- Check out my video showing 3 popular weed killing sprays and how they compete against each other. My video shows three different areas sprayed equally with different products and I show the unbiased results after a one week duration. If you find this video interesting or useful, please comment, give a thumbs-up, and subscribe. Thanks for watching!
Consider adding an agricultural "sticker" (compound) to aid glyPHOSATE's adhesion to the leaf surfaces. The "waxy" surface on the leaves of some vines allows water-born defoliants to run off; "stickers" (chemical additives) promote adhesion of the defoliant....
I once had someone mention adding Sprite to adhere to the leaves. Never tried it yet.
After spraying and the poison ivy weeds dying, how do you remove them? Thanks
Just sprayed a whole acre with Roundup, nothing. Switched to concentrated Crossbow and in 24 hrs, all weeds dead. Trees abit stressed but cameout justfine after a day of watering the line.
Thanks for sharing! I'll have to check this out for some tough weeds I'm dealing with.
2-4D has worked well for me in Texas
Good to know, thanks!
I think the product I'm using might have both 2-4 D and glyphowhtev in it. Seems to do the job. I do have to hit some spots twice but I'm impatient.
Years ago I killed some small young trees with the stuff by accident because I sprayed the vines growing up the tree. Took a while but the tree just couldn't take it.
I have definitely tried 2 4 D and Roundup poison ivy killer. I find the 2 4 D to be considerably better and more effective unfortunately. It's surprising since Roundup is supposed to be so amazing at killing things
I would have liked to have seen the end result after multiple treatments. Did it do the job, or do you need to just pull it out instead?
It did the job, but it took a couple weeks. I've never pulled it out since spray is my preferred method. The biggest thing is to never burn it, because the smoke is bad to breathe in.
@@MarkThomasBuilder After spraying, how do you clear the area? Pull up the weeds with gloves?
2 Week Update... The middle section clearly killed weeds much better than section 1 & 3. If you want Poison Ivy gone, it's worth the extra money to go with Roundup Poison Ivy & Tough Weed Killer.

No thanks. Round up is the devil.
Muriatic acid or HCL might get rid of that pesky ivy but I haven't tried it. It removes mortar from brick so ivy should have no chance.
leaves of three: good t.p.!
Thanks, it's an easy thing to remember when going out in the woods.
Did you check back at those three areas 2 or 3 weeks later to see if it worked?
gly-FOS-ate.
Which product would you recommend to completely get rid of weeds on a lawn?
where could i find 2-4D ?
marta banda AT A FARM STORE LIKE RURAL KING, FARM AND HOME, TRACTOR SUPPLY, . BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET ANY ON TREE LEAVES, THEY MAY NOT GREEN UP NEXT SPRING. SPRAY WITH A COARSE SPRAY ON A DAY WITH LITTLE GO NO WIND.
@@c50ge Did you mean coarse spray?
@@urbanoasisgregg
Yes that is correct! Thank you, I edited my post.
A good friend of mine suggests not using 2-4D products when it is extremely hot outside.
It can vaporize and drift and kill wand plants.
I was hoping for a 2 week follow-up, glysophate takes a while to get to the roots
I may need to do this again. I still have poison ivy to spray.
@@MarkThomasBuilder awesome! I'll subscribe. I basically am trying Wal-Mart brand Roundup on some poison ivy on my property, and am hoping to kill the stuff. It grows so vigorously...
Dude, not different products, all the same, only different concentration.
Thanks god bless
Thanks you too
a complete waste of 4 min
have you tried "Finale"?
socalives No, I haven't. I seen a claim that it works 4x's faster than Roundup. I would like to test it sometime.
Tordon RTU or anything with Triclopyr in it. Round up isn't very effective at all.
Thanks for the info. I have an outdoor work area where poison ivy grows.
I accidentally got it on my hands but washed it like 10 mintues after use
Hope nothing happens tho
I got just a little on my face last week, which isn't fun. You're lucky to treat it before it sets in.
@@MarkThomasBuilder what symptoms did u get
And are they still there
Oh, sorry I meant to say I got a poison ivy rash last week. It was pretty small and I have some prescription liquid to put on it.
I've had Roundup spray on me once in awhile and wash it off like you did and didn't have any issues.
The results?
Glysophate and Poison Ivy weed killer did well.
You should wear gloves dude!!
I definitely wash my hands afterward, but gloves is a good idea too!
That may work however its extremely toxic to humans and the environment I use concentrated vinegar and a weed whip.
I'm seeing 30% cleaning vinegar in the stores by me. I'm going to try that this week on some tough weeds.
I tried the roundup for poison Ivy and it didn't work at all.
I'd go with the Roundup Poison Ivy Tough Weed Killer then.
I did. After a week it was still green
I poured gas on them and still green.
@@richardhatt6541 That's some tough stuff! Maybe you need to try 30% acidity vinegar. They sell it on Amazon. Someone told me they found 20% in Walmart in the gardening section.
It's potent too, I started pulling it up and while bagging I had contact. I washed my arms with orange pumice soap I use after working with cars and wiped my arms down with acetone nail polish remover and a makeup pad and still got it all over my arms.
Anything you buy at big box isn't strong enough and cost too much.
Is there another product you recommend? I have some poison ivy to clear out soon.
Tractor Supply 50% Glyphosate - superior to anything -except maybe Agent orange.
FIRE HAS ALWAYS WORKED 🔥 LOL
Burning poison ivy just gets the irritating compound into the air and you can get the rash in your lungs. Never burn poison ivy.
Cancer Roundup!
Yeah, there's a lot more awareness and concern today, compared to the date that I made the video.
If you drink it! Maybe! My 95 year young father has been using it on his farm forever. Best stuff ever!
@@arleneheer2883 Yeah, it's like Vit C that's why there are so many lawsuits about it, Blind Melon Chitlin.
