Menu + Cancel + Map!
Hit these three buttons for 5 - 7 seconds and your done!

You are a life saver.. Ok,so mine says driver 1 settings uncustomizable and goes back to the normal screen after displaying that message. It changed and things have been weird since my battery randomly died

Anyways I have a 2004 acura rl 3.5 with the DVD player in the truck as well an when I start my car the screen reads "please insert the CD" thing is the 💿 is already in there plus it will not eject it when i press the button??.. could that mean that the DVD is not good anymore? If so, will a similar dvd along with the cd work if I were to connect it?

How do you turn off the GPS screen while driving??
My car battery runs out quickly, I checked the current leak and found that it is the radio fuse. I disconnected it.
but my car won't start so I had to put it back in.
The radio doesn't work but I can't turn it off and the screen says HFL

You have to buy an accessory called BT45-HON to listen to bluetooth music. It uses the XM Radio source to connect to the radio. Last time I checked it was around $50

I have an 05 and my heat isn’t working on the driver side just blows cold air and the passenger side works when driving but at idle it goes cold again. I get a rattle at the glovebox when I turn the heat on
You can change the vent settings in the climate control menu (adjust fan speed per vent, turn one side off completely, etc..).
Dude I had the same problem in my 05 and nothing I tried fixed it. There’s a blend door actuator in the dash. It has dual climate zone so start there. . Fix everything on that damn car. Best car I’ve ever owned in till it got crashed. Then I bought an 08 RL and I’ve only had to do the timing service and brakes and that’s it. The 05 is the first yr and they have all the issues 07-08 are perfect.

Theres a DVD unit in the trunk of the RL that controls the screen. If you have a grey or black screen than the DVD unit in the trunk is faulty and bad. It needs to be replaced or fixed. Theres a video on my channel talking exactly about your problem.

How do you change the wipers on a 2007 rl???
Connie Lynam Ill be honest with you Connie, the best wipers for the RL are the OEMs from Acura/Honda that you get from the dealership. I have had multiple issues using third party wipers. To install remove the blade from the hinge. With the RLs the wipers are actually inserts so all you have to do is literally pull the wiper insert out from one side. Then slide the new one back in. Then reattach the blade to the hinge and your all set to go. Ill try to make a video but I found this really helpful... th-cam.com/video/JXGph1MCrj8/w-d-xo.html
Mr. Honda Mods thanks so much for your answer. The guy at the auto parts store had no clue. He also ordered wipers that were about 4” too short.
So, you think it’s ok to just replace the rubber part of the blade and not the whole metal piece? Wonder if we can get them at Acura and do the install ourselves? This has been a giant pain in the butt 🤨. Expensive too!
All you do is change the inserts. they slide right out and takes like 5 minutes

No Bluetooth. Have to go aftermarket. Search BTU-45 for Acura RL.
It reroutes the power from the XM Radio unit to a Bluetooth receiver. It's the only way brother 👍

The 05-08 Acura RL does not have Bluetooth radio. They have Bluetooth to connect calls via the in car microphone.

I do the main difference from 05 to the 07s is trim levels but overall the same great car!
