info man. I just told Jen that about the green tea Frog as we're sitting here on the couch
Great video! I loved it all. You, Jen and Gus are a super team.
OMG!!! Jenn's voice and the acoustics in that pool was unbelievable !! So very pretty!!!! Thanks for sharing with us!!
Fabulous content. As a UK viewer I really appreciated the US geographic tour through your vast and beautiful countryside. Looking forward to more road trips. Thank you 😃
Wow how amazing was Jen's voice in that pool🥰
Another great episode 👍
Awesome series again! Great job with the repairs, and enjoyed watching the both of you having fun. Do it again, do it again! Get a muscle car next time if you can, or if you want!
No matter what I'm in!!!
I love how genuine this channel is
This channel is truly a gem and i would not be surprised if y'all hit 1 million subs next year 😄
Never miss an episode! You guys are awesome! Didn’t know about the second channel! I’m headed there now! I’m one of those you add to the garage list! Just off I64 at exit 16! Cheers 👍👊💪
WOW! She sounds incredible in the pool's atrium. Looks like you had one heck of a month vacation.
I 100% prefer factory sealed engines as well. Thanks for another hour+ video!
Considering the lack of cotter pins in ball joints. The engine wasn't going to last very long.
Thank you! and the torque wrench i use most often is 3/8" followed by 1/2"
Dude you are awesome!! I watch you all the time and I’m glad I could catch your video right when it was released. Keep rocking and rolling 🤘🏼
Me and wife Love your cross country trips keep up the grind and enjoy..
"Carlier" is Cartier, the fancy watch company
Thanks for clearing that up!
As a viewer (subscriber) from Germany.......I just want to let you know that your Roadtrips are always fun to watch. They are awesome.👍👍
I'm 39 I haven't cried since I was 10 years old when my grandad died and Jens singing at the end just brought a tear to my eye absolutely beautiful voice...and you didn't do a bad job on the will it run either 😂
Aww shucks, thanks Thomas. 🥹
I think you 3 are great your husband has taught me so much about mechanics I never used to attempt mechanics but since watching your channel I love it I recently bought an el camino
My sentiments exactly about her singing at end...and the pool acoustics were great.
Cartier is a famous watch making co. The name is French, pronounced "Car'-te-ay". Lichen isn't moss, it is 2 organisms (animals), algae and fungi that live together.
Your vids are great. You are very knowledgeable and love your vehicles. We like Jen and Gus, too. Thanks.
That's a sharp lookin ride. I appreciate you. Thank you for sharing your skills knowledge and experience
Yeah she's good looking for sure! Thanks for checking the video out
Thank you very much for another great video. Wasn't even mad when the Lincoln attempt was cut short because we got more great road trip footage. I love this channel.
That copper head is up in that head liner
Thank you for looking into your sponsors and turning down good money from people who don’t need our business. Stay humble friend. Congrats on 300K.
That plant is a Thistle, Jen IS awesome, because she is pretty? no ,but she is pretty, because she is in good shape? No, but she is in good shape. It’s because she is happy, what a blessing to have a happy wife !
