2 bigs clogs the lane- we proved we can still start them at the halves, then mix and match Malik and Ballo rest of the way. Both seemed more refreshed and we won this game on the boards. 4 out 1 in opens the floor which is why Goode was so open.
Theory here about rice.. you saw success last night cause ballo and malik weren’t on the floor together the whole game. It helps a lot with keeping the paint open if we only have one big out there at a time
I will give Woodson credit for gradually getting better riding the hot hand. I think he has always believed in Leal it’s just been a matter of who was promised to be in front of him whether it’s been Trey, Gunn, Carlyle etc and getting his opportunity I.e. the OSU game and Iowa game. I think in B10 play we will see for lineups with Leal
Free throw shooting Mgbako 92%, Reneau 90, Goode 91.7, Rice 93.8, Galloway 83%. Ballo is dragging IU down to their overall 77.7%. Won't know if Rice is in Smith's zip code until they face at PU. Galloway is not nearly quick and coordinated as he was late last year. He is working his way back from knee surgery. RIce will improve as the season goes on and become more consistent. IU shot this good the previous game (checkout Providence, who beat a good BYU by 19 last night).
