Amity Warme on Cosmic Debris Featuring the Generator Mid

  • Amity Warme challenges herself on one of the most classic finger crack climbs in Yosemite - Cosmic Debris. This route is arguably one of the most intense single pitch cracks in the valley, beginning with bomber locks until you reach a hand jam rest. From there the crack gets narrower and the climbing gets unyielding. Battling a constant overhang and microscopic foot holds, SCARPA's Generator Mid provides laser-like precision to confidently ascend Cosmic Debris.

Great video, interesting to get the glimpse into their van life, and of course the amazing climbing by Amity!

Bill was an amazing climber; in my opinion he was one of the first elite climbers who realized getting better ( technically) was more important than just getting stronger.

@@craigbritton1089 He was plenty strong though! Strong enough to accidentally send the 3rd ascent of Phoenix (he didn't have any gear with him after reaching his partner's high point. He had to get some gear from a guy hanging on a rope taking pictures!).

@@johntuttle9544 he wasn't weak; but having watched him climb: he was just so much more efficient and not prone to using any excess strength/force than needed.

Going for the crimp on the finishing jug/ flat sloper is such an outdoor climber move. Loved it.

Very impressive. At my best I could barely climb the easiest cracks at Paradise Forks.

Awesome climbing! I heard this route goes easier in TC Pros...
Just kidding. I love my Scarpa Maestro Mids, as well as my TC Pros, and I will replace them with the new Generator Mids when they go bust.
