You can always look up in the sky and try to see the storm when looking for the calamity. Also I found with that new boss is to stay in the room and loop around. You can use the pillars and stairs in there to keep distance, then pop your flame totem to hold the mobs at bay. Also try to clear your calamity markers before you go in by either not getting hit (easy to say) or using a mirror to call it in early and get rid of it. Don't want a calamity popping off during that fight.
I love your energy man and the videos as well. You seem really nice, and fun to watch. Really enjoy watching you play this game and I hope you continue to play more.
@ Of course. I definitely do enjoy hanging out and I will continue to do so. I’ve been looking for someone playing this game but haven’t found anyone. So I’m glad I stumbled upon you. I’m a big fan of rouglites so I’ll definitely check out some of your other videos.
Hey Goat, I've put 50 hours into the game since the Steam launch. I missed the last Witchfire video because I was staying with family over xmas but I'm happy it's back on the channel. I love that potions are automatically refilled and you use the potion crafting for additional effects now, there was a few times where I'd get used to not paying attention to my stash after crafting a whole bunch of potions and ending up with only one or two potions on an expedition. There's also an experimental setting in the options somewhere (down the bottom of one of the pages if I remember correctly) that has your spell icons briefly appear next to the crosshair when they come off cooldown. I find it very useful but I still slap the go button when they're on cooldown far too often.
The Kings Bell drops the bridge when you use it from your inventory. It's a guaranteed drop from the boss that you can spawn in from the tree stump in the clearing on the forest side of the bridge (as well as the familiars).
I cannot get enough of this game. Took some time but I'm finally pretty confident in myt runs. oh yea.. the weapon design in this game s like no other. So good
I didnt think a game could get me off the PoE2 grind, but I started playing this 5 days ago just for kicks, and fuck me, PoE is over and Im 30hrs into this thing already
Lol! Dude... Witchfire is so much fun and every run is different. You never really know what form chaos will take, but you do know the chaos is coming for you every single time.
My problem with this game in what I've watched of it is 2 fold. First, the enemies types are boring. Second, they come at you in waves of 2. A guy walking at you with a shield, requiring you to shoot his foot, and another zombielike creature. Halo 1 had better variety of enemies that would hide and work together. Halo. The original. I am a huge fps fan but I am just not understanding this game, it's $30, right? It's just repeat shooting npcs over and over with almost no story? And even the roguelike elements are negated by the fact the npcs just aren't difficult, it seems. I dunno. Marvel Rivals drops a free game, that includes a bot mode, yet I am supposed to pay $30 for a zombie guy and a shield guy to walk at me in a pve game? Maybe one day I will see something in this game that makes me want to try it and I will get it, but today is not that day. Also, the guns are just borderlands guns, but way less fancy... so, yeah. And you do you. Have fun.
My man, you need to actually play this game. The AI is smart, they'll deliberately flank you and melee units will put cover between themselves and you. Enemy variety is very good, there are a total of 39 enemy types atm with more to come. The game is hard and punishing, it might look easy because this guy is a good player, but many people who have played will tell you different. I've played borderlands 1 through 3 and can 100% say that the guns in Witchfire are far more interesting. There are currently 18 guns but the devs are aiming to double that figure by the time the game is done. The only observation you've made that I do agree with is the lack of story, but that's yet to come as the game is still in early access. If you like shooters, and you like challenging games, you'll honestly love Witchfire.

Wow... What kind of ranges do you typically see?

I could totally see that.
