    In this video, Sam takes a look at the Dunlop FMM3 Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face, and compares it to the Fuzz Face Mini Germanium and Band Of Gypsy's models.
    The FMM3 mini Jimi Hendrix Fuzzface features the same tonal circuit as the popular, full sized JHF-1 model, but condensed down into a more pedalboard friendly unit. Based on the original Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face that Jimi used on classic albums such as Electric Ladyland, the FMM3 offers that warm, smooth fuzz tone that Hendrix made famous.
    Really simple to use, it features just controls for Fuzz and Volume, features a true bypass switch and can be powered by a 9v battery or power supply.

    I think you forgot to mention how awesome these things sound when you back off the guitar's volume knob.

      Dime it and use the guitars volume and you’ll get everything from overdrive to full on fuzz and everything in between

    Hendrix never overused the fuzz like this! Ever!

      LOL- To say Hendrix never over-used fuzz is a testament to just how good he really was. In all reality- had anyone else used fuzz to the degree he did- it would've been a washed-out muddy mess no one wanted to listen to. Hendrix could use an amp that was cranked wide open with a super-hot fuzz on it- and still sound mellow and melodic. Even stuff like Foxy Lady which is washed-out- that's what makes it sound good though. He knew how to use that washed out, over the top fuzz sound to express melodic intensity like no one else.

    In my opinion, with a fuzz face, guitar volume on 10, on the neck pick up, is the one unusable setting, and not a setting any/many pro musicians have ever used--yet it's the way so many videos demo them. In my opinion, you should run a fuzz face into something slightly overdriven, and then use any setting between zero and 9.7 on the guitar volume knob--especially on the neck pickup. It's a radical difference. This will yield tones more like what people are familiar with, from their favorite songs. Just a tip.

    Get that guitar on that freakin bridge pickup. Literally played one riff with the hendrix blue fuzz on the bridge pickup.

    I dunno, fuzzface demos never sound like hendrix to me. They say its the circuit he used but then it has a million times more gain.

    One of the most knobs on a guitar the Volume knob learn to use it to get tons of sounds

    Thing about all of this fuzz... you can play the wrong chords or notes and nobody can tell the difference. It all sounds like a wall of chainsaw.

      LOL agreed....what's even funnier is people in this video playing hendrix tunes like hendrix played everything on a fuzz which he didn't do...LOL...most of Hendrix records were recorded on clean Fender amps

      @anthonymangiaracina1163 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      They overuse the fuzz most of the time by cranking it way more than it needs to be. You can use it for a great "Hendrix" clean if you dial things down a bit. Check out "10 ways to make fuzz pedals work for you" by That Pedal Show. His intro is on a Hendrix fuzz and it sounds phenomenal.

    any fuzz face review that doesn't show how the pedal sounds when you back off on the guitar volume knob is worthless.
