It is so neat to see 2 actresses, who are friends, reminisce - that share the same experiences in a different way and can appreciate now how wonderful that was and understand it better.

Is it any wonder that the Walton's remained a hallmark in family viewing!! These relationships were real and it shined through the TV cameras right into our hearts!! I did not grow up in M America but even in the Caribbean islands, entire families would gather every Sunday night to watch the weekly episodes. To see Mary and Judy communicate they way they did in these segments, you would truly believe they are sisters. Love love love!!💕
I love these interviews it's like a real family reunion not two actors talking about a show they worked on. I like how you refer to the adults as momma, daddy grandpa and grandma not always by their names it makes everything so much more about a true family than a show.
I really hope you are able to do a reunion show to celebrate Ralph Waite have all the kids come home for a funeral and have john buried on the mountain with grandpa and grandma and allow us to catch up on the family
When the series debuted, Erin (Mary) was so young. Mary Ellen was closer to my age (I recently found out you are about two years younger than me) and I thought you were just gorgeous (still do). I had a crush on Mary Ellen. She was so cute in her bib overalls and I liked the fact that early on she was a bit of a tom-boy and liked sports. As the character got older the tom-boy thing went away but I still had a special place in my heart for her. She was always a strong, determined individual who set goals and then worked hard to achieve them and I always admired her for that. Judy,I hope you and your family have a safe and happy 4th of July!
When I was a kid I had a crush on Bridget Hanley from ‘Here Come the Brides’ She recently died, sad. I was a 14 -19 year old boy during the run of Charlie’s Angels. That show was just gasoline on a fire for a boy going through puberty in the 70s.
I watched Mary on Patrick Madrids program. Both Mary and you are so gorgeous. The whole history about the show and the actors would take a lifetime to explain what it takes to put everything together. To me The Walton's was one of the greatest shows or programs ever made at any time.
No matter how many times I see Daddy reading GW's letter to Erin I always cry! All of the acting was incredibly real & heartfelt. Thanks for your co-star interviews!
Hello Ms.Judy and Ms. Mary just got finished watching Waltons. It was where GW passed away. My heart just broke when Erin found out she started to cry. Thank God that daddy was there for her and the whole family. You both are sweet ladies now so nice we get to have the Waltons to watch. To me it's a little peace of forgotten Heaven.God bless you both. Thanks for the memories..
These wonderful conversations are a bonus gift from you all to us and I thank you for your generosity in sharing your memories and experiences during your years on the Waltons.
All the Walton girls were beautiful. Michael/Olivia was a youthful looking mother and had the most gorgeous cheekbones. Kami/Elizabeth was so adorable and grew into a beauty. Mary/Erin was a stunner with beautiful eyes and hair. Judy/Mary Ellen started out as a Tomboy, but always had a natural beauty waiting to come out. Look at Judy Norton. She is an ageless beauty and was always my favorite. All the Walton kids turned into respectful adult's who really admire and care about one another. Not all child actors took the right path. But our Walton kids did. I was very young when the Walton's first aired, but became a fan in reruns. Just a good show with superb actors and writers. You just can't copy the chemistry. One of a kind.
Speaking of crying…I’m 60 and I still cry every day at 11:00 am when I watch each episode each day! I was 9 in 1971 and if you only knew how much y’all inspired my true life!! :-) Only I found out the hard way having a large family is easier said than done! :-)
I grew up in the 70's. Watched a lot of tv. But, somehow, never saw an episode of The Waltons. (Mom and Dad liked cop dramas.) When I was old enough to make my own viewing choices I was into science fiction and considered myself too "Cool" to watch something like The Waltons. So, somehow, I made it to 55 years old and never saw the show. A few weeks ago, TH-cam suggested your channel. I thought, "Why not?" and watched a few videos. So, I decided to fire up the old tv and finally watched an episode to see what I missed out on. I'll be honest, I expected to watch an episode and then check it off my list, and probably never watch another one. Well, I've been binge watching ever since! Seems I missed a lot! Great story telling, fantastic performers, and great writing that still holds up today! So, while I may have missed it the first time around, I'm playing catch up now and enjoying every minute of it! Thanks for the great videos and re-introducing me to a gem I missed out on all those years ago.
Thanks Judy for continuing to do your show. I especially like the interviews with cast members. Even though you interviewed them once, you can interview them again. It will always be of interest to us. Also it would be great to find more guest stars that are still around to interview such as Pippa Scott , JAY MacIntosh, etc. These guest actors are a big part of our memories as well. The segment with Willie Aames was exceptioonal. So bring him back on! The possibilities for your show are endless . How about Ellen Geer? It's all of interest to us ! Thanks Judy and Merry Christmas ! Bring on Lynn Hamilton !!
Judy, I could listen to Mary for hours. She is just so down to earth, so polite and so open about her time on the Waltons. It once again reminds me that I think the greatest thing the Waltons gave all of you were each other and that's what makes life worth while (in my opinion) - the love and caring people you find in life that are there for you. What a wonderful gift you all have. So many times Hollywood is simply labeled as elite and inclusive and arrogant and that's completely oversimplified. Just look at the example of the Waltons to completely counter that argument. What a gift you have given your fans showing them you're real people first and foremost! Thanks!
Hi Dave, I've been working in the 'biz' for over 50 years now and I can count the number of arrogant, elite people I've worked with on one hand! 99.9% are hard-working folks. The hours are long and exhausting...but it's worth it all when you work on a show like THE WALTONS.
@@movieprod Hey John. Thanks for the reply. Based on the few people I've met (Jeff Daniels for one) they all come across as super approachable and super humble. I am glad - at least in your experience - it's been 99.9% great people.
How fortunate you all were, to work with the people you got to work with. (and each other}. The only people more fortunate were all of us for getting to witness it.
Yup. When acting is no longer "a thing" but your emotions and reactions become part of the "real life" of The Waltons. And that's one big reason for how the show -- the cast/characters -- touched so many viewers' lives -- because there was so much "real" to it. Great writing -- sure, great direction, sets, and atmosphere, but really more importantly -- the cast transitioning from acting to *being* the characters.... Thank you (all) for being an important part of my growing up.

We were just chatting about the dinner table and you had replied that it was up to the actors if they ate. Here comes Mary sharing an exception when Ralph asked her to when he was directing. Perfect timing! Like Mary, I still have a number of those teen magazines and loved her idea about having a show discussing them. I heard from other actors that often times a publicist or magazine writer would create the articles with no input from the actors.
I remember the Waltons when it first came out. Looking back all these years I still watch the show. The Waltons was the greatest TV show of all time. I wish there was shows like this nowadays. To bad the show ended.

Mary and Judy! Has anyone ever compiled a list of the life lessons that each episode showed us! Thank You for sharing with us all the life lessons that even you experienced behind the scenes!!
These interviews are great; I was pretty young when The Waltons was originally airing, but I do remember the excitement in my grandparent's house when the show came on - even at my age, the episodes around the house fire, the war, the calf, Will Geer's passing, and Ellen Corby's stroke all stick with me to this day. Great stuff, especially for those of us that grew up in rural Virginia and thought of the Waltons as a show about our friends, families, and neighbors. I occasionally find myself driving down Rt. 29 between Charlottesville and Lynchburg and I always look at the sign for Schuyler and enjoy those memories for a few minutes. Good stuff - thank you!

You weren't the only ones crying during The First Casualty and when Jim Bob related Curt's death to Mary Ellen! I'm enjoying your insights about the natural, true-to-life elements the directors were savvy to keep (Erin's allergies). I often wondered how much explaining the directors provided you children because your acting (each one of you) was so very sensitive, your inflections of lines so very insightful! Yes, you're all tremendously talented and a terrific ensemble! How nice of you to answer fan mail! How generous you are to talk with us fans! Have a wonderful and safe 4th July! Lots of love from your Pennsylvania fan! 🧡💐

The talk about your ability to cry reminded me of how real Mary Ellen seemed as a teenage girl. I was just entering my teens when the Waltons came out so I could easily relate to the combination of frustration, anger, and confusion that's felt at that age. It's impossible to fake. You definitely had to be able to pull all that up from somewhere.

I so love these talks between you and your cast mates especially Mary/Erin. To hear of how you felt at the time you were on the Waltons, with the acting and crying and just navigating through your scenes is like a window into who you all are as individuals. I had a real crush on John Boy. He had such passion for the woman he fell in love with that drew me in and made me want to find someone some day that would love me like that. Judy - I hope you will be doing more interviews with Mary and the other Walton siblings. I love this so much. Thank you for doing this.
Are any of the props still around, like furniture, the living room rug, the radio they listened to , the cash register at Ikes Godsyes store things like that. Thanks Judy love your channel.

Thank you, Judy and Mary, for keeping Erin and Mary Ellen in our hearts. I watch The Waltons every day, as it comes on local tv two times. Last week I just watched The Fawn and The Pinup (again), and today’s chat brought extra insight for the next time I watch them!! Mary, in this chat I also enjoyed watching your pretty dog in your yard behind you! Keep up these chats, Judy. 😍
Your tie to the “ family “ just proves what family values, core values, were held . You two talking to each other, honestly like blood family! Erin….sorry it was the Tom boy Mary who had my heart!! Haha but you were all beautiful folks. Thank you for this great interview.
Love and agree with your comments about the body of work in this amazing ensemble that was "The Waltons." Such a lot of talent, so many beautiful souls. Thank you for another beautiful interview! 💜

Mary is hilarious in her description of Ralph jumping around on his first directorial assignment! Although I didn't work on this episode I can assure you Ralph calmed down in later episodes! I had the unique experience of working both as an actor and PA on the FOUNDERS DAY episode with Ralph. Our Guest Star was Oscar-Winner DEAN JAGGER who played PROFESSOR BOWEN. Ralph's splendid, patient handling of Dean as he struggled with his lines was amazing given the fact Dean kept calling me "Dayton" and Ralph "Mr. Cartwright" (Bonanza) while filming. Dean was a delight..and tolerated my un-ending questions about his role as GENERAL WAVERLY in my favorite movie WHITE CHRISTMAS. I know I've said this before, but getting to watch the show after all these years is a real eye-opener as most of us involved with the production worked long hours which prevented us from watching the show on Thursday nights. Thank you Mary for making me laugh this morning...we did have a lot of fun. What a blessing the show has been in my life! And you know what Judy, maybe you should think about some segments devoted to the amazing GUEST STARS we had on the show.
Just incredible! I have a very fast paced stressful career. I just can’t wait to have dinner and enjoy all your posts. The interviews with cast members really do mean so much to me! Judy, life is tough - as you know- in the last few years. The joy you bring to us is really priceless! I hope, in some way, you and the cast members are spiritually “paid” for all your time invested in these posts. They bring joy, relaxation, and a calm to my life after a stressful day in the office. Please know your posts, interviews and Ask Judy segments are very much appreciated. Please keep them coming ! I
Love these conversations with you and your fellow cast members Judy! That connective tissue and family bond comes shining thru. You and Mary touched on so many episodes. The Fawn, the first casualty. The Easter story. They are all special in their own way. I must tell you I was crying right along with the family when Ralph read Curts letter and GW's letter. The Waltons were something extraordinary and that speaks volumes about why the show captured the hearts of viewers. Have a great weekend Judy and please keep these coming! Thank you so much!

I just absolutely loved all three parts of this interview with Mary. Thank you so very much Judy. The conversation brought back great memories of episodes that I loved on "The Waltons."
Awesome as always I would love to see you interview David Harper. I believe he was a natural at acting so much so that he really never actually acted but was just himself. A great talent for sure
I grew up in Highland County about 40 miles from Walton's Mountain near Doe Hill. My best friends my age, I am now 68 owned a sawmill with a large family like the Walton's had. I can relate, have experienced and been thru every episode of the Waltons in my real life. The Walton's saga had 100% on my upbringing and the way I developed in life. Everyone of the episodes will forever be held deeply in my heart and in my memories. So much Love.....
All of you were fantastic in your roles-But I must say Mary McDonough brought Erin to life, in way that was so real. I was among many who had a crush on Mary..
Thank You for sharing your stories on and off camera, Love hear about ralph Waite Directing the episode's .. Love hearing from Erin - Mary McDonough her stories and your own . history on and off camera... Love you you tube channel....
Erin Walton, in The Pin UP that was your greatest kiss! Wow. You couldn't go out and play until you had answered ALL your fan mail! I couldn't go out and play until I had written the occasional thank you note. Who had it worse? Mary, I would think your fan mail changed as Erin evolved and grew into such a wonderful person. You had so many charming episodes. Add me to your crush list in 2022. Judy, I so agree with your comments on David Harper!. I am surprised that he would grow up to be one of my favorites with his simple, pure straighforward quiet non-acting. He was the one to root for. Jim Bob touches me in so many different ways. The new dog in the house, Nick, chews up all his clothes and Jim Bob just shrugs and says, "Nick, you better cut it out." And Jim Bob has quiet, sly humor and isn't afraid to blow someone off like Elizabeth when he wants to be alone...
Yes, you two were raised on a farm and knew the life. In yesterday's episode Cindy was infuriated that as she tried to join in everyone pushed her away telling her as a delicate flower to go take a nap as they had been raised to hoe and raise chickens while she had not. Cindy wanted to commit hari kari on them and actually pushed Erin right out of her little house in a fit because of it. The death of the animals on The Waltons is no joke. Everyone was a heart breaker and now in the Cindy supposedly not able to do anything episode here she is shooting Elizabeth's beloved horse as he breaks his leg... I acquired this kitchy metal peacock sculpture that I have in the garaged appropriately named Rover. Jim Bobs and my pride & joy!
ANXIOUSLY AWAITING MARY MCDONOUGH, PART 4! I'm sorry, but there is always more to say :In an interview MM is saying of herself, (paraphrase) "I have never seen myself as beautiful but what is true about me is that i am the all american girl and I think that is what people relate to." Speaking of Jim-Bob, in today's new repeat some girl is claiming she is carrying his baby. As we like to see Erin as chaste, the secret of her appeal, I think maybe the audience kind of fells the same way about Jim-Bob?
I very much enjoy listening to the two of you reminisce about your time on "The Waltons." It's all so interesting. Thank you so much Judy and Mary for sharing these fun interviews.

Judy I really look forward to these segments every Monday and Thursday. Would you consider adding a day? Loved your interview with Mary. I hope you can interview all of the other actors at some point. It would be really interesting to interview guest starts such as Pippa Scott , Sissy Spacek , and many others . Big fan of The Walton’s . Always have been. What would you think of interviewing your guest stars?
Another perfect interview with Mary. Just to hear these stories you would think it was just yesterday and not decades since filming. I always thought for those crying scenes you always had to think of a sad personal family thing. 😪😭How's that. 😁
You two were/are natural classic beauties, which kept the ratings high I’m sure. I think one of my brothers might have been one of your wedding proposals and he was a Stud in our school. You two might have ruined it for the girls in our junior high with big brother. Respect. I think the wholesomeness of the show stopped your ascensions into mega stardom, becoming a one word name, aka (Farrah) Looks an acting chops, you two could have conned your way in real life. Cow 🐄 raccoon 🦝 cat 🐈 died, waah 😭 Love your works. Thank you!!

I can be honest 50 years later, that watching The Waltons as an 8-9yo boy, I had a crush on every one of the Walton sisters at one time or another. I love these episodes and interviews, because they bring back such fond memories of my childhood watching your show with my mom 💜
I grew up on a farm in Napa Valley. We did cry over the deaths of our farm animals. I cried right along with you in those scenes! You both were so good!
Thank you for sharing! I appreciate Mary's perspective, her memories. Among them the wonderful anecdote about Ralph's direction of her at the dining room table I like how reflections bring those no longer with us closer - Ralph, Ellen, Will and others. Jim Bob was a favorite character for me because of what David brought to Jim Bob; the choices David made. So much goes into what is broadcast, it is nice, very nice to go behind the scenes.

Thanks, again, to you “sisters“! It’s so good to see Mary’s comfort & your happy reflections together. Special thanks for “The First Casualty”, such a stellar, beautifully written, acted & directed story! Mary’s respect for its importance was conveyed even as a teen, through her sensitive portrayal of Erin’s complex relationship with G.W., the pressures war adds, and shock, regret, loss & love... David Doremus could not have been better, either! So much so, when I saw the episode recently I had to remind myself David attended a Waltons Reunion (maybe more). Otherwise tears would’ve been worse! I’m also so glad you both mentioned some of David Harper’s strengths, which could go unsung due to their subtlety & consistency. I’m continually amazed at the deftness & commitment of all of you!!! Only outshone by your kindhearted spirits. Thanks for sharing this conversation. I hope Mary will offer her spirit here, again. Maybe delve into what Kami Cotler mentioned were a specialty of Mary’s ~ funny voices & characters. :) Best Wishes for peace & happiness

Judy, thank you again for sharing more of your conversation with Mary. You both are delightful. I love the way you sometimes finish each others' sentences and how you listen to each other very intently, but also very caringly. You really feel like family to each other. Such a delight. I also love the way you obviously love the other "Waltons" and how you just shine when you get to compliment them. Both of your spirits of generosity shine clearly through. I think that is why you both came across so honestly as Mary Ellen and Erin. Thank you both for all the years of pleasure you have shared and continue to share with us.
Superb to watch you two sisters hang out via video chat and letting us join in. Erin was more sensitive out of all the daughters but also very strong and brave. I really enjoyed your conversation! I always loved Ralph Waites director episodes because they were always highlighted the characters acting like real kids with a lot of activity. He had a really strong directorial viewpoint, for sure!
After binging on so many of these videos i just went on hallmark channel. My husband is going to freak when he sees everything i set to record. A few episodes and, I think, every special you all made after the series ended. There were more that i thought! Can't wait.
Hi Judy. These "interview" videos really should be in the National Archives at some point, because The Waltons TV series is certainly an American treasure!!
It is obvious that all of you are very fond of each other and that is so nice to have your own family and then your extended family. And how nice for all of you to still be in touch with each other after all of these years. Here is the interesting part for me. I have always loved the Walton family so much that in a way I feel a kinship with them even though it was just TV. But your marvelous and sincere acting skills plus the writing just made it feel that way. And now being able to see the more personal sides of all of you shows that even off camera you are all warm and lovely people. Which in turn adds to a more warmness feeling with me. It is such a pleasure seeing Mary and how she has matured into such a lovely woman. So wonderful to hear you and her talk about the past and the present. Hearing Eric, Jon and Kami leaves me with the same feelings. If you could have a conversation with Michael, how awesome that would be. I understand David has left show business and may be a little more private but he was an intrical part of the family and it would be awesome to see him too. I believe The Homecoming and The Waltons will go down in history as one of the finest and best written shows ever because of the love, the warmness and the realities of life it created. I know that in real life we all have had good and troubled times and thing we would do different if we could go back. But when it comes down to the nitty gritty, you guys in real life are very much like the Waltons.
Wow so good to see mary she still looks pretty and ty judy for the video love all your interviews ,have u ever had a interview with john boy ,ty again and be save judy.
It is so neat to see 2 actresses, who are friends, reminisce - that share the same experiences in a different way and can appreciate now how wonderful that was and understand it better.
So true. Such fun for us, too.
I really didn't want you conversation to end so fast. TU, Judy & to Mary too....of course! Blessings! 😊

Yes, Jim-Bob was the perfect person to tell Mary Ellen about Curt. He had a quiet, understated dignity about him.
Absolutely heartbreaking.
Is it any wonder that the Walton's remained a hallmark in family viewing!! These relationships were real and it shined through the TV cameras right into our hearts!! I did not grow up in M
America but even in the Caribbean islands, entire families would gather every Sunday night to watch the weekly episodes. To see Mary and Judy communicate they way they did in these segments, you would truly believe they are sisters. Love love love!!💕
Thank you for sharing. We truly are a real family.
You both shed years speaking to each other. Such youthful glows and excitement in your reminiscing.
So fun to chat together.
I love these interviews it's like a real family reunion not two actors talking about a show they worked on. I like how you refer to the adults as momma, daddy grandpa and grandma not always by their names it makes everything so much more about a true family than a show.
We’ve been in each other’s lives so long we are like real family.
@@judynorton2598 and it shows! ❤️
I really hope you are able to do a reunion show to celebrate Ralph Waite have all the kids come home for a funeral and have john buried on the mountain with grandpa and grandma and allow us to catch up on the family
@@judynorton2598 you're can tell that you have been in each other's life a long time
When the series debuted, Erin (Mary) was so young.
Thank you so much.
When I was a kid I had a crush on Bridget Hanley from ‘Here Come the Brides’
She recently died, sad.
I was a 14 -19 year old boy during the run of Charlie’s Angels.
That show was just gasoline on a fire for a boy going through puberty in the 70s.
😍
The Scenes were done so well that I feel if they tried to do a remake they could never capture what was captured in this series.
I’m so glad you felt the scenes were well done. I agree it’s hard to recapture that with a remake.
I watched Mary on Patrick Madrids program. Both Mary and you are so gorgeous. The whole history about the show and the actors would take a lifetime to explain what it takes to put everything together. To me The Walton's was one of the greatest shows or programs ever made at any time.
Thank you so much.
No matter how many times I see Daddy reading GW's letter to Erin I always cry! All of the acting was incredibly real & heartfelt. Thanks for your co-star interviews!
I agree, beautiful scene, Very well done
I agree. Not sure how someone could watch that and not be moved.
I agree. It’s such a strong scene.
Me to
Hello Ms.Judy and Ms.
Thank you so much.
These wonderful conversations are a bonus gift from you all to us and I thank you for your generosity in sharing your memories and experiences during your years on the Waltons.
Our pleasure! Thanks for joining us.
Thank you so much.
Totally agree that the scene with the kids and deer walking by the truck was exceptional!
I loved that. So inspired.
Speaking of crying…I’m 60 and I still cry every day at 11:00 am when I watch each episode each day! I was 9 in 1971 and if you only knew how much y’all inspired my true life!! :-) Only I found out the hard way having a large family is easier said than done! :-)
Okay, now I have to go back and watch The Fawn, The First Casualty, Day of Infamy and The Pinup Girl again!
😊
I grew up in the 70's. Watched a lot of tv. But, somehow, never saw an episode of The Waltons.
(Mom and Dad liked cop dramas.)
When I was old enough to make my own viewing choices I was into science fiction and considered myself too "Cool" to watch something like The Waltons.
I love that! I’m so glad you have found the show now and that you are enjoying it. And thanks for checking out my TH-cam channel :)
Glad you enjoy these interviews.
@@movieprod And it sure shows in the final product. A valiant effort done by all. I can see you ALL cared not only about the show but for each other.
@@movieprod Hey John. Thanks for the reply. Based on the few people I've met (Jeff Daniels for one) they all come across as super approachable and super humble. I am glad - at least in your experience - it's been 99.9% great people.
We know how fortunate we are to have worked on such a show with the amazing people who have become my family.
Very well said!!! I agree
How fortunate you all were, to work with the people you got to work with. (and each other}. The only people more fortunate were all of us for getting to witness it.
We all feel very fortunate.
Nice when roles allow you to do that because they are so real.

Absolutely true about the “invented” stories.
I remember the Waltons when it first came out. Looking back all these years I still watch the show. The Waltons was the greatest TV show of all time. I wish there was shows like this nowadays. To bad the show ended.
We had an amazing team.

I love that. You have your own special connection to the show.

Sometimes a challenge to be experiencing the same things in real life :)

Great Show Judy 🥂
Thanks for watching.
Thanks John - always great to hear your recollections :)

Awesome as always I would love to see you interview David Harper. I believe he was a natural at acting so much so that he really never actually acted but was just himself. A great talent for sure
Agree!
He sure came across that way.
Very cool. I hope you have enjoyed your life as much as we enjoyed portraying it.
All of you were fantastic in your roles-But I must say Mary McDonough brought Erin to life, in way that was so real. I was among many who had a crush on Mary..
I understand. :)

I’m so glad David’s understated simplicity as Jim Bob was appreciated.
Wonderful interview. Both you and Mary discussing the show is so enjoyable. Hopefully Mary will be returning in future episodes.

Glad you enjoyed our chat.
Another perfect interview with Mary. Just to hear these stories you would think it was just yesterday and not decades since filming. I always thought for those crying scenes you always had to think of a sad personal family thing. 😪😭How's that. 😁
Each actor finds their own way on that.
@@judynorton2598 Gotcha, makes sense.
You two were/are natural classic beauties, which kept the ratings high I’m sure.
I think one of my brothers might have been one of your wedding proposals and he was a Stud in our school.
You two might have ruined it for the girls in our junior high with big brother.
Respect. I think the wholesomeness of the show stopped your ascensions into mega stardom, becoming a one word name, aka (Farrah)
Looks an acting chops, you two could have conned your way in real life. Cow 🐄 raccoon 🦝 cat 🐈 died, waah 😭 Love your works. Thank you!!
Thanks for watching and for sharing your thoughts.
💜🍃 So great to see you two together laughing and talking about great times you had on the Waltons set. 😉😍
This is Awesome! Thank you Judy 🙋🏼♀️
So glad you enjoyed it.

I can be honest 50 years later, that watching The Waltons as an 8-9yo boy, I had a crush on every one of the Walton sisters at one time or another. I love these episodes and interviews, because they bring back such fond memories of my childhood watching your show with my mom 💜
That’s so sweet. Thank you.
Same...lol
Memories are the best, great interview 👏. Thank you, Ms. Judy.
Glad you enjoyed it.
I grew up on a farm in Napa Valley. We did cry over the deaths of our farm animals. I cried right along with you in those scenes! You both were so good!
Thank you for sharing that with me.
They are all so special, but I agree with you there was something about Jim Bob that tugged at my heart as well.
Glad you are enjoying these.
Love this part 3 interview between you Ms Judy and Ms Mary. Love the personal stories the most. Thank you Ms Judy. Have a awesome rest of your day and weekend.
Thank you so much.

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely comments.
@@judynorton2598 💜I don’t know how you read so many, Judy (even a day+ later). But you’re so gracious to reply. We’re trying to thank YOU!😄
(I even feel bad adding to your “inbox”, again, now. :)
As with seemingly all who look for your videos, it’s surprisingly but genuinely comforting to see your joy and reflections; your supportive relationships, for all of you, with your extended family continuing; your talent beyond the Waltons (singing, musical theater… will we get a Horse video when you run out of episodes? :).. I hope! You can expand in any way you choose.)… I also think seeing your connections here with your outreach somehow makes the feelings inspired by all of you through the scripted series feel they continue growing “in the real world”. They do, of course, far beyond lives touched by Waltons connections. Yet what you’re doing here is a public service, too - because of the regard you express in your efforts. I’m far from alone in appreciating & thanking you! (Now, no reply needed to this!😁) Thank you & Wishing you Peace ~~~
Hello Judy! I was so looking forward to this episode! I also loved the episodes Ralph directed you can see how he would capture scenes differently and I think it was the connection to all of you. You both did so wonderful in the crying scene I was crying with you. The Walton's will always be the BEST show EVER! Thank you so much Judy! Have a very Happy 4th of July!
Thank you so much.

I didn’t want that interview to end! I throughly enjoyed this from you all’s perspective, and I really enjoyed hearing about Ralph Waite as a director. It sounds like you had many good experiences with him.
Me either
Happy to hear that. There is one more part of this interview still to come.

Thank you again Judy and Mary for your look back. I sure enjoy these
Happy to hear that.
This show was part of my childhood, our family would watch as a family all together and my fondest memories. My mother has been diagnosed with dementia and I found the show and we would watch it and it was our special time. I recently found you can buy the whole series and I’m saving to buy it like a piece of my childhood. Loved the interview ladies thank you

That is so touching to hear that you are able to share the show with your mom. I’m sorry to hear she is suffering from dementia. 🙏
Two beautiful ladies who both wear their years very well. Thanks for the great video.
Thank you so much.
So glad you enjoyed our little chat. Such fun for us too.
@@judynorton2598 My pleasure and I am happy you so clearly enjoyed it. Peace.
Superb to watch you two sisters hang out via video chat and letting us join in. Erin was more sensitive out of all the daughters but also very strong and brave. Love the info on Ralph Waite's directing methods and how he changed from director to actor and back to director. Thank you for this Judy and best wishes to you from your waltonian superfan in sunny England😉
Thanks for joining us for our little chat.
That was fun. Thanks Judy and Mary!
Our pleasure.
Thank you for your chats with cast members. I particularly love your interraction with Mary. I could have listened to you all day! 👍❤💙💚
So happy to hear that. One more part to come.

One last part still to come. :)
Thats it Judy and Mary need to have a talk show. You both would be so interesting to listen to. 🥰
At least a Walton's live TH-cam show so we could interact with them & ask questions.
That would be fun.
Thanks again Judy for doing these ! I love all the insight. . and yes as a 12 -13 year old i had crushes on you, Mary and Brooke Shields. . :)
Sweet :)
Once again, so great to "listen" in on your memories with Mary.
Thank you!
Thanks for listening

Funny you mention the Homecoming! It always made me chuckle when John Boy gave you heck for making fun of Elizabeth and wanting to have kittens…being the oldest of my family children, that scene is so very true.
So sweet to look back on that.
Great to get to see the rest of this , thanks alot!
Our pleasure. There will be one more as well :)
Awesome
That was definitely one of my crying from watching the Waltons
I understand :)
I really enjoyed your conversation! I always loved Ralph Waites director episodes because they were always highlighted the characters acting like real kids with a lot of activity. He had a really strong directorial viewpoint, for sure!
I totally agree!
After binging on so many of these videos i just went on hallmark channel. My husband is going to freak when he sees everything i set to record. A few episodes and, I think, every special you all made after the series ended. There were more that i thought! Can't wait.
I love that! Thanks for continuing to watch.
Hi Judy. These "interview" videos really should be in the National Archives at some point, because The Waltons TV series is certainly an American treasure!!
Thank you so much.
Great interview. The Walton kids were like regular kids that I could identify with. I would had loved to be part of the family.
Happy to hear that.
Loved Erin!
🥰
Thank you so much for your kind words.
Wow so good to see mary she still looks pretty and ty judy for the video love all your interviews ,have u ever had a interview with john boy ,ty again and be save judy.
Richard shared a “hello” message on one of my videos but hasn’t been possible to do a sit down with him.
