Dude! We're driving from FL to Seattle getting on a cruise ship then coming back. I've been searching youtube for exactly this but YOUR video is PERFECT! Thank you so much, you probably saved us a lot of aggravation :)
I always carry fire making tools.....lighter kindling fire starter and at least 2 small sticks of wood. You can use it to keep warm give light or make yourself more visible.
Use straps instead of bungee cords - you can get them at stores like Lowes or Home Depot; I know someone who had a bungee cord snap in his eye and he lost his vision but thankfully did not have brain damage. Straps are not expensive and are safer.
FYI, "flushable wipes" aren't biodegradable, for a good reason. Flush them when you are in a hotel, not a motel, or somplace that uses a septic system. You shouldn't be flushing them anyway, unless you are in a big city,
Hey how’s it going, hmmm well I always recommend KA spots but I mean off the highly way is fine, not directly, a few car lengths into the shoulder is typically fine. I’ve done it, police may swing by but you can just let them know you were tired driving and usually they are ok with that!
Hi Amelia, I use Express VPN, a lot of people use Nord VPN but nord has been speculated to hold data for like a month and delete it so I'm not the biggest fan. I hope this helps!
All that is on my equipment list already, but the gas can. Do NOT take a gas can in a car! Gas fumes will make you sick and are just plain dangerous. Store that in your pickup.bed
This is the same list that you get from other "experts" in dozens of other similar videos. Why don't you leave out the obvious things and feature only those which are most relevant to your topic, or add some unusual, but useful items, like a security box that can be secured in to the vehicle or in a motel room, somehow. Regarding the emergency flair, you can buy the usual flame-type that last for 30 minutes, or the new LED flares, that are lay flat or stand vertically, which last for hours, and flash in different patterns.
Hey Don what’s going on. Well I never have claimed to be an “Expert”. And saying some items are “obvious” is subjective. It might not be so obvious to the next person. Security box definitely 1 great recommendation.... Appreciate you taking time out of your day to watch the vid and leave a comment ☺️
Traveling from Oregon to Georgia in August! Thanks for the tips ☺️

Don't flush "flushable" wipes they are 100% not flushable. And will clog pipes.
Lol
