This made me cry a little. I was 12 when my dad died. He worked long hours as a cab driver. I think of him when I feel like giving up on education and entrepreneurship.

I wanted to go to school for fashion but I kept getting knocked back. I just studied on TH-cam and now I’m practice more and have more time to practice. She just really made me want to continue doing it. I get so much negativity from people about pursuing it. I want to watch her now. ❤❤
I love this story, she wanted something and took matters into her own hands. I love youtube as well, I have learned so many things myself as well, from wig making, fixing my toilet, and assembling my fishtank. Im also into fashion I may start to watch some youtube tutorials myself. God bless this woman she is awesome and seems like a sweetheart.
I never thought I would learn how to change the ink for my printer but after my husband was gone for 2 weeks teacher youtube thought me that 😆

KUDOS & Welcome to the club👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. My journey began with 4 Saturday classes @ a local H.S on how to read a pattern & construct a skirt by older Caribbean woman...Then life thru curve balls...&....I discovered tons of sewing tutorial videos on TH-cam & now I been very fortunate to promote my designs at Pop Up Shops & have gotten compliments on my work from older seamstress' s.
Wow this is good, I have been doing this since beginning of this year teaching myself fashion designing with TH-cam videos. I never knew someone has done this successfully in the past. This is definitely an inspiration. Thank you for sharing the story.

I’m not so sure I agree with the people saying that she was born with the talent. I had not one single ounce of talent for sewing that I was born with. I am also TH-cam trained, and my talent is 100% hard work and dedication. I have not achieved her level, but I am in awe of the work that she put in to learn this skill. It kind of pisses me off when people tell me I’m “lucky” I can sew. There’s no luck at all. I chose to put in the work over years and years, and so did she. She deserves the credit.

This is motivating. I have always wanted to learn sewing. I will appreciate if anyone can suggest TH-cam channels that can help one learn effectively in this regard.

there're tones of good chanels for that. I also recommend to study Fashion History so you can really create your own designs. I'm a fashion designer who still learns a lot from TH-cam myself. It's not because we went to the University it means we know it all. Good luck on your pursue and be ready to dedicate years of your life to this art. This is my number one passion since I was 9 and now I'm 45. :)
