I ran a wave for over 10 years, sent back to leatherman a few times for broken tools, I loved it. Switched to the Arc recently and haven’t missed my wave a single time. The Arc is the perfect multi tool for me.
I currently don't carry a multitoool everyday. I used to carry a leatherman Fuse everyday and do the whole batman utility belt kinda thing, but eventually stopped that. When I stopped that the full sized multitool became at work only ( I eventually got a Bond ), and I started carrying a mini " keychain sized " multitool in my pocket organizer everyday. For that I found the sadly long gone Sebertool m2 & M4 models by Sebertech, they are the absolute best mini multitools ever made hands down because they're not fragile little things. I eventually decided to try a 4" pair of slipjoint pliers instead of a multitool, and I go back and forth between the Sebertools and my Snapon 44acf slipjoint pliers which I have been carrying for almost a year this time.
Sure but the other tools suck. I don't need or want a can opener and cap lifter ( never use cap lifters ) enough to dedicate most of a multitool to them.
I broke a leatherman skeletool blade cutting a thick briar bush. Then broke one of the jaws on the pliers bending a little piece of metal. I couldn't believe it caus it wasn't anything extreme. I sent it in and they replaced the blade and the pliers. Said the one I had was tempered incorrectly. They have great customer service.
I just bought a Leatherman arc last week, I love it. It is definitely an expensive multitool but as a knife guy, i love the magnacut blade. and i like being able to swap out tools from other free series tool to really get the perfect mt for me.
Ick, mono audio.heh Run your audio through Audacity or whatever program you wish and make a stereo track. It may not bother some, but it is rather noticeable when listening on home audio system.
I had a Charge tti, old wave, new wave+, Surge, Supertool. The best i ever used and still do is the Victorinox Swisstool X. Its a beast, build to last.
Just ordered the P4. Do I need it ? No. Just want it before it's gone. My Wave Plus and Victorinox Spirit serve all my multi tool needs above and beyond. I'll work on getting the Arc next, just to have in my collection. Did I mention I'm a multi tool addict ?....lol.
I have a skeletool but it feels hard on my hand. Have switched to the Gordon multitool that is like an upgrade to the wave. Got it for $32 with discount! I carry the Sog powerpint when I need less weight in my pocket.
I have the Sidekick & the Wingman. I like the Sidekick for the saw when I'm hiking or camping, but the Wingman is good for the scissors. A Leatherman is one of my EDC items & I just had to buy a new belt pouch this week.
I frankensteined my wingman.. I use the wingman, than put the straight edged sidekick blade on it and then i stripped the 3 usless tools on the right side and installed a charge bit adapter.. The bit adapter doesnt fold into the handle like the other tools,. But the bit holder sticks out like the skeletool.. This set up works best for me..
It seems like you’re referring to Schamberg’s disease, also known as progressive pigmentary dermatosis of Schamberg. This is a chronic skin condition that usually affects the feet, legs, or thighs1. It’s characterized by the development of reddish-brown patches on the skin
i carried the skeletool for over 5 years at work since my uses are light duty. recently switched to the sog power pint as a coworker sold me on the compound leverage pliers. the blade sucks but i always have multiple blades on me so its fine. my supervisor just got a wingman and a kydex sheath for belt carry. its nice but i remember getting my wingman under $40 bucks but that was 10 years ago when it was new. lost my first one. wish i got a juice s2 but i have the c2 and im going to pull it out of rotation in favor of the skeletool. at this point im not willing to pay the price to replace it after all these years and i would be mad if i lost or broke it. wave, surge and sog powerlock stay at home unless i know ill be needing that much tool
The micra has been my go to for the last 10 years. There's a state surplus near me that sells used ones for $3 a pop so I always have a backup if needed. Can't beat it!
I carry a Wave+ everyday while a Surge stays in my motorbike. As for blades, I always carry a couple of well-worn Opinels while the nicer stuff stays in my pristine collection.
I just got my first Leatherman, a Curl but really want a Micra got my eyes on a blue one. I love the utilitarian aspect. I am still faithful to the Para 3 for my EDC. Love your content. Be well!
Lol.. somebody has a fettish.. I tried a few multi tools over the years. I quit them cause theyre generally bulky and heavy, until I found the victorinox multi tools.. now I carry it everyday!
I’ve been carrying a free p4 everyday for the past 2 years….. I didn’t know they were discontinued, but I really have gotten so use to having it I can’t stop carrying it lol
I’ve had an arc since February. I’ve carried it almost everyday since. I try to go back to just carrying a knife, but I just can’t do it. I have now taken to carrying a knife as well as the arc even though the arc has a great knife 😆
Ever since i got the victorinox swiss X i cant use other brands they are horrible quality and tools dont make sense extremely soft steel just overall not good. I carried a Leatherman wave for years not great either. The price of victorinox stopped me ror a long time like over two hundred. But absolutely worth it..
Can you compare the rev compared to wingman. I have the rev and the plyer when you use it it feels so uncomfortable in my hand when using the plyers and my hand tends to slide when using any pressure. Or the kick and rev. It seems like the rev the handle are curved and makes it uncomfortable
Jeff, my all-time favorite multitool is the Leatherman Fuse. I got a limited edition safety orange Leatherman Fuse back in 2004 from Eddie Bauer. It came in a clam-shell package with the worst head lamp ever made by LED Lenser. I also got a few days later, the Leatherman removable bit driver kit. The removable bit driver fits perfectly on the end of the "truss-style" Phillips screwdriver that's on the Fuse, and it works with Leatherman's bits👍 Jeff, you really need to get and try out the Leatherman Fuse😁👍
I've got a black leatherman charge alx it's a retired model. Do u have one of those. I've actually got it listed for sale on Facebook lol. It's not worth a super high amount. it be cool to do a trade on something lol. Been watching you for a long long time just thought it be a cool story for me to tell my buddies. Love that leatherman mini tool. Have never seen one of those
At this point you are just a collector, so much redundancy here. The right tool for the right job is the way to go, multi tools are just a supplement for real tools.
I’m surprised you don’t have a charge, wave, surge, super tool 300, or rebar. That’s what I would’ve gone with. They’re all really good.
The rebar is a great tool. Has everything you need in a multi tool
Wave+ all the way. Unless someone wants a specific combination of tools.
Yea I agree I carry a bond and a super tool 300 every day
I ran a wave for over 10 years, sent back to leatherman a few times for broken tools, I loved it. Switched to the Arc recently and haven’t missed my wave a single time. The Arc is the perfect multi tool for me.
The tool set is about perfect on the Arc. I almost bought a Free P2 but the 1/2 serrated blade was a no go.
The sidekick punches pretty high for the price. It does a lot of what the $100-200 models do. It’s just not as refined. I think it’s underrated.
I can see you getting the Leatherman arc. If you loved the p4 you’ll definitely love the arc.
I currently don't carry a multitoool everyday.

But the thing with the mini is that it turns into a full size pliers when you open the other parts inside the handles
Sure but the other tools suck.
I don't need or want a can opener and cap lifter ( never use cap lifters ) enough to dedicate most of a multitool to them.

ive been watching your channel for about 9 years and ive carried a sidekick the whole time, I love it

I did the same thing but I used the wave bit holder and it folds in

I've been running the wave+ with a $5 clip off Amazon for a while, best friend in the machine shop
i carried the skeletool for over 5 years at work since my uses are light duty.
recently switched to the sog power pint as a coworker sold me on the compound leverage pliers. the blade sucks but i always have multiple blades on me so its fine.

Good collection. I am carrying the leatherman sideclip.
I carry a Wave+ everyday while a Surge stays in my motorbike. As for blades, I always carry a couple of well-worn Opinels while the nicer stuff stays in my pristine collection.
I have around 30 knives but only one multi tool.. the leatherman Charge, but I am looking to buy another tool
I been carrying victorinox for 10 years best one in my opinion
Which swisstool model is less bulky than other multitools?
@TylerSnyder305 mine is the "spirit x". I love it.
I’ve been carrying a free p4 everyday for the past 2 years….. I didn’t know they were discontinued, but I really have gotten so use to having it I can’t stop carrying it lol
Can you please tell me the name and where I can get that roll? thank you
What is the "auto tool" you talked about? Is it the Victorinox AutoTool MultiTool?
We are officially the “doing the most materialistic “ generation
Always love your videos Jeff stay healthy
Love that you enjoy your wingman. It always gets overlooked. 💖
I’ve had an arc since February. I’ve carried it almost everyday since. I try to go back to just carrying a knife, but I just can’t do it. I have now taken to carrying a knife as well as the arc even though the arc has a great knife 😆
Where did you get that case ?.......thanks !
Def rec wave or surge, esp in the kudex holsters sold on amazon
Nice collection. I have a Gerber that's decent but never gets used.
Ever since i got the victorinox swiss X i cant use other brands they are horrible quality and tools dont make sense extremely soft steel just overall not good. I carried a Leatherman wave for years not great either. The price of victorinox stopped me ror a long time like over two hundred. But absolutely worth it..
Anyone know the model of the black handle next to the Skeletool?
Free k4 or k2
You know any models that are still available that has the magnet locks?
The Leatherman arc or the Leatherman k2 or k4.
Arc seems to be the ticket. If you can get the military discount, it's worth it

I like the setup
Whats the blue Leatherman thats on the far left of the micros?
It's the single sided juice
Long discontinued as well
Carried my surge every day for years now
I've got a black leatherman charge alx it's a retired model. Do u have one of those. I've actually got it listed for sale on Facebook lol. GOAT tool, or new Roxon is my guess.
I picked up a Chage TTI, and can’t see myself carrying anything else.
Wow , where can I find a bag like that ?? Nice 👍
At this point you are just a collector, so much redundancy here. The right tool for the right job is the way to go, multi tools are just a supplement for real tools.
Nice chives.
Bees rock :) .... the victorinox Swiss tools aren't too shabby either 😉
you really need a juice s2
Jeff, did you get your mall cop job?
The tool man is a Jeff.
Don't you want scissors?
WHY ONLY 360P QUALITY FOR THIS VIDEO???
It’s not
Leatherman arc
Collector 😂
Wassup
are used to carry a Leatherman signal
I dislike MT's without an outside knife at least. Seems unnecessarily inconvenient.
moddern plier style MTs have a one handed accesable blade so it is a knife with extras...works the same way just heavier...
