when i finished the installation of fog, and till to the line with fog url to ask me to do more from web, then i input the url, but the web is not available, have you met such issue before?( everything was normal during installation)
I don't recall having that issue, but I may have in my early days using FOG. This is a networking problem at some level, and you'd need to troubleshoot through to find out where the problem is. The first step I would check is finding out what your IP address it. Can you ping your router? If you can get to the router, try to ping Google. You always have the option of re-running the install script and using that as a sanity check. Since you got all the way through it once, it should go a lot faster. You can also go to forums.fogproject.org/ to get help from people who use FOG on a more consistent basis than I do. They might have some suggestions as well. Good luck.
I installed fog server. I tried capture image over the network. When I select NIC boot option on client machine it is getting some error below. PXE-11: ARP timeout PXE-38: TFTP can not open connection. Please help me.
I have never encountered these errors in 5+ years of setting up FOG Project. I did do a Google search, and would suggest looking at the following two websites. Did you setup the DHCP options? What have you tried as part of your troubleshooting process? Are you running a VM or on Physical hardware for the FOG server? Hello, i tested FOG with our new INTEL Nuc. The new INTEL NUC Bios has only a UEFI, Legacy does not exist. Do you have experience with UEFI PXE Boot? THank you
Unfortunately, I don't. There does seem to be some information in the FOG Forums, but without equipment to test it with, I'm not sure how much help I can be. If you get it to work, please report back. I get a lot of FOG questions here, and you may be able to help someone else with a similar problem.
Go into your dhcp server's scope options. Assign scope 67 to ipxe.efi or the other half dozen uefi boot file name options. Bios and UEFI require different boot file names.
Thanks John for reporting chiming in on this. I hadn't considered such an easy and elegant solution. I will be including this information in the updated FOG videos that will come later in 2021.
Promxox does both virtualization and containerization. FOG is for cloning and deploying machine images. So, in comparison to more popular, proprietary packages Proxmox would be like VMWare ESXi and FOG would be like Norton Ghost.
Dear Sir, (Jeremy), It was wonderful video and learned a lot of things from this Video. Thank you and I heartily appreciate you and your work. Cloud you please explain about Location Plugin and Storage Node in Fog Server in detailed manner. How these options work and what is main Important of these options in Fog Server. I would say that It would be great helpful for me If you explain these options in detail. Because I have got to configure and use in My LAN Network 🙏🙏 Thank you once again!!
Welcome to the channel, and thanks for watching. Starting with the Storage Node. The purpose is to allow more flexible storage options (ex not on main fog server) and to increase the number of simultaneous PCs that can be imaged. I have a video covering this here: th-cam.com/video/62mcodY0EyQ/w-d-xo.html The Location Plugin is something I have never used. When I searched Google for it, the top result was for FOG v1.3.0 which is very old. My assumption, without some deeper research is that this may not be used anymore in current versions of FOG. I admit that I could be wrong on this explanation. One of the few complaints I have about FOG in its current form is that the documentation is often out of date. If you want to look at the full explanation for the Location Plugin, you can check out the FOG Wiki article: wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=Location_Plugin If you should happen to find some more current information on the Location Plugin, please feel free to drop a link in the comments.

I am not sure it is my assumption. I am sure that after watching this video link you can easily understand that what Location Plugin is.... Once you understand, please Do explanation to me.. Sir its my kind request to use mono audio. The audio is more on the lest side because you are speaking on the left side of the mic. Making it mono would help people with earphones/headphones.
Sorry, No. People complain no matter what I do with the audio. The majority wanted it stereo and that's the way it's going to stay. You're welcome to do your own thing on your own channel.
