    I think that some people might be mislead or confused about your vid. RoundUp Extended control is a quick knock down with an extended control weed killer( hence the 1% Glyphosate salt). Where as the Compare and Save with 41% Glyphosate is a non specific weed control. But just taking longer to see the results. Usually 7-10 days. I have RM-43 with 43% Glyphosate salt and the RoundUp Extended Control concentrate. And as I said one works quicker than the other. So I started combining both =>Quick knock down with long term control. 👍😎
    My only argument with this mix, is that it doesn't work well on Bermuda grass.

    Thanks for reviewing the product and it's effectiveness. One who complaint about % of glypho in ready-to-use vs % of glypho in diluted solution with C&S, you're correct that its not 41% when diluted but you missed main point. With C&S, you have flexibility to increase glypho concentration while still produce many many gallons of solution compared to your RoundUp ready-to-use. This product is a great bargain when making your own solution, as you get lot more volume for same price.

    I remember buying a 50 pound bag of copper sulfate for root control for around 60 bucks many years ago. At the same time you could buy 1 pound in the hardware store for around 10 to 15 bucks.
    Another similar story, I needed motion sickness medications for spending some time on ocean water in a small boat. My MD brother told me to ask the pharmacist for a stock bottle of meclizine. For about the same price of 10 motion sickness pills I think the bottle had 100. There were a bunch of us that needed it so it didn’t really matter if we end up not using it all. It was still far far cheaper.

      WHO_TEE_WHO lmao. Yes. It’s the truth. It’s what I do. I’m an agronomist. I sell several semis of Glyphosate every year. As well as many other chemicals. If it last for you it means you don’t have much of a seed bank where your spraying. More than likely because you are killing the weeds before they produce more seed to add to the seed bank. For example. We spray glyphosate on the fields to kill what’s there then plant crops directly behind it. The seeds Emerge immediately. Whether they are roundup ready or not round up ready. It has to kill the plant by absorbing into the leaf tissue. I’ll bet you 10,000 dollars that if you spray your yard (not a fence row that’s been sprayed year after year) that In a years time it will be completely covered in weeds. Another example is every crop field around you. They are sprayed before the crop is planted as well with 2-4 d or dicamba and a residual and they still have to spray over top of the crop with more roundup another residual and herbicide of their choosing for broadleaves. Many weeds are resistant to round up now and it won’t even kill them. Palmer pigweed, marestail, water hemp etc etc are the most common in your and my area.

    • @WHOTEEWHO
      @WHOTEEWHO  5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I agree you are paying a lot for the name "Round Up", but Monsanto, the company sells different concentrations from 18% to 41%. Shop around for the best price by ingredient percentage. Sometimes it is Round Up.

    A healthy mixture of glyphosate and glufosinate with a lot of nitrogen (heavy for burn down) plus some adjuvant/surfactant/drift control wipes most herbacious plants and grasses clean out.

    I wish I had seen this before buying the bioadvanced brush killers. It's working ok but $50 for 8000 sq ft is a lot more. I bought a house that is completely over run by that damn air potato vine. A large majority of the lot is basically one large solid mass of vines. And look! an amazon link! Thanks for the day by day. Very satisfying to watch.

      Roundup IS glyphosate. Farmers don’t use 1% glyphosate that’s intended for home owners at Home Depot. Farmers use 41%-54%. Think of it like this...if you take 2 aspirin with water it doesn’t matter whether you use an ounce of water or a gallon of water, you still got 2 aspirin. If this guy knew what he was talking about he would know to calibrate so he was spraying proper amounts

    Is e an effective product that I can use under my lilacs?

    • @tighand430
      @tighand430 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glyphosate is a non-selective herbicide, so it will kill/damage anything it falls on. If you want to use this under your lilac bushes, I'd recommend using either a spray cone on the end of your sprayer to keep it solely on the weeds, or better yet use a wick style applicator so you can get it precisely on the weeds you want to kill.

On a side note, I would sincerely suggest that you use protective gear when using this stuff. Spraying it around without a mask / gloves might not be the best idea. I'm sure you've seen the lawsuit ads for Roundup on TV. This stuff is probably as bad if not worse. Why take a chance? Stay safe, brother! Peace -

    That is crazy. Reading the label, it says it doesn't effect grasses. A bit disappointing considering it will be a complete kill off. If it lasts a year, what will take over before I can reseed.
    Not saying I wouldn't use it, but not as a broadcast spray which is what I need for about an acre of heavy poison ivy and honeysuckle.

      Use a ground kill first because you will still have weed seeds that will grow, use something like Casoron it will not allow the seeds to germinate and if they do the gas that blankets the ground kills them as they Germinate.
