We compare all three Fuzz Face Mini pedals with a full-size JHF1 Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face, using a GigRig QuarterMaster 4 with a separate true bypass loop for each stompbox. The amp is our stock Marshall JTM45 reissue and the guitar is a Fender Classic Series '60s Stratocaster Lacquer.

I really like those hendrix fuzzes, it’s a great balance of the woof of germanium and the clarity of the red. Still we’re talking minute
Like em all. I've got the blue mini at home. My other fuzz-type pedal being an orig. Russian Army Tank green Muff. Used to have an old Rat, as well- but stupidly traded it.( I do have a beefed-up two-channel cascading Rat upgrade/clone thingy though, by Southampton Pedals). Been gassing to get another Fuzz Face -probably silicon this time. Likely the Hendrix but the red mini is nice. Whatever is the best deal and available.

The blue silicon fuzz face sounds more like a Big Muff compared to the other fuzz face pedals shown in this demo. I kinda like it.
Every time I get a new Fuzz Face, I am filled with joy that I'll never need another Fuzz Face. Then I hear another Fuzz Face, and get another new Fuzz Face.

I have the big one I'm glad I bought that one hundred and fifty bucks though took a month and a half to get here through Sweetwater. But it's a good one

I realy dig the Hendrix mini!
The hendrix mini is great sounding but it has less gain than the other silicon. The band of gypsys fuzz is more like a blend of overdrive and fuzz, that’s why it’s called the « band of gypsys distortion » so if you don’t have a good overdrive to pair your fuzz with, get the band of gypsys, if you do, get the green one
If you tweak your amp accordingly, any of these will make you happy. Rock on!

Not everyone can make Fuzz pedals sound right. But Jimi was one of them who can among hand full of guitar players I've known of.
Just me but I love my mini Hendrix fuzz face over all fuzz pedals

The Red Ge sounds nice, but none of em beat the Bonamassa model.
Just bought germanium...dunno bout others color...need to learn the tone wisely...sigh...its expensive thou :(
Big and little jimi are so close in sound I'd go little.
Just picker up a Musket Fuzz but the Bonamassa sounds great and the new Wampler Velvet Fuzz must be great cause it's all sold out at PGS for the First run.

The two Hendrix fuzzes do sound different that's odd
better! It is more refined, tuned, tweaked. And that with stable silicon. I love well designed silicon fuzz faces. The turquoise disc is one of them.

They Should have built the sound around the Tom Sholz Rockman and improved it. They bought all his patents

Excelent shootout. Clarified for me why Hendrix tone in Woodstock is more bright and treble witch red fuzz face germanium than others concerts but Hendrix signature has a lot of lows and distortion how we can see he using in many iothers concerts.

@@thatfellarosto funny seeing this comment but it was actually a silicon fuzz which I as really an octavia circuit without the octave and that is now sold as the band of gypsys fuzz

light blue = best IMHO ...The differences between the dark blue and the red one are so tiny that you have to be stupid to want to own both.

The light blue one seems to be the most open and clear sounding. Very pretty. The red and darker blue one are much too muddy !
ffm jimi hendrix is a real fuzz
Ill buy whatever is reasonably priced and sounds good.
If your song sucks it doesn't matter which one you choose.

Those Jimi fuzz faces have way too much low end. Fine in isolation but crappy in a mix.
You can 'mix' it in.
....that souds like a shit - most of the time
