I like the original, too (and the original artist -- Cosmo Sheldrake). But the original is a very different _genre_ of music, with a different purpose and vibe. Sheldrake's music is good if you want to get meditative and into a dreamlike headspace. Pentatonix's cover of this (and almost every pop song they do) good if you want a dance party. With all that's going on in the news, lately, I find myself going back to Cosmo Sheldrake more and more. But his music is much more instrumentally focused, and less on the lyrics. For those who don't know: Cosmo Sheldrake is an experimental/ambient musician from the U.K. that combines different instruments and electronic sounds. This is from his 2018 album "The Much Much How How And I."

Wow Travis I have had so much fun enjoying your reactions to my favorite aCapella group. This one, in particular, is VERY special to me. Anytime I feel a bit down I can go and listen to this and it takes me right out of the doldrums. It's the first song I remember from PTX where we actually see Kevin's educational background and have the pleasure of hearing his operatic voice so deep and melodious. Terrific cover of a quirky little song by Cosmo Sheldrake. PTX's version is a real blast! There are several live versions of this song on TH-cam. You should check them out. It's OBVIOUS that the group is having a LOT of fun performing it on stage! I don't know if you're aware, but they just released their newest song/video yesterday. It's a mashup of two BTS songs.
PTX will help your channel grow but pentatholics (me included) will never stop asking for videos. I recommend diversifying with Home Free, Voice Play and other vocal groups. You could also watch the Sing-Off eps for PTX and Home Free.

Other artists? Not a group, but the most complete solo singer I have ever heard : Dimash Kudaibergen. Sometimes spelled Qudaibergen. Pronounced Dee-mosh Koo-die-bear-ghen. A good intro song is "SOS d'un terrien en ditresse" (S.O.S. from an earthling in distress). The 2018 performance from the Slavic Bazaar is very good. Turn on captions and pick the English subtitles from the gear icon unless you are good at French. That's a bit of a showy song from a French-Canadian rock opera, Starmania. A more balanced and nuanced song with a 27 year history would be the Russian song "Love Is Like A Dream" written and accompanied by Igor Krutoy in Moscow : th-cam.com/video/xLEQzfqO_l0/w-d-xo.html . It was a special 2019 concert for Alla Pugacheva, who was the first singer of this song back in 1994, when Dimash was born. I love this arrangement. When you listen to the original, you realize how creative they are. I listened to PTX’s version first and then was really curious. I also love their cover of Valentine. There are so many PTX songs that I can't wait to see you react to. Their Originals Can't Sleep Love (the live one from 2016 Popspring preferably), Sing, Run to You, and Love Again. Their mashup La La Latch. Their covers of Can't Hold Us, Problem, Say Something, Havana, I Need Your Love, and Imagine.... I could go on and on. I really don't think that you will find one that you don't like.
Cosmo Sheldrake, the originator of Come Along, is an independent artist. He is very into nature and his music is mostly about it. He often includes sounds of nature, such as birds and whales, in his music. I find his music fascinating. Having the ability to identify the pitches, notes, used in various bird calls and write that into your music, I would think, takes talent. Unfortunately ,I think, many are not into his type of music. I particularly love his album Wake Up Calls.

Terrific cover of a quirky little song by Cosmo Sheldrake. PTX's version is a real blast! There are several live versions of this song on TH-cam. You should check them out. It's OBVIOUS that the group is having a LOT of fun performing it on stage! I don't know if you're aware, but they just released their newest song/video yesterday. It's a mashup of two BTS songs.

Other artists? Not a group, but the most complete solo singer I have ever heard : Dimash Kudaibergen. Sometimes spelled Qudaibergen. Pronounced Dee-mosh Koo-die-bear-ghen. A good intro song is "SOS d'un terrien en ditresse" (S.O.S. from an earthling in distress). The 2018 performance from the Slavic Bazaar is very good. Turn on captions and pick the English subtitles from the gear icon unless you are good at French. That's a bit of a showy song from a French-Canadian rock opera, Starmania.
A more balanced and nuanced song with a 27 year history would be the Russian song "Love Is Like A Dream" written and accompanied by Igor Krutoy in Moscow : th-cam.com/video/xLEQzfqO_l0/w-d-xo.html . It was a special 2019 concert for Alla Pugacheva, who was the first singer of this song back in 1994, when Dimash was born. It is in Russian, so turn on captions and pick English from the subtitles menu from the gear icon. He also sings some amazing songs in Italian, Kazakh, Mandarin and a few in English.
Agreed, the "original" is the version I hear first ☺️ & I mostly heard the recent hits first time in their interpretation 😁

I love this arrangement. When you listen to the original, you realize how creative they are. I listened to PTX’s version first and then was really curious. I also love their cover of Valentine. Not songs you hear on the radio every day but I can see why they wanted to cover them. And yes Travis, I think you would rock that green suit. 😉🤗
There are so many PTX songs that I can't wait to see you react to. Their Originals Can't Sleep Love (the live one from 2016 Popspring preferably), Sing, Run to You, and Love Again. Their mashup La La Latch. Their covers of Can't Hold Us, Problem, Say Something, Havana, I Need Your Love, and Imagine.... I could go on and on. I really don't think that you will find one that you don't like.

Cosmo Sheldrake, the originator of Come Along, is an independent artist. He is very into nature and his music is mostly about it. He often includes sounds of nature, such as birds and whales, in his music. I find his music fascinating. Having the ability to identify the pitches, notes, used in various bird calls and write that into your music, I would think, takes talent. Unfortunately ,I think, many are not into his type of music. I particularly love his album Wake Up Calls.

With you saying about singing along despite not being a great singer (can't remember your exact words) but I heard someone describe PTX as "so good that they make _you_ think you can sing" and then of course most people (if you're anything like me, anyway) try and realise they can't reach even a fraction of their brilliance.
