This is the first video that I’ve seen, but I am totally loving y’alls vibes and I’m glad I subscribed!
As a pregnant mom of a toddler, traveling has seemed out of reach...but your tips for trips on a budget have been super helpful. Not sure if a car sleepover could work with a toddler, but maybe finding a nearby campground and squishing into a tent! That was our most recent adventure and it was a total blast!!
Also, bringing along some fruit or homemade granola/bars/bread, anything that doesn’t need to be refrigerated that you can make will definitely help with the expense!
Totally looking forward to watching what you come up with next!!
    Peace and love guys! ✌🏼🙏🏼

While in community college, I usually had a few hours between classes, and since I had to commute to school, I would spend quite a lot of time in a corner booth at the local McDonalds since it had an outlet underneath the table and I was out of the way of other people. I did most of my homework there, met and became semi-familiar with the employees, and if I was there when the breakfast menu closed and the regular menu opened up, I would sometimes be offered free hash browns that would otherwise be thrown out. They really don't mind you hanging around as long as you are polite and respectful of other people's space and experience. Watching this in prep for my road trip next week to try to cut some costs if possible. Awesome content, thanks for sharing your tips!

Look up gas prices in cities you want to travel to and make sure to fill up at the cheapest one. Buy meat, bread, cheese, chips, snacks, drinks, and whatever else you can fit into a small cooler so you save money on food. Check your tires before leaving, pack comfy clothes, bring a charger for your phone, look up places that have free wifi if needed.

What a fun video! Our family of 6 loves to go on road trips as often as we can. I remember one of the first ones my husband and I we went on (pre-children), we literally ended up getting lost in a small town called Mentone that we had never heard of. But it turned out to be so fun- we ate new food, found a beautiful little stream hidden away, and spent hours just exploring the trails. The best part was that is cost us next to nothing! So I guess if I had a road trip tip it would be to never be afraid of getting a little lost because you never know what you might find along the way, and it'll probably end up being cheaper than what you had planned in the first place!

My BFF and I love taking road trips. There are things you just learn about people while on the road that you never would otherwise. Our last trip was to Palm Springs and we had a blast- even though it was in the 120s (degrees)! Going during the hottest time of year allowed us to stay at am awesome resort with a cold pool for around $35 each per night. Total score! Oh, and we always buy food at a store when we arrive so we don’t pay the high restaurant prices.
Thanks for your awesome tips! Ps- always put a couple of towels in the trunk. You never know. :)

I love doing road trips! We are also geocachers so being in the car and being able to stop along the way to find caches is the best! Usually every couple of years we are able to take a vacation. 2 summers ago we left NY and went to spend a few days touring TN for the first time spending most of it in Nashville. Then we left for GA for a night and then off to the final destination of Myrtle Beach for another couple of days before taking a couple of days to get back home. All in all it was almost 3,000 miles we put on the rental car!!

Yes, hiding your stuff is so important, safety first! Thieves are mainly opportunists and know tourists are easy targets. Love your idea of hiding things in plain sight like food containers. Hospitals, doctor's offices, hotels, libraries, malls, etc usually have free wifi that you can reach from the parking lot too, and they're used to people coming and going so they'll never bother you.

They are very picky so we bring bread, peanut butter, and cereal boxes which cuts down on cost when they are hungry at night or want a snack. We have to do the hotel for the night, I personally wouldn't do it I get scared something may happened but that's just me. Looking forward to some more videos.

My Son and I take very long Road Trips often. Our last was 6500 miles from Florida, up the Coast with a stop in NJ and NY State then up to Niagara Falls and East across Canada to the coast and back down the East Coast to Florida. Great trip and very cheap for us because i'm frugal and always plan ahead and budget. Throughout Canada we stayed in College Dorm rooms which were dirt cheap. Wish the US would open up College dorms to travelers in the Summer like Canada does. Our biggest expense was a car rental to save the wear and tear on my own car. Great advice and video. We always packed a cooler, there's ones that run off the car outlets, but it's better to initially cool the box down with ice. We froze all our drinks too, and that kept the food cool as the drinks melted. Packed stuff to make sandwiches, and hot dogs that we'd grill at a campsite. Then my Dad would pop open the back of his Jeep, and we'd picnic out of the back of it. Have baby wipes in the car to clean up messes and freshen up without having to stop. Also a jug of water for drinking and a jug of water for light washing up. Wearing comfy clothes is so important, and layers if there's a big difference between daytime and nighttime temps. Pillows and blankets make long trips more comfortable too. Driving ~65mph and keeping a consistent speed (chill out and enjoy the drive, not passing, going with the flow) will make any car sip gas (unless you have a strong headwind pushing against you). Also make sure your tires and battery are in good shape, and your fluids are topped up. Nothing will ruin a roadtrip like a breakdown in the middle of nowhere. A cool trick that I want to try is buying some fine black mesh or netting, and depending on whether there's metal or fabric around the inside of your car windows, you either use magnets or velcro to hold up the fabric. This makes a bug net, so you can crack your windows for ventilation without worrying about bugs. You can buy them, but it also seems like they'd be cheap to make and fit to your specific car.
