I’ve recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease…. First thought was there goes my life. Although I’m still in shock and scared, I’m very optimistic. Reading his books and utilizing resources from The Michael J. Fox Foundation, has been a great inspiration.

Parkinson's disease could never take beauty away from Michael J. Fox's mind. If so, he probably would be wasting his time feeling miserable about his illness. Whenever I think about him, I feel cozy.

Michael J. Fox is a hero. I have loved hin ever since Family Ties. Ii love his sence of humor and witt. Hes more than an actor. Hes the greatest humanitarian ever. Michael and Tracy are so lucky to have each other with their beautiful grown children who are not on drugs never in trouble is a testament to the kind of parents they are. I love you Michael. You're so right. I so wish I could donate millions to this reasearch. Most of my family suffer from life-changing diseases like Parkinson's.. It's so sad to see him suffering like this, and even recently, the videos make me want to cry. I hope that when I'm old enough to work full-time I can donate money to the MJF Foundation on a regular basis. Mike's a hero and an amazing guy.
And maybe one day they'll find cures for such diseases..

Since I was a little girl 👧🏽 age 4 in 1985 I knew M.J.Fox was a really good humble man. He has always been so non typical Hollywood and just seemed like a cute cool guy in my neighborhood or a funny school teacher to me and my friends. With or without his condition he will always be one of my generation’s favorite person who happens to be famous 💙 I love his family for choosing him over fame.
My friend gave me a movie called Stuart Little on DVD which we saw in a nursing home. I have his voice if I play this video. Another friend who chaperones me told me that actors from the eighties weren't that important but she also wasn't that good at Scrabble.
My ex boss from work has this awful disease and every day is a challenge for him.Just simple things that we take for granted are so, so difficult like sleeping and getting dressed.He has recently had the brain implant, and although life is very tough at the moment due to the balance act that they need to do between medication and the implant stimulation, he is hopeful of a good outcome and I hope that he gets back his life from this awful affliction.Take care mike, and keep fighting :-)

I really hope stem cell research finds a cure really soon for everyone that has Parkinson. Michael is still young and I truely hope he will be able to live the rest of his life differently than he does right now as the rest of every other persons that has that disease. We did a little on stem cells last year in High School.. so I understand the basics. I'm so glad Mike's making a stand about it, bc if they do finally allow some kind of stem cell research (I think in the UK it's a little less strict and some research is permitted, don't quote me on that though) then cures for not just Parkinson's but diseases like diabetes (of which my boyfriend suffers) and hypothyroidism (I think!) which my mother suffers from..

its strange how varied parkinsons is. its alot like epilepsy, in that there are so many varying degrees of it, from the most mild jerks to the most extreme suffering unto death

People, this is a 13 years ago interview. And, please, note how Charlie Rose did ask the same question in a reformulated form multiple times over. Do not take Mike Fox as a micro biology expert just because he devotes so much time with the charitable organizations that attempt to fund as much as possible the real biology research specialists of today's world. Being a sufferer of such a debilatating disease is hell on Earth, while you are still living and working for your ongoing family. I, personally, do believe that there will be a special way at treating the nervous destabilizations that this disease get to do slowly but surely.
