Spring up at my off grid cabin in Canada
I thought you guys would enjoy this video from a few years ago. I flew over to Canada to do some work on my cabin in April and wasn't expecting the level of snow I encountered. It hampered my ability to do work up at the cabin as I couldn't haul equipment/materials up with my quad bike until the snow melted. I really do need to buy myself a snowmobile at some point. Take care, Scott

Life up at my off grid cabin in Canada in 2023

Happy new year! Hope you guys had a nice break. I have put together a collage of videos of what it's like living at my off grid cabin in 2023 and some of the things I do up here. Take care, Scott
Goodbye from my off grid cabin in Canada

I have closed down my cabin for the winter as I am returning to England to be with my family. I will miss all the trees, animals, birds, mushrooms (lol) and the lakes. I will miss my cabin! I will hopefully be back in Spring. Cheers to all of you who have watched my videos and subscribed to my channel! Take care, Scott
Pizza night at the off grid cabin in Canada

I provide an update on the trees I fell up by the solar array for those of you who are following my channel. The pizza is at the end of the video. I normally don't have pizza's at this time of the year due to the lack of sun as a rely on my solar panels and generator for my energy needs. I had to put on my generator to fully charge my batteries to use the airfryer. Living off grid is a drag som...

I finally decided to clear out all the clutter in my container and add a shelf to free up space on my workbench. I also provided an update on my woodpile at the end of the video. Any ideas on how to fix my ladders to side of my container would be much appreciated. Take care, Scott
Splitting and stacking more wood before the snow arrives at the cabin
มุมมอง 1.3K10 หลายเดือนก่อน
I cleared the rest of the logs and started a new wood pile. I ran out of pallets so just used tree branches to lay the logs down to keep them off the ground. I am trying to get all my wood down - split/stacked before the snow arrives!! One more load of logs. Take care, Scott
Collecting water at my off grid cabin in Canada
มุมมอง 44210 หลายเดือนก่อน
I had to go down to the lake in my quad bike to collect water in my water jugs. The leaves are all gone now and winter is definitely here...Just waiting for the snow. Once the snow arrives, I will collect the snow for my drinking water. Cheers! Take care, Scott

I am trying to split and stack as many logs as I can before the snow arrives. I had some lovely visitors near my cabin the other day. A pack of wolves woke me up at 4am howling! I have seen their scat near my cabin but this is the first time I have heard them! Amazing. Take care, Scott
My ATV trailer is knackered again up at the cabin
มุมมอง 34010 หลายเดือนก่อน
My tailgate on my ATV trailer snapped off again. I managed to weld a piece of metal strapping to it which will hopefully reinforce the tailgate bracket. When it rains it pours... I have about 100 logs to transfer down to my woodshed area, so I need to get this trailer back on the road! Take care, Scott
Set up and review of my Timberjack up at my off grid cabin.
มุมมอง 12810 หลายเดือนก่อน
I bought the Timberjack from Amazon as a means to save my back and the chain on my saw. The Timberjack enables you to lift the tree off the ground to cut it up and also protects your back. It works great! I also provide an update on the Supmix chainsaw after five tanks of fuel. Will do a proper review later. Cheers for watching. Take care, Scott

Hi, I just bought this chainsaw... I was trying to figure out where the chain/bar oil adjuster is.. The manual says put a screwdriver in the hole near the clutch.. I see nothing there.. i do however see a screw that looks like an adjuster... Is that what I turn to regulate the flow? I sent an email to supmix but still waiting for a reply.. Thanks for any info.

Yes, it's the screw underneath by the clutch guard. I had to adjust mine shortly after using it for the first time. Take care, Scott

sorry but Fuck Maplewifi! absalutly the worst experience of my life and they still have my frikn money!!!!!! this is what google search says about Maplewifi........... Maple WiFi is a wireless internet service provider that offers unlimited data plans with no data limits. However, some users have reported issues with their service. Here are some common complaints: Speed issues: Some users have reported inconsistent speeds, with speeds varying from 2-25mbps, depending on weather and season. This can be frustrating for users who need reliable internet speeds for remote work or online learning. Customer service: Some users have reported difficulty in getting help from Maple WiFi’s customer service team, with long wait times and unhelpful representatives. Equipment issues: Some users have reported issues with the Nighthawk M1 portable mobile router hotspot, including connectivity problems and limited range. Refund and cancellation policies: Some users have reported difficulty in getting refunds or canceling their service, with some being charged fees for early termination. It’s worth noting that Maple WiFi has a 7-day money-back guarantee, and they claim to have a no-data-limits policy. However, some users have reported issues with getting refunds or resolving their complaints. As with any service provider, it’s essential to carefully review the terms and conditions before signing up.

With nearly 100 videos and just 574 subscribers (I'm one of them!), maybe you should consider to make less videos, but longer. Maybe try to collect some footage over 5-6 days and then make a single 15-20 minutes video out of it. Your longest video (the previous one to this) had the most views, so I'd think that there is your little hint for success. It might also attract some advertisers.

I wonder if you got the gas/two stroke mixture wrong as this could be why it's smoking badly when it ran? I would check the spark plug (it's set right/spark) along with the air filter to see if anything in the carburettor that's preventing it from starting. hope you get it going!

I will do a proper review once I run it through its paces. My initial thoughts of the saw are positive. I have cut up 2.5 cords of firewood with the saw and it's handled it really well. I had to make some minor adjustments re: bar oil adjuster screw and turn down the idle of the saw. The chain has worked well - although I have run my file across it at every fuel up.
