    I am also betting gnomes and gingerbread men or gals would sell very well. I have seen things online and sold out very quickly. Yes gingerbread seems more Christmasy but some people love them all year. Michael’s even had Halloween gingerbread this year. Great video

    My mushroom boys sold out yesterday at my market and I had 20! also, my Leggy Frogs aaaaalways go away so fast, they don't even last half the event even if I made 15 this time.
    My advice would be to overstock on those if you can!!! Whales and penguins too, although I didn't sell out I only have 2 each of them.

    I've kinda merged the scrubbies/washrag options and make them with with a strand of cotton along with the scrubby yarn. It's great exfoliating washrag for the body, plus they work better with bar soap, which is cheaper than body wash in the long run.

    Thank you for posting this. I was wondering about the T-shirt yarn bags because I know they will cost more and I’m going to have to do items that cost less (like tassels, key chains, different handles to put with the purses, book covers and small baskets, etc.) but I didn’t know if people sold them at markets because I haven’t seen them. So thank you for this 🤍 I’m inspired!

    Loved your video. Could you give prices? I need ideas on pricing Thanks!

    • @reigningcharmz
      @reigningcharmz  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Aw yay I'm glad! So for my prices, I go by what I want to make an hr, (about $15/hr right now), and then I figure out how much time an item takes me to make. So if something takes me an hour, I add $15 to the price. Then, I figure out the cost of the materials. My big bees for example, take about $2.50 in materials to make and about an hr to make, so I add $2.50 to $15. Then I round up just a little bit to account for taxes and other expenses, so I sell my big bees for $20! Hope this helps!🥰

    • @reigningcharmz
      @reigningcharmz  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I price my market bags at around $45 depending on how long they take to make. They usually take me about 2-3 hours if I'm not making anything too complicated. I don't mainly focus on market bags though. I sell a lot of amigurumi! Don't be afraid to charge your worth, though! If it took you 6 hours to make, charge the hourly rate you want to be paid☺

    Do I need to have a permit to sell at a craft fair? I am new at this and I’m very confused by all the information out there! Can somebody break it down into simpler terms for me?

    • @reigningcharmz
      @reigningcharmz  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! So it depends on your state, but most of the time the only thing you need to make sure you do is collect and report sales tax to your state. For that, you usually need a sales tax permit from your state, which is very easy to obtain. You just google your state's sales tax application and go from there! I hope this helps!

    I have made all of your recommendations, but they are really tough sells here (northern MN). Everybody wants WalMart prices. Time is worth nothing. Experience is worth nothing (& I have over sixty years of crochet experience, not kidding).
    Have to question your time spent making an item; scrunchies are at least 15 minutes, no matter the stitch/yarn used (and I don't waste bulky yarns on scrunchies).
    How big are your washcloths versus a dishcloth?
    Face scrubbies are beyond the hicks here; nobody "gets" them.
    Toys take way too long to have any profit (I want to see you make one in 15 minutes, truly, not believing it).

    • @reigningcharmz
      @reigningcharmz  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I do my very best to provide accurate information, so everything that's said here has been true for me and my experience and for others I have spoken with and/or watched on youtube. The scrunchies I make (and they are the popular ones) are the velvet ones that are soft. I've timed myself making them and they truly only take me about 5 minutes to complete. Other creators have said the same, like camrynscutecreations as she also has a five minute velvet scrunchie tutorial on her youtube channel.
      My washcloths aren't massive, just a basic square. To everyone I've spoken with and through my own experience, washcloths have been a good sell.
      There are tons and tons of patterns out there for quick works for toys. I have several youtube videos of me making those toys. One is how many mini octos can I make in an hour where I average about one every 12 minutes. I have a mini bee pattern I created that takes me 30 minutes, costs about $1.00 in supplies (on the high end) and they sell for $10. Granted that $18/hr may be a bit low for handcrafted items, but I'm still building a brand. All of this being said, I definitely don't charge as much as I'd like to, but there is still tons of profit made, and this video highlights items that I have known to be popular. I hope this cleared up some of your inquires
