  • I cleared the rest of the logs and started a new wood pile. I ran out of pallets so just used tree branches to lay the logs down to keep them off the ground. I am trying to get all my wood down - split/stacked before the snow arrives!! One more load of logs. Take care, Scott

How long does it typically take for fire wood to dry/season properly where you live? Is the wood your gathering dry enough to use should it be necessary?

I guess it depends on the type of wood you're burning. I normally let my wood dry for a season before I use it. How about yourself and where you are? Take care, Scott

Here, our sources are alder, ash, maple, red cedar, various firs/pines. We're lucky to have enough space/supply to maintain a 3 year rotation/supply and stack types separately based on drying time. @@scottnoiles8131
