    I was playing with game improvements and I as a player wasn’t getting better. My friend told me to get the jpx tour if I as a player want to get better. I made the switch my score dropped but now after 1 year playing these irons, I can divot, draw, and cut!!! Also the distances for jpx tour are with 10 yards ……..EVERYTIME! Now I’m playing golf.
    These clubs will let you know when you miss! Make the change! Thanks again for the video! 🎉❤

    Have been using game improvement sticks for right at 10 years. Just got a set of these to try and make the switch over to a more player’s style club. Wish me luck!

    Thanks Jim, Thinking about doing a 4,5,6 in hot metal pro and 7,8,9,P,G in the forged. Still using the T20's from this summer. Was also able to swing the Accra 105 iSeries steel with really good results.

    Great video. Good to see some lefty love out there. Yep I 100% agree on the gap wedge being in the set. This is why I choose these over over brands that only go to pw in the iron set. Keep up the great work and lets see you hit a couple. cheers JB

    I managed to get a set of the MP20 SEL’s earlier this year.
    Fantastic irons
    These new SEL’s look just as good!
    Spoilt for choice .... not often I say that!

    Very helpful. Because I am contemplating being fitted for these. Currently using apex forged which I got as a temporary set in case I decided to go pxg gen 3 p - but price point especially in Europe is off the charts. Feel great though. Currently my shaft is the kbs graphite 90. Been testing various 7 iron heads on course including the new srixon, TM line, cobra forged Tec etc. Pity these don't come in leftie for the forged set by having said that my experience is that the performance - stability and even distance and feel- better than my apex (even though the 7 apex is 30.5 Vs 34 in the sel). Going a degree stronger is a good suggestion. The shaft I tested these in was lovely - project X lz 4.5r 75g. So tempting to hone in and even try out some different shafts and of course adjust lie to my swing. The idea of the gap wedge is appealing and I went the same way with the apex.

    Hi Jim,
    I'm currently awaiting my Custom Fit Mizuno 921 Forged Irons 5-PW with AMT Stiff Shafts, been waiting 3 weeks so far...

  • @tannercc

    • @mnhockeyone

      What's your handicap and how do you like the SEL's?

    • @tannercc
      @tannercc 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mnhockeyone Currently I am a 3 handicap. My recommendation would be to hit these clubs on the trackman. I went 💯 off the stats with an open mind. I was striking lots of clubs well (TaylorMade p790s, King Cobras, Mizuno's and five others), so it really came down to the stats and my swing instructors advice. I was hitting my 7 iron 200 with the TaylorMades (I was gonna go with those) but was hitting the Mizuno's 7 iron 180 every single time.
      The swing instructor said I was in the sweet spot on all five categories nearly every time, so I went with the Mizuno's. It was the best decision I've ever made. They feel amazing (spin rate, launch control, distance control are perfect for me) I've already shot my lowest round in the last two years (-2) and planning to go after my PR, which is -3.
      Sorry for the long explanation. Good luck with your club selection!
      Tanner

    I’m thinking of having them the lofts strengthened 2 degrees. They don’t seem to have much thump about them even when centred. What do you think?

    • @McGolf
      @McGolf  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      after about 500 balls hit. I really like the model. It is sneaky long when centered.

    Could you explain more on why you promote the gap wedge? What if I not only use my gap for full shots but also to chip around greens, would the more iron like shape wedge be just as effective?

    • @McGolf
      @McGolf  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the GW is typically a full swing club for most golfers. To take advantage of the forgiveness of the iron I prefer the model from the set. Half swings or swing that are delicate are as forgiving IMO where the wedge is most like a blade and off center shots and leading edges are more likely to hinder the average golfer

    didn't quite follow what you meant by bringing up the "4 and 5 come in Forged Hot Metal". Are you suggesting geting the 4 & 5 hotmetals and the 6-GW in the tour?

    • @McGolf
      @McGolf  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      the 4 and 5 are indeed like the hot metal forged product the next club head in the jpx line
