hi, Camikaze ... Had you or can you to publish your Useroptions.ini file ?? It looks very well balanced between 'looking good' and 'contrasting for better performance' ... I use Potato.ini because it helps to see the enemy but I lost that 'high-quality visuals' that the GPU can handle easily. When I set the Graphics to ultra, of course, the experience is more 'immersive and cinematic' but to see the enemy becomes more difficult ... As previously was written, it seems that you got those 'graphics settings' parameters very well ... Of course, the video is probably filtered by plugins in your video editor, and very likely, you had tune-up your GPU settings ... but the UserOptions.ini would be a nice place from departure. Thanks.
It would be nice if you were to do some kind of a "advanced beginners guide to ps2" because as a complete noob myself I really need someone to explain stuff like outfits, player made bases, bastions, and those kind of stuff
Well.. i can give you some tips too it depend on you if you take it.. and people can correct me also. Outfits: Basically just a bunch of dudes and girls you can be friend with and be part of a good community. You can totaly live without them but a game of this size better to have saome friends to play with. You not gona play much if you end up dying in a fights where the enemy always 80%population. This is where outfits can be usefull because they can form a platoon and can even out fights.. And lead you to fights that can give you progression.. Not just dying over and over till the enemy gets the base. Player made bases: Now they not realy dat important.. They were the main focuse of the game when they got introduced and they called HIves.. You litherally win the continent if you had enough HIve that make enough points.. Now the only use of them is Router and Orbital strikes.. You Build Router bases near the warpgate so your team or platoon can have a spawn option farther out in a fight without having to worrie of sunderers or beacons getting destroyed.. The other things are Orbital strikes. .YOu build bases near Bases that usually hard to defend or constantly have a big fight at them. And when it's ready you orbital strike the enemy so you can get the base back or get the base generally. Bastion: They are tied to Ourfits.. Only one can be active for each faction. And they cost a decent ammount of resorces that outfits gain by capturing certain bases.. Aaand.. They don't do much more then a platoon of galaxies.. Yes it's harder to destroy but you can't capture bases from it.. YOu can't just drop out from it, you have to fly an ESF (Empire Specific Fighter) out.. And they can have more then a platoon worth of people in them but they only have like a squad full guns.. And half of the guns are air defense. .They sure can be anoying when you already losing a fight and a bastion shows up but theynot realy that big of a deal. Oh yeah and only outfit members can use it..So even if you are in a platoon that basically a whole outfit you just got there for why not you can't get in the Bastion with them.. You stay gound force.. Or can go air support the bastion.. Also flying them is not like anything in the game you basically just click onthe map and commant the bastion to go there, and thats it. Annd those kind of stuffs.. Weeell. a Daddy and a Mommy like each other very very much. . . THEY GO INTO A F@CKING BATLE WITH THE TR AND THE NC AT TI ALLOY BEACAUSE THEY SERVE TEH VANU SOVEREIGNTY!!! PAPA VANU FOR EVEER AHAHAHAHAHAHAA Have fun and hope this helped you for a litle.. xD There are more to these but as a new player this is basically what you have to know.. YOu can get more info by joining an Outfit they usualy help you if you have any question. Or just ask anything at a warpgate.. Most of the platoons regroup at there and they might stop jsut to answer a question. :D Have fun.. And don't shoot the purple guys in spandex. ;)
Being serious, just join mentor squads and ask questions, best case scenario you get a cool squad lead that invites you to their outfit. You really need a good outfit for this game to be fun, I played solo for a while and it was pretty good, but I kinda hate it now. So much more fun and unlocks so many playstyles if your with a group. Plus most outfits are super good about answering questions
For players struggling with horizontal recoil, you're either firing too many shots or you're too far away from what you're shooting at. You can think of spread (cof)/horizontal in the same manner as though you were being entered into a lottery you don't want to win. Don't want to win the lottery? Don't participate in it. The weapons in this game are extremely accurate when used properly. (This is also assuming you have a reasonable mouse/sensitivity/dpi/surface.)
Great video. Would be nice to see how the attachments affect the stats. Some attachments give a number, like the fwd grip. Some don't, like the compensator. Also, all the stats you mention are not included on the weapon-selection screen. All it shows is Crouch, Crouch-move, Stand, Stand-move "accuracy" , and Accuracy loss per shot fired. With unitless numbers. Where do you get all your detailed weapon stats from??
And let's not even get into the NS weapons, which like to pull _left_ for some reason.... Kidding aside: Nice tutorial! Even if it did feature more math than I'm comfortable with (which is to say, any).

Great video. Maybe could've mentioned the shotty mechanics for you NC TKers out there. It's that the game will take a point in the CoF and will then spread the pellets around it, right? So that means some pellets can even be out of the original cone of fire if my memory serves correctly. (But yeah it's more a CoF thingy than a recoil one. Still affects "shotgun precision" though)
Shotgun mechanics is certainly something that would have been worth discussing for sure! Might look at making that into it's own video but we'll see how we go, thanks for the feedback mate!
This is a video that might help out some people. You should do a video to explain there’s not a hacker under every rock, and people are able to master aiming without hacking 😭😭
If people don't know what "recoil" is the term "kick" will not make lots of sense. You did explain fairly well but remember that language needs to be simple and you need to explain everything. "Tap fire" shooting short bursts is easy to understand.
Are the recoil numbers on the weapon stat card in game? Also what do the numbers next to accuracy represent? Like the NC anchor accuracy numbers are 0.03/0.2/0.03/0.35/0.06
No im new and i hate Skillbased matchmaking in games ! (in other game mode like ranked maybe) It destoys Games. You cant see any sort of improvment, if you just play with guys that are on your level.
The number one reason my friend stop playing PlanetSide what's gun handling.. Number one reason new player to leave the game they initiate a fight and lose it because of gun handling.. He wanted a skill-based shooter you got it but you drove away all the new players because of the gun handling
When I tried getting back into Planetside 2 the random recoil patterns and cone of fire turned me away from what is otherwise a great shooter. Any semi-competitive FPS should be minimizing RNG mechanics while you aim. Random recoil makes gun handling feel inconsistent and awkward but it's manageable in this game because the kick is easy to control. In my opinion COF is the main culprit. The concept of having every automatic gun in this game forcibly land shots away from where you aim because I don't tap fire or stand still while I shoot makes the gunplay not as satisfying. I've never played any other FPS that has COF in aim-down-sight.
@@brewergamer not close irl is no where as bad with grouping as guns in planetside 2 unless these future soldiers are using extremely primitive and poorly made firearms
I am confused about the tolerance. Can u explain to me if it’s better to have it elevated so that more shots will go on a single direction. Or if it’s better to have shots go on both directions, therefore having a smaller tolerance?

Am i too dumb or too smart for this? Because i don't understand a single number and calculation here, but i'm usually just go to VR traning go to a target board and let go of the mouse and see where the bullets go.. And according to that i compensate. LIke.. What is all this about.. 10 minute video just about numbers and angle and what not and yeah thats cool and alll... But you hardly noticing any of these in a fight.. (At least i don't or not in in this complicated way). I just can't understand why is all these numbers are important? xD Like you can just walk up to a shooting board in the VR training pick up your mouse so it dosesnet move at all. And shoot whith ADS. And then you will see where and how the gun shoots. You can see there when the bloom is start to get bigger then a target head and you can see where it's kicking.. The individual bullets doesent realy matter at all.. There are no gun in the game that fires full auto and has 0horizontal kick at all. All of them will kick a litle to the side.. Don't get me wrong.. i like your rview videos.. couse i like to have others opinion on a gun i want to use. But in the recoil session the only thing e look is the balcked out what it is with the dots in it to see how the gun kicks to yellow. The red is basically irrelevent couse at that point you don1t hit anything at all. And if you can compensate that.. Wow.. Respect.. That is..WOW.. I can't and i'm not even trying to.. I will stay just casual. .xD No need to be that tryhard pro.
Yep, I get where you're coming from. But it's clear that this is for those who like to go "technical mode" or who like seeing numbers and deeper understanding on their weapons. And yeah in live engagements, you will most likely to forget all these technical information and usually just depend on your muscle memory of burst firing and CoF bloom on the weapon you're using.
This is mostly used for people who want to know what a new gun's recoil will be like or the greater elements that can affect recoil that is not muscle memory. This info is most helpful to those who already have muscle memory but want to know what RNG or other aspects they may encounter in gunplay and how to tell where a gun will work better instead of reading whatever flavor text.
I first i thought it was in my head that the weapons in this game were trash but now with stats I know they're trash. Having to burst fire while leading shots and compensating for drop while shooting someone in the same structure is already corny enough. This game will ruin your aim for other shooters or at least hold you back...
It be a blessing id first shot muti can be removed not a thing on my m4 on PS4 makes compensation extremely difficult bloom I understand but future soldiers can’t fire straight and honestly it hurts new players sends them into a bad experience my m249 saw can keep a decent shot placement at range and up close still Bugs me years later mouse and keyboard can manage it better but no need in rambling devs won’t change it can’t balance skill longer you play better you get it fu#king annoying

This game is not new. No many new factions guns,transport etc. And about recoil no stats in game. Since 2013 Lmg was nerfed .I return to game and see that LMGs is less accur. but still no good information about weapons stats Developers have no entusiasm to game .To what new player see this video)) Where this stats about all LMGs in game?LMGs are not comfortable now .New players play infiltrator or light assault .But now ...online is very low in Planetside2.As for me ..I return to game and sometimes play heavy ...early PulsarLSW and Bettelgeuse was better but now I play smg to move fast and to kill very fast . May be NC have better LMGs ... 6 years ago I was NC and LMGs was good and accur. I play only for outfit PS sorry for my bad eng. bc is not my native lang.

my problem with the game is not the recoil, but with 70 ms and 5 headshots they always kill me.
Im tired of perfectly tracking peoples head for cof (which face it is just bloom) just to make me hit their feet completely making my aim useless

The wiki shows the recoil bias (which direction it tends to go) on most guns.
Where do you find the recoil stats for weapons? It is not shown in game.

This video single-handedly drove me back away from this game again. When Call of Duty has more realistic weapon recoil mechanics that's truly saying something.
It's a sci-fi mmofps with hover tanks, space fighters, and laser guns. I dont think anyone plays it for realistic mechanics.
This game is not new. No many new factions guns,transport etc. And about recoil no stats in game. Since 2013 Lmg was nerfed .I return to game and see that LMGs is less accur. but still no good information about weapons stats Developers have no entusiasm to game .To what new player see this video)) Where this stats about all LMGs in game?LMGs are not comfortable now .New players play infiltrator or light assault .But now ...online is very low in Planetside2.As for me ..I return to game and sometimes play heavy ...early PulsarLSW and Bettelgeuse was better but now I play smg to move fast and to kill very fast . May be NC have better LMGs ... 6 years ago I was NC and LMGs was good and accur. I play only for outfit
