JJF is not leaving the tour any time soon. He is hungry for few more Championships. He is by a long shot the best surfer of his generation. Medina extremely close second
medina had some really good waves but im glad they didn't give a perfect 20. when the waves have that much potential i think they need to leave some room in the scale.
Sure, but they gave JJF a 9.77 against Medina, right after he almost came out of a massive wave. If he were to come out, it would need to be a 13 by that scale

Medina is the best surfer in Teahupoo, because of the advantange of goofy in this wave. If he made that wave vs JJF... one of the best waves in history of Teahupoo for sure!

You should get more recognition by WSL. How they wouldn’t be interested in a fan like you and your website, etc., is ridiculous. I don’t like WSL corporate: they make me so angry sometimes and I don’t need that as I’m a soul surfer for over 30 years and watches almost every CT comp since I can remember. They burn to many good people! Honestly, I don’t think I would ever work for them and I’m a degreed professional with demonstrated success who has worked with Fortune 500 companies for over 25 years. ELO 2.0?What Kelly has done for the sport is incredible! One thing I like about the sport is they have some of the best athletes in the world, but they are so low key and humble that they don’t get much attention from the masses, unless you live in Brazil 😂 My wife is Brazilian. ❤️ I do think that will change and is changing but waves will always keep the pros humble. Thanks for all you do for the sport! I haven’t a clue who will win this event: they are all surfing out of their skin. The only thing I’m waiting for is firing Cloudbreak. 🤙🤙 Maybe Griff or Medina and Simmers, but I’m bias toward Simmers and Medina. When the waves are firing they all are my favs and the only standout is the swell. 👍

I am a sucker for the momentum stat which we’ve been working on but to see who ‘tanks’ (like, for example, Italo tanks in El Sal) is interesting and I’m sure revealing.
I’ve been doing live instagram updates and uploaded videos (just loaded one from today half an hour ago), but stuff falls through the cracks because I’m a one man show. But check this out. Yeh. It’s hard to talk about everyone in the draw and I don’t see Seth as a threat unless it’s bigger/thicker waves. That’s probably not fair to him because I watched him get some good ones down the point today and I like his coach.

I watched him surf today and immediately regretted not picking him! He got best wave of the day. Plus it will be bigger tomorrow.
I was thinking Caroline too, but Simmers thrives in waves like this and she is ripping: her progression is exponential. 🤙🤙

I agree. That small lip that formed at the exit of that pit was evil.
I think Molly's backside barrel at pipe was right up there with Tati's at Chopes - which was epic to be sure...
To experience either of those waves would blow most mortals' minds
