Strange that Blue Murder hasn't reunited over the years. They were excellent.
I still remember June 1989 when first saw the Valley Of The Kings video on MTV one of the best songs i ever heard 30 years later it still is 3 guys pumping out that sick music Perfect song great great musicians.
Wow. That is exactly how I discovered them. I was watching MTV during dinner. And then, there they were. Three bad ass musicians, formed together and they called themselves, Blue Murder. I ran right out and bought the CD. Thirty years later, I still get goose bumps while listening to it.
Carmine was listing all the musicians on his new album and my jaw was literally on the floor. Savage 🤘🤘🤘

@@phillynott2459 wrong. Record sales are having a revival both on Vinyl and CD. John wants the old way without putting in the work. Depression or whatever, if you love to play your guitar, you will. I am recording my debut album now. And besides, the myth about him being unreplaceable with Whitesnake is just amazing considering how little he has worked ever since.
@@phillynott2459 So nothing happened since then except for Blue Murder besides some fans only talking about that one record. As great as he played, DC reused older material so Sykes didn't even co-write all the material? The rest of the world moved on and DC is definately making money.

and then the fast playing speed on the guitar that he had is getting slower it just happens when you get older and older we will never hear from him again

I met Carmine I believe it was 2019 at BB Kings at a Vanilla Fudge show & we spoke bout Blue Murder & He said he was actually flying out to LA for a little get together . I asked for an invite. He said it was a closed session . Hoping fir a Blue Murder Reunion

Who else doesn't like John ? La Coverdale ? I saw him live ten years ago and he was a charade. I left the show after a handful of songs. John plays waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Coverdale sings now. Sykes lifted every band he played in to higher grounds. He can't be a bigger fraud than Coverdale is now. He looks and sounds worse than my grandmother and she's still a hard rocking bitch. Let's get real and see things in perspective. Coverdale was a grandad when he or his management was smart enough to give Sykes a chance. And after that they fucked him over.

You say you agree let John get it out of his system., how long does he want.? I saw Whitesnake in 1978, their 1st tour, , and they were a far better, tighter, more together band with 2 superior guitar players than they ever were with Sykes. You say he was f.....d over,. He wa fired because he tried to persuade the rest of the band that he wanted Coverdale,(the bands leader and founder) replaced when he was recovering from throat surgery. This failed miserably so the whole band were dismissed, quite rightly. I have personally known John Sykes for nearly 45 years and I can tell you he is certainly not flavour of the month with many who know him and also played with him. He is widely known in professional music circles as a arrogant, aloof, self admiring lazy. mediocre guitarist, obsessed with vibrato, and extremely weak vocals with no range or feeling. In conclusion, Mr Sykes will continue to hibernate like a confused tortoise, probably for evermore. This will more than likely upset his dwindling fan base, (mostly female) and the likes of yourself who have been brainwashed into thinking that this is some kind of superstar which he certainly is not. ... Nothin personal, just fact..

I don't get Sykes... He has had so little activity over the last decade plus... Nothing really that great since the first BLUE MURDER album... And he blows off Carmine cause he wants to name this latest project "John Sykes"? I think more people would buy a BLUE MURDER album. John needs to get his shit together. I remember he had a project with Mike Portnoy... Mike bailed on that cause John couldn't get his shit together. Just like Eddie Van Halen, John is another lost guitarist unable to give his gift to his fans.
Craig Cefola Carmine won’t travel overseas due to health problems. Doing a Blue Murder reunion in the US only isn’t fair to the fans outside, and besides, in terms of drawing an audience, John Sykes as an artist has far more pull.
He's been involved in Thin Lizzy for a while
I don't think it's just about "naming."John Sykes has a solo album to tour,plus his Whitesnake stuff & maybe some Lizzy,as well AS Blue Murder that he presumably still wants to play....... Carmine's ego wouldn't play Thin Lizzy during Blue Murders' first run,& Carmine isn't on Sykes' new record.....
Fair do's Appice is getting on a bit,& for all his undoubted greatness,he isn't going to tour outside of North America again..
Trance 9 Sykes hasn’t done the Thin Lizzy thing for a decade.
Maybe people should get both sides of the story before they condemn anyone.
Overated for sure.
