    Congratulations on surpassing the 500 Subscriber level. I had never thought of that, I always wondered. I have seen bikes like that and always thought it was odd, that only one light was on during low beam.

      Thank you mike. Yea I was surprised the first time someone said i had a light out but I had seen where that was stock. So it took me a year to finally break down and fix it. Still unsure why it's just the German models. Have been hoping someone from germany will comment on the reasoning.

    I hate when bikes only have one of two lights on, always looks like one is burned out. Nice upgrade dude!

    You would think that companies would go for the maximum light available on High beam, but even my old trusty Chevy truck had either lows or highs from the factory. The best thing I did for that old girl was installing a relay setup that allowed the low beams to stay on when switching the high beams on. A "night and day" difference, you might say! :) And those LED lights for motorcycles, like the Daymaker knockoff I use, which does what you are doing here with your Africa Twin sure do make seeing the deer on the sides of the road a lot easier! Anything to help keep the rider/driver safe is fine by me!

      I agree man.. I don't really know why the German models are like this. They have crazy laws over seas.

    That's probably the best upgrade you could do I did it to mine see real good at night now class hope that helps for people that see you too that's a great how to video

      I have ridden at night twice since then and i can definitely see better on the sides of the road to be able to look out for deer. That's my main concern which is half the reason i don't ride at night to begin with.

    I think the German TÜV(authority responsible for tech safety) assumed that two close lights could be mistaken for a distant car and misjudge the distance to an oncoming motorcycle. See Fortnine clip on the subject.
    Thanks for Video and greetings from Germany👋🏻

      Not a problem.. thank you for the explanation as I can fully understand what they were thinking. Since then have they changed that where motorcycles with two headlights are always on or it still like mine was?

    Boy you are way smart… your videos are amazing.
    If you ever would like to make an old vs new Africa twin video come up to Batesville and ride my 21 AT Adventure Sport DCT. I’ve got 2 bikes and we can ride part of the Ms. TAT.

    Honestly, I've done this to a few bikes over the years, mostly Yamahas. I just don't get why the mfg doesn't do this when building them great mod!

    K = Kelvin doesn't say anything about luminosity, it's color temperature. 6000k = daylight.
